  1. I am in love with Oricorio right now. Pokemon with sub-species were already pretty cool, but Oricorio just oozes personality. Cheerleading, hula dancing, flamenco dancing, and what I believe is japanese theater, I like it all! (Feel free to correct me if you think one of them is something different than what I put btw)
  2. That's pretty unsurprising considering that these moves don't trigger sessions or have any ad-libs attached, but they've got interesting uses. For example, if you want to land a session but attacks that your other members follow up with are resisted, repeled, or drained, using a super effective light/dark move will probably be a better choice due to their inherently higher base damage, thus negating the downside of launching a session that would eventually heal back some of the damage you just laid on (because geez Touma could you use something other than fire for once?!). Also these elements contain the syphoning spells for both hp and ep so it's a nice alternative to healing if you want to continue dealing damage. Just get creative and you might surprise yourself. It certainly doesn't replace the other attacks but it does have good utility.
  3. I think if your game has any kind of OHKO mechanic, nothing should be exempt from it's power. I'm even ok with the RNG being heavily against OHKOs so long as it's at the very least possible. Unfortunately most developers don't seem to agree with me. I get why, but that won't change my opinion.
  4. Kiria most definitely. While her character development wasn't that interesting, her base personality is solid. What sold me on her though was her battling style and consistency. Her magic is downright overpowered and proves light and dark attacks are useful (Naga!), among ice and healing too. And by consistency, I mean I appreciate that they kept her to singing most of the time as opposed to someone like Tsubasa who does literally everything and I start to wonder what she's supposed to be. Also I'm a big piece of tenor trash so having her mostly sing invokes my biases. Honorable mention to Ellie because I ship her and Itskui so hard, and she's just overall a fun character.
  5. I guess that's fair. I'd go into why I think the game is leagues less real time than the majority and that you could totally handle it, but I know what it's like to try getting someone with low reaction time to play video games with said elements sooo... yeah I'll just let it be.
  6. Noel, now back to being alert, takes note of Ricardo firing at the bandit boss. This gives her the idea to fire at him herself, essentially pressuring the bandit from two sides. "Type XIII!" Noel fires a Revolver Blast at the bandit boss
  7. Child of Light is pretty short, and only costs around $15 if i'm not mistaken. It's not all that replayable in my opinion, but experiencing the game for the first time is borderline magical (mostly in part to it's wonderful art and music). Also it's not a real grind-y game so that helps.
  8. Noel was caught by that which emitted for the glowing circle, however it's effects were very different that she expected. She found herself falling asleep? Thankfully, the effects wore off fast enough, though Noel felt too tired to return fire. She was ready to fight, but not before a moment or two of glazing over.
  9. Noel drew Bolverk at last, knowing that if she were to be swept into the battle she'd be dead without them. She was far from conspicuous about the act though. Noel rested her arms at her sides discreetly, awaiting a clear moment to fire into the fray. If Shepard and Thyme could handle this quickly, she'd rather not just make noise with her revolvers.
  10. Thyme's voice of reason brought Noel back from her adrenaline rush, and she blushed due to her rash actions. She started by helping Thyme off the ground, and said quietly "I'm sorry, though I won't expect your forgiveness." Noel then focused on calming the crowd down, but this was proving difficult, because if a few villagers glanced at her, she'd retreat a few steps and got redder in the face. This is so hard! It's been forever since I tried negotiation when battle could have worked! Her hands were at her back, twitching, wanting to draw Bolverk, just barely holding back. In the end all she could produce was "...please...stop..."
  11. First of all don't allow the player to commit incest. That's a whole other topic, but still doesn't hurt to put it out there though. Ok, if we wanted to do a more projection of self with this, I'd recommend a dialogue options system similar to Xenoblade Chronicles X. Not only would it help you get more support affinity, but it'd also show a clearer personality difference between playthroughs all without impacting the story, unless it's a side quest. That's where you could get multiple outcomes. Allowing you to easily start with a different class would be ideal too, but only if the dialogue reflected your particular class. I only played a little bit of FE 12 and probably won't go back unless it gets a real release in the west (and if Earthbound 1 can get a release in 2015, FE 12 can be somewhere down the line), but one major issue with the writing for the game was reflecting your chosen class. The supports with certain characters and the avatar felt so awkward with a mage doing intensive weapons training. You could argue the same with Awakening and Fates, but then again they expect you to keep the default class so that's kind of our fault (and yes, my fates avatar is a monk). Finally, MORE HAIRSTYLES!!! :P
  12. "Well..." Noel began, "The town seems like the best choice for now, though we should go in away from the commotion. I don't think they should meet us when they're too excited" As Noel was talking however, she heard quick footsteps behind her, and turned around to see Shepard rushing right towards the crowd. "Ah!" Noel exclaimed. "O-or we just run after him and just improvise." She ran further ahead, essentially covering his flank. She wasn't about to let him dive head first into danger without someone to bail him out if need be.
  13. Noel blushed at Thyme's all-girl plan since it included her, but she already got part of what she wanted. Pressing further would most likely cause the group to bristle at her, and in-fighting was the last thing Noel wanted. So she shuffled over towards the road and said "...I'll wait over here until you're ready to go" and plopped down on the ground so her legs wouldn't get tired from standing about. Her one regret was that she wouldn't get to cook tonight. The very thought of being trusted with the meals excited her inner passion for cooking.
  14. Noel was rattled by the strange journey, but the change of scenery at least made things bearable. She then promptly adorned the cloak with ease. "It almost reminds me of wearing my old N.O.L. coat," she reminisced. Noel then turned to Fennel. "Um... if we really wanted info fast, why not go together? We could... learn more if we asked a few different people at once." She hoped she was making a good point here, but Noel was really attempting to avoid the possibility of being nominated. Playing vanguard in an unfamiliar area was thought that made her nervous.
  15. "Yeah, I agree Thyme." Noel was glad someone else was eager to test the orbs. If it was only her, she thought it would be super awkward trying to make the first move since she'd stood at a bit of a distance from the rest. Noel could still see an image of herself clumsily trying to follow the pull, as if wielding a metal detector or a compass.
  16. Well... I guess it's hard to argue with the guy who says your choices line up to your waifu and son. :P
  17. Isn't this thread already a thing? Of course mine makes no sense. Awakening-hero-light magic-singer.

    Dreams

How the heck did you just describe all of my worst nightmares in childhood?! That being said I also dreamt a lot about being chased by reptiles and getting blow into the air by the wind in those days too. My dreams are a lot less morbid now, if a little harder to make sense of. Like traveling through what looked like a desert temple thing that let out at the Iowa Speedway where the hold the nascar races. There were a lot of restaurant booths in the temple for some reason and they had random supplies in them. See? Harder to understand.
  19. Noel smiled at the orb she held. Sure, she never used it before, but she found its presence warming when compared to the gloomy purple around her. "Thank you...!" she said to the voices' figure. Noel still felt out of place here, and chance is a rather embarrassing way to get picked, but opting out seemed beyond her ability now. She decided her best option was to roll with this and hope for the best.
  20. Your collection of FE games is identical to mine. XD (Just not so much the order played) Welcome to Serenes Forest, Fredrick!
