  1. Silvally is my favorite pokemon mainly for its story and its cool design. Shoutouts to Alolan Raichu, Scizor, Gallade, and a bunch more!
  2. Ninian is cute and is a great dancer, plus all of her fan art is nice Fernand had a very sad death, even though I didn't cry Pent is an amazing unit, that's it
  3. Have a support that you like that you wanna recommend that you think doesn't get talked about alot that you like? Post it here! I'll start. Fates: -Camila and Keaton. It's a cute support that isn't focused on Camila's obsession with Corrin. Although Keaton's thing may be unsettling to some. -Beruka and Kaze. I can relate to this support because I walk a lot when I don't know what to do. It's relaxing. -Beruka and Corrin. Namely the A support. Corrin pretty much saying 'Come me at bro' to Beruka was kinda cool. -Peri and Kaze. I found it nice cause it doesn't on Peri's serial kill side. Awakening: -Vaike and Sully. I was honestly surprised with this one. I thought that Vaike would try to compete with Sully for some comical reason, but it turned out more serious than I thought and highlighted Vaike's character more. -Tharja and Lon'qu/Gregor: I don't mind Tharja as much now because of these supports. She actually helps or attempts to help with their problems.
  4. I actually find that funny that Athos got beaten back, considering that gameplay wise he actually has potential to one shot the dragon with Luna + crit bonus dance. Maybe I am being over dramatic about it, though. This I can scratch off.
  5. I should've honestly seen this coming. I know that Camila and Tharja aren't the most popular here, but I thought that maybe the reasoning would be less aggressive. Maybe I should have thought about the title more rather than put 'hate' but instead something less aggressive sounding. I understand that stopping the dragons is a big deal, but saying that she that was twice is kinda an overstatement, imo. If Eliwood could kill Ninian in one shot, what's stopping him, Hector, and Athos from killing the 3 'child' dragons that popped up? And I'm sure Braminand(don't remember how it was spelled lol) could've have pitched in as well. Also. being brought back the dead to preform one action that others could preform doesn't sit well with me. Well, when it comes to things like FE where things like supports and story are what people enjoy as well as the gameplay, hating fictional things is kinda hard not to do. I honestly do find some aspects of hating some fictional character to be kinda silly, but most fans enjoy some aspects more than gameplay, and I occasionally have those feelings as well. It's just something that can't be avoided.
  6. Do you like him or hate him? Oh. I don't really know a lot about RD, but he seemed like an important character from what I've seen.
  7. HI Serenes! I thought that it would interesting to make a topic like this. It's not to be like an underrated/overrated character thread. I really wanna get more deep with the characters that I barely/don't understand why they are loved/hated. If a topic like this is too controversial, I'll gladly lock it. Okay for me: I like, but people hate: Corrin- I've seen a loooooot of posts, essays, and statements about bad Corrin is as a character, and even till this day, after more than a year, I still can't see it, well some it to be exact. I don't see a crybaby or the true villain, even in the story. I honestly think that Corrin's responses are natural for somebody who's been isolated with no idea how things work morally. He has people constantly praising him, so it's hard for him to see that something is wrong, and he possibly can't handle negative feedback as well. Also, support Corrin is decent. He's generally supportive of whoever he talks too and tries to help out. After looking up what a Gary Stu/Mary Sue is, I can see how Corrin fits the bill, but I honestly don't think he that bad, not the best or amazing, but not awful and insulting. Miriel- I see lot of people say that Miriel is boring and uninspired, but I honestly find her to be quite charming. She's an entertaining, curious geek who causes trouble due her curiosity. Isadora- Why do people hate her exactly? She's honestly not that bad of a unit, and she has a nice design. I don't remember much about her character, though. i hate, but people like: Ninian- Honestly, I didn't even hate Ninian when I first started playing FE7. She had a cute design, and I like the shy female type. However, I started to notice something. She doesn't do anything productive until nearing the end of the game besides dancing for Eliwood with power that she borrowed from Nils, and stopping the dragons. Other than that, she does nothing but flirt with Eliwood, who looks older than her, which royally triggers me. And don't get me started on that bullshit revival. I honestly wouldn't hate her as much if was for that, but that sealed the deal for me for hating her. Ninian is honestly the worst 'Canon' pairing character in the history of FE. She feels incredibly forced in as Eliwood's love interest. It honestly would have made more sense if she was just an NPC and Nils remained as the refresh unit, but nope, gotta have that female dancer. Lilina I don't hate as much now, because although the childhood friend thing is overdone as hell, at least that meant that she had actually history with Roy, and Lilina actually does things. Caeda actually does things. Sothe does a LOT from what little I've seen of Radiant Dawn. Ninian doesn't do jack shit. I don't mean any ill will to anyone who actually likes/hates what I like/hate. I just thought that this would be in interesting thread. I also don't know if it has been done before.
  8. I actually have a list of favorite animations that I like from the FEs that I've finished/seen all of the animations: FE6- Roy's Binding Blade attack. I love the anticipation before the swing and the flame effects are awesome. Zephiel's attack animation is also cool. FE7- Hector's unpromoted lord attack. I prefer it to all of his other animations because it actually has a feeling of weight and impact to it. His Great Lord animations, including the one with the Armads, doesn't really have the impact that the unpromoted lord animation has. Lyn's Sol Katti Crit is a personal favorite of mine as well because of how savage it looks. The best looking Astra like attack in FE imo. FE8- The Rogue animation, though not as flashy and over the top as other GBA animations, is my favorite of the newly introduced FE8 animations. I like the swinging pose and the crit animation is pleasing to the eye. GBA in general- The GBA games had the best Paladin animations, imo. Specifically the Lance animation. Awakening- Chrom, Chrom, and Chrom again. I really enjoy his sword and lance animations. The way he swings his sword fits his personally perfectly: tough, not graceful, and effective. Also, as ridiculous as it is, I LOVE the Thief/Assassin/Trickster backfilp slash. Fates- Hard to say, since I think Fates' animations are my favorite with GBA being my second, but I'll have to go with the Paladin Sword animation. That double slash finisher is just so satisfying to look at. SoV- Even though SoV improved in terms of actual animation, I honestly find most of SoV's animations to be less interesting and appealing than all of it's predecessors. Saying that, however, the Baron animations are my favorite Knight animations ever, and the Priestess have the best sword animations in the game. Spells- GBA's Ice spell(can't spell it,, the wind tornado), Awakening's Thoron, Fates Bird Spirit, and SoV's Excalibur.
  9. The choreography of the Alm/Rudolf fight was all kinds of badass.
  10. You're right. I just looked again and they animate the same. The sprites are just different. And after looking at both, I can now clarify better. Sorry about being so scatterbrained with my posts before. You see, I know this guy who makes sprites and stuff in the style of GBA. He had gripes with the merc animation, one being the start and the end of the animation. I didn't really notice it, but the jumping forward and back frames were just a blurred frame of the next one. The GBA animations use a lot of motion blur, which I don't really mind since they are effective, but if I were to change something about them, it'll be to tone down body motion blur to a T. I think the brigand is a solid animation because it's smooth without a lot of bluf, and the Merc can be revamped to be something like the Brigand in terms of blur.
  11. I exaggerated a bit, but the merc relies heavily on blurred frames, more specifically the FE6 one. FE7's is better for the most part.
  12. For me it has to Fernand. Both worse written and terrible human being. Anakos at least had a unique premise.
  13. This sounds like fun, so here I go! Favorite: Sacred Stones -Make the enemies tougher. -Give Seth a nerf not in growths, but in bases. Prolly like minus 2 in each stat. -Give the Trainees better bases at start, as well as better growths. -Ephiram's and Eirika's character, but I'm no expert at story stuff so I wouldn't really know what would be best. -Instead of the tower being a place for grinding, maybe it be replace with something like an area for managing supports, weapons, and receiving messages. -Make Lyon in Eirika's route similar to Ephraim's route. He's kinda a generic crybaby gone edgy on Eirika's route. Also favorite: Fates(Mainly Conquest): -NERF FUCKING HIDDEN WEAPONS TO HAVE THE STATS DROPS LAST ONE TURN!!!(Also applies to seal skills and stat drop penalties) -AND MAKE SKILLS LIKE POISON STRIKE NOT STACK WITH EACH OTHER!!! WTF IS?! -The guy above me has the general idea about Corrin that I want to see. " Corrin's starting personality can stay, but make it so that their actions have consequences that they aren't sheltered from, and make it so that not everybody unconditionally loves them. From this, you can give them actual character growth and maturation over the course of the story. Also, make their ability to transform into a dragon be more acknowledged within the plot." -The Javelin and Hand Axe nerfs are cool, but a good buff to make them relevant will be to have them double with fighting in close combat. -The Male and Female Fighters need pants. The design in general need to be redone. Berserker design is cool though. -Make Peri more sympathetic and tone down the killing nonsense. I like Peri, but I will agree that her character needs some work to be more likable. -Anakos should be Conquest's main villain. I actually like Anakos' premise as a villain, but the fact that it doesn't get touched on at all in main story sucks. -More focus on Mikoto in general. Don't know how, though. -Make Jakob less of a dick and Felicia less of a trope. -Camila Needs some pants, too. -bring back face touching :P Least Favorite: Binding Blade(not as much now, but I haven't played it in a while.) -Roy's promotion as a design is underwhelming, because there is no design. I'd definitely make a new sprite for him so that his OPness can truly shine. -Fix unit balance. -Rewrite Lilina to be less of obvious ship bait for Roy. -Maaaaaybe more mission objectives, but I'm not sure about it. -Remake the Merc sprite and animation for the love of Naga. -Give Roy a completely different personalty cause he's okay, but not really different when you compare him to Alm, Marth, or hell even his old man. Huh. My Favorite list has more that I'd change than my least favorite list.
  14. -I'm prolly one of few people who feel this way, but I actually like Corrin as a lord and don't think his actions were as bad as people think they are. Corrin lived a sheltered life where everyone gave him the thumbs up, so it really isn't his fault that he doesn't know that what he's doing isn't the moral way of going about it. Sure, he's not great, but he's not awful either. -SoV was okay, but Berkut was kinda meh as a villain. -Speaking of which, I felt little no sympathy for him or Fernand when they died. Especially Fernand. In fact, I hate Fernand. The writing tries to make you feel sorry for him, but he's such a stuck up dick that I honestly felt nothing at all. I feel the writing went TOO far with his stuck up behavior, and he's honestly one of my most hated characters in FE. -On a positive note, SoV's support system is... Okay. I like that there isn't a stupid limit to 5 convos like GBA, but the lack of supports in general and the fact that the supports are on the damn battlefield like GBA supports just leaves them at okay for me. -Ninian is a terrible character. I'm sorry, but she's completely useless in the FE7's story besides from the ending, but revival from the dead is fucking stupid. I feel that her existence is only to be a cuddle buddy for Eliwood. Other than that she spends most of time injured or captured. -Fates's class design, aside from the Fighter from both sides, are actually pretty cool. -Children and the Avatar didn't 'ruin' the series, but actually made it more interesting and more fun. Although I would agree they should be used sparingly to keep them fresh. -The series in general isn't ruined at that claim should honestly die. All the FE games I've enjoyed as games, and just cause they were easy or had a 'bad' story doesn't make it bad. Stuff like story not being a mainstay, Canon pairing being terrible, and all lords being stu/sue characters I also agree with.
  15. Good question. For me, at least for me, the main thing with Corrin that I like is their general concept. The naive type that grows into a well respected leader with aid from his siblings would have been an amazing story, as well as being different. We instead got what we got, and I actually don't mind that, because Corrin's faults are mainly the people around them buttering them up without calling them out. Their character wouldn't come off as a mary sue if it wasn't for that, at least in my opinion. Also, I don't really find this Mary Sue character to be rage inducing. I dunno why, but I just don't. I understand why others may feel different otherwise, but considering that I don't really think that FE stories are the pinnacle of writing no matter the game, I can't feel the same. Corrin also suffers from Xander syndrome: Their supports are actually better than their in game self.
  16. There's a lot that I like about Fates. I can honestly say that it's my favorite 3DS game.
  17. I LOVE fighting games! But I can't say that I'm good at them namely because my execution is ass. I also can't play sports games.
  18. FE7: Legault. I find him to be the most interesting thief and I really love his design. I prefer him over Matthew. FE8: Syrene. A very lovely design. I also like using as a backup peg. FE13: Say'ri. Great character, great design, and a great unit. FE14 BR: Reina. Imo, the most overlooked character in all of Fates. FE14 CQ: Can't really say, but I feel that Beruka doesn't really gets talked about as much as other CQ characters.
  19. FE7: Isadora FE8: Marisa and Syrene FE13: Say'ri FE14BR: Hana FE14CQ: Beruka, Charlotte, and Peri
  20. Wow! All of them are good entries. Good luck everyone! ^^
  21. Those colors are so nice. I especially like the Shigure one.
  22. So I was going in nightmare to edit some stuff for hacking practice. When I got to the Character Module, this popped up: https://gyazo.com/4a60b41b62f83a55e8f4cb2b69580b6f Is there anyway to fix this? It's from the group of Modules from the link here.
  23. Male: Shiro. He's a bro and a nice unit. Female: Mitama. My favorite Fates character aside from Beruka. She's very entertaining and fun.
