  1. I just wanted Hector, and lo and behold, only one green orb. I hit it, and the column does the smoke-puff thing that signals a 4★ or 5★. I hold my breath. ...Oh. Damn it. Yes, Ike's here. Like, three of him. Now go shoo into the barracks with the rest of your brethren. Your +HP / -RES nature is worthless to me. EDIT: Two more pulls on green with the last of my orbs... 3★ Gunter and 3★ Cherche. Ugh.
  2. 62, currently, counting multiples. Fallen Celica (+DEF / -RES) is the only truly "complete" unit that I have -- which is to say, all the skills I want upgraded to their highest levels and her seal fully upgraded. She is a monster on the battlefield. My general battle strategy when I'm not sure how to handle something is "Throw Celica at it and hope it dies" and to be honest that's been pretty effective so far. Chrom (+HP / -SPD) is a close second; I only need to upgrade his seal and Falchion for him to be finished, though he does his job just fine as-is (his job being to keep Celica, primarily, alive and kicking, and secondarily anyone else who might need healing--he's great for training people, by the way, because he can just heal the weaklings and keep them going long enough to survive the round). LA Hector (+DEF / -SPD) was a lucky, lucky pull. My first and only draw from the Love Abounds banner included Hector and Lilina. The man is an absolute beast. Working on him right now. I've transferred all the skills I want; now it's just a case of gaining enough SP to unlock them. ...And earning enough Sacred Coins to snag Quick Riposte 3 for him. Azura (+SPD / -DEF) needs to be kept away from anything stronger than a stiff breeze thanks to her total lack of defense against anything more dangerous than string. She's been put on the backburner as far as personal skills go since she's generally just used to get Hector moving a bit faster and to use Wings of Mercy 3 to warp to anyone who's about to die to give them a Heroic Second Wind. M!Morgan (+SPD / -RES) is shaping up to be one heckuva monster in his own right. And if I have him attack first and he buffs everyone else, they turn into forces to be reckoned with. Beyond my 'Exalted Family' team of Chrom/Brave!Lucina/M!Morgan/F!Robin, I'm going to try building a team specifically around him. His tome is pretty great. (Also, I spent over 320 orbs to get him the first time -- and then he kept showing up when I pulled reds after. Go figure.)
  3. @Anacybele Ahh, congrats! After all that effort, you finally got your boy. And with good IVs, too!
  4. @Anacybele If you want Chrom's IVs, you can find them on... uh. They datamine, so I don't know if I'm allowed to link them here? Just search "exalted chrom iv" on Google and it should be the first result or close to it.
  5. Surely there will be M!Morgan or E!Chrom in here. Surely. ...Well, okay, I guess I'll take that. @Anacybele I'm so sorry. If it's any consolation, I hit six E!Chroms and, like, 320+ orbs before I found M!Morgan.
  6. Hmm. I don't at the moment. I just finished raising Micaiah to Lv 40, though I'm not overly happy with her +DEF / -SPD nature. I could also train Deirdre, but she's +DEF / -ATK. I do have an +ATK / -RES Sanaki, but I also have way too many red units at the moment. I could train Arvis, but same problem. I suppose F!Morgan will have to stick around a little longer until I have a viable candidate.
  7. I have a F!Morgan with terrible IVs. I don't plan to use her, but I love Mirror Stance, which I'd like to pass along to someone. I was thinking the Black Knight, swapping out Steady Stance 3 for it. I'm hoping the extra 4 points would give him a bit more survivability against tomes/breath/staves, because right now he just kind of keels over and it makes me sad. If not him, any other suggestions?
  8. @Cute Chao "Don't worry. I took a lesson on mounted combat a few years ago." "If you want to learn how to make friends with a horse, just ask Frederick. His best friend is a horse!" ~SPECIAL SKILL ACTIVATE~ "I'm being helpful!" "Charging on ahead!" "I can't stop this thing!" "Horse and man as one!"
  9. Okay, I guess this is the place to say it, since it's a general discussion thread and all. I just finished listening to all of E!Chrom's lines, refreshing the home screen to get all his quotes, got him to Lv 40 to see his 'confession'. And, well... EXALTED CHROM IS A GIANT DORK AND I LOVE IT Sorry. Sorry, I needed to get that out.
  10. Here I am, with a stupid question about merging heroes. I have multiple Exalted Chroms. The one I'm keeping is not yet at Lv 40, but I'm impatient. If I merge the extras with him now, will he retain the stat boost they give him, or will his stats just level out as per usual once he hits Lv 40? I'm 99% sure he keeps the stat boosts, but I don't want to get to Lv 40 and see that his stats ended up being 41/53/28/37/20 despite the fact that I fed him the blood of his people. Thanks!
  11. Fallen Celica (+DEF / -RES): She's currently my biggest investment solely because she's thus far the only project I've completed. She's my Summoner S-Support and is currently S-Supporting with Azura, although I plan to change that to Chrom once he's complete on account of him being her personal ambulance. → Beloved Zofia / Reciprocal Aid / Draconic Aura → Fury 3 / Desperation 3 / Threaten Spd 3 / Attack +3 Chrom (+HP / -SPD): In progress. I sacrificed a 4★ and a 3★ Donnel (Reciprocal Aid and HP+5), a 4★ Fae (Renewal 3), and a 4★ Klein (Deathblow 3) to prepare him for the glorious task of being Fallen Celica's personal medic. He's got all the skills, so I just need to grind up enough SP to learn them all and get him to Level 40, and then refine Falchion. I have a spare 5★ Chrom that I'm going to merge into him as well. Ideally, I also plan to upgrade my two 4★ Chroms to 5★ and merge them as well, but that will have to wait for a bit. → Falchion (Refined) / Reciprocal Aid / Sol → Deathblow 3 / Renewal 3 / Spur Def 3 / HP +5 Brave Ike (+SPD / -RES): I promoted Subaki to 5★ for the sole purpose of promptly sacrificing him for Quick Riposte 3. I did not feel bad at all because his voice grates on me. Also sacrificed 3★ Barst for Reposition. All other skills are from Ike's base kit, so once the grinding is done he'll be ready to go. → Urvan / Reposition / Aether → Steady Breath / Quick Riposte 3 / Threaten Def 3 / Close Def 3 Azura (+SPD / -DEF): Sacrificed 4★ Cain, Odin, and Catria to her for Wings of Mercy 3, Moonbow, and Armored Blow 3. Again, just need to get on the grind train and she'll be done. → Sapphire Lance+ / Sing / Moonbow → Armored Blow 3 / Wings of Mercy 3 / Fortify Res 3 / Hone Atk 3 Those four will make up my first complete, planned team. I have some others at max level, sure, but none meant to work together. Other than that, I have mostly "fun" teams planned. Fallen Angels: Consisting of Celica: Imprisoned Soul, Robin: Fell Incarnation, Hardin: Dark Emperor, and Takumi: Empty Vessel. Celica is complete and I already have Takumi up to 5★ Lv.40 from 3★ (I power-levelled him 120 levels in just a few hours thanks to the Bows: Special Training maps.) Haven't even started on Robin or Hardin yet. Exalted Family: Chrom (either original or Exalted), Brave Lucina, F!Robin, and M!Morgan. No real reason for this other than to have fun with it. Double Date: F!Corrin, Azura, F!Robin, and Chrom. In other words, my two avatars and their spouses. And again, just for fun. I might try to make a serious team at some point, but in all honesty I'm just here to have a good time.
  12. @ShadowAlchemist Congrats! I recently pulled him as well, looking forward to using him.
  13. It doesn't require combat to activate, so I'd put it on a support unit and let the offensive units make use of its effects. A penalty of 7 is pretty hefty and it can help your offensive units leave more than just a dent in a tank should they end up struggling with one. Either way, I just wanted to clarify what the skill actually does.
  14. That's not what Chill Def does. It simply finds the enemy with the highest Def stat and lowers it by a value of 7. The flavour text: "At start of turn, inflicts Def-7 on foe on the enemy team with the highest DEF through its next action." So it's pretty useful, I'd say. If you snag another Chrom, you might want to consider passing on that skill.
  15. If you do decide to try for him, then godspeed, sir. I salute your bravery in this epic hunt. Six Chroms.
  16. I'm definitely keeping his tome! I like to keep unique weapons, even when it's not technically the best option. I like the variety. I think that Grima's Truth will work really well, though. I love how it's basically a magic dagger, like you said. Built in debuffs and buffs are A-okay with me. I'm keeping Spur Def/Res 2 as well.
  17. @mampfoid Thanks so much! I'm going to turn him into mama's little monster, hopefully, even though I'll probably have to sacrifice Sacred Memories Eirika to do it (Swift Sparrow 2).
  18. I wish you all the best in finding your precious child, my friend. I will pray to the RNG gods on your behalf, because it took me forever to find mine.
  19. After six Chroms, a Celica, and an accidentally pulled but certainly not regrettable Ninian... MY BABY BOY. I have waited so long. And he's +SPD / -RES, so that's a huge bonus, although with all the orbs it took to get him I don't think I would have cared if he'd been +RES / -SPD. Anyway, now I can finally create my Branded Family team! ... (No, seriously. Six Chroms.)
  20. UPDATE: I collected the story orbs and figured, hey, I'm probably not going to get a full selection of red, so I might as well use them despite having less than twenty orbs. Sure enough, only two red orbs popped up. I prayed fervently to Anna for M!Morgan. And lo and behold, my first pull was a 5★ unit!! ... I NOW HAVE FIVE. CHROMS. ALL I WANT IS M!MORGAN.
  21. I was sniping for M!Morgan, though I figured that snagging Chrom wouldn't be so bad in my search for M!Morgan. I had 320 orbs saved up. Plenty. PLENTY. (I'm optimistic.) Well. Amid many 3★ and 4★ pulls, here are my 5★ adventures: 1. M!Corrin. Okay, fine. 2. Saber. That's ... not who I wanted, but pity breaking happens, I'll deal. 3. Oh, hey Chrom! Cool! Great to see you, but where's your son? 4. Eirika, I wasn't looking for you. 5. Chrom?! Again? Dude, I'm not... you know what, fine, just don't let it happen again. 6. YOU LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN? 7. CHROM. CHROM. WHERE. IS. YOUR. SON???? It got to the point that I actually double-checked to make sure that I was sniping for the correct colour. I'm not ungrateful for Chrom x4. I'm not. But that's not who I was looking for. I don't care about the upcoming Thracia characters so I didn't feel too bad about dumping a lot of orbs in the beginning. But. Damn it, Morgan.
  22. Surprised no one has mentioned Chrom's inspiringly hopeful battle cry of "I'm being helpful!"
  23. Forgot to take a screenshot of it, but I pulled Lilina and Hector from Love Abounds one after another, then decided to quit due to being out of orbs while I was ahead. Lilina's IVs are +DEF/-SPD, which is, you know, what it is... but Hector is also +DEF/-SPD so that's wonderful. From Fallen Heroes, I wanted Fallen Celica so badly and pulled her (+DEF/-RES) pretty early on. Got lucky a bit later and pulled Hardin (unknown IVs, was an idiot and levelled him a bit before checking) and then Grima twice (Neutral, then +SPD/-RES). From Heroes with Falchion, I pulled a +HP/-SPD Chrom, which is great because I'm running him as a healer to support Fallen Celica. And I finally pulled Alm, with neutral IVs. Can't remember which banner I got him from, but I also pulled a Brave Ike with +SPD/-RES. I've been pretty lucky with IVs on the whole, though it has taken a lot of orbs to get the characters I wanted in the first place.
