  1. @colossus86 Gonna go item by item here:

Palla: I like the base effect, Owl-effect is pretty okay, and Flier Pulse on the skill-refine is pretty cool too (I thought it was too good at first, but that's just 'cause I missed the "start of turn 1" part and thought it was every turn, which would've been crazy).

Seth: I quite like the idea. A reskin of Camilla's Axe for Seth is a pretty neat call, giving him an effective 49/52/55 ATK and 32/35/38 SPD and giving not-quite-Goad-Cavalry-but-for-Infantry-too when he's near either Eirika/Ephraim. It's cool.

Ogma: Swordbreaker sword is a cool idea (though I think you could get away with just Swordbreaker Forever instead of limiting it to Swordbreaker 3, since we already have Assassin's Bow with Daggerbreaker Forever so it's not completely without precedent), though Sturdy Stance mildly bugs me since it's not much better than just having a DEF refinement (same DEF boost, but always instead of just Enemy Phase). Still, it's alright, and I like it overall.

And since this thread is back, here's a few that're bouncing around in my head:

    Oliver - Admirer of Beauty

Beautiful Tome | 14 MT | When foe initiates combat and uses Bow, Dagger, Magic or Staff, grants DEF/RES +6 during combat.
    Skill-Refine: When unit's RES > foe's RES + 5, foe cannot perform a follow-up attack.

Oliver gets the beautiful Blarserpent tome (when will we get the others? Who knows?) with extra MT, and a RES-based Great Flame to live longer. If nothing else, it makes Oliver a better anti-ranged tank since he can run Distant DEF 9 and a RES Wave to have 41 DEF & 52-58 RES.

    Marisa - Crimson Flash

Shamshir | 16 MT | Grants +10 damage when Special activates.
Skill-Refine: At the start of each turn, inflicts DEF -7 on the foe with the highest DEF through their next action.

Marisa gets a fairly simple weapon, a 16-MT Wo Dao with Chill DEF 3 on her weapon as well, giving her more damage against high-DEF foes who she might otherwise struggle against.

    Berkut - Prideful Prince

    Kreimhild | 16 MT | Grants DEF/RES +5 when foe initiates combat.
Skill-Refine: When foe initiates combat and uses Bow, Dagger, Magic or Staff, damage from first attack is reduced by 30%.

Essentially makes Berkut a better tank by giving him Bracing Stance 2.5 (as opposed to the Warding Stance 3.5 on Berkut's Lance+, so he's a bit weaker against mages/staves/dragons but gets better at tanking physical attackers) by default, and letting him get Deflect First Strike Missile/Magic 1 on his weapon to help tank against ranged foes (so he's still not as good at tanking dragons, but he should do a bit better against ranged foes).

    Hinata - Wild Samurai

Hinata's Katana | 16 MT | Grants ATK +6 when foe initiates combat.
Skill-Refine: When foe initiates combat and uses Sword, Lance, Axe or Dragonstone, grants DEF/RES +7 during combat.

Hinata gets a sword that plays to his strengths, giving him Fierce Stance 3 on his sword by default and Close DEF 3.5 on the skill-refine. Specializes Hinata pretty heavily into Enemy Phase, but with his SPD he isn't gonna be doing much on Player Phase anyway (and he gets significantly better on EP with this weapon, getting up to 47/50/53 HP | 51/54/57 ATK | 21/24/28 SPD | 40/43/46 DEF | 22/25/28 RES before any other skills, so he could equip Ignis/Warding Breath/Quick Riposte 3/X RES Wave/Close DEF 3 Seal to get up to 46/49/52 DEF & 32/35/38-38/41/44 RES and tank general melee foes reasonably well).

Robin - High Deliver & Robin - Mystery Tactician

Robin's Primer | 14 MT | Effective vs. Cavalry. Grants Weapon Triangle Advantage vs. Colorless units, and inflicts Weapon Triangle Disadvantage against Colorless units.
Skill-Refine: Grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 during combat when adjacent to at least one ally.

The Robins get to share a book, and quite a book it is. It combines the effects of both Robins' default tomes (going off the logic that Odin got a better Blarblade and Katarina got a better Raudhrowl, I figure M!Robin would get a better Blarraven, but F!Robin should get a better Gronnwolf since that's what she comes with, so the two can be combined into a single tome fairly well since Nephenee's Dauntless Lance shows that base prfs can have effective damage and another effect), combining Gronnwolf's Cavalry-killing and Blarraven's WTA-vs-Colorless, and can also gain Omni Bond 2 like Chrom & The Lucinas for extra stats (during combat, F!Robin can reach 40 HP | 47 ATK | 33 SPD | 33 DEF | 26 RES, and M!Robin can reach 36/40/43 HP | 43/47/50 ATK | 29/33/36 SPD | 29/33/36 DEF | 23/26/29 RES depending on boons/banes, all before applying other skills). It's simple, maybe a bit too all-over-the-place, but I think it would be fairly effective to make Robin a pretty good mage (you could slap Triangle Adept and a Breaker on Robin and have your Robins murder Red/Colorless (M) or Blue/Colorless (F) cavalry, or you could go Close Counter/Quick Riposte 3/Close or Distant DEF 3 Seal and become a tank mage who benefits fairly well from being next to an ally, and also benefits from WTA over Colorless foes to take a little less damage and deal a little more damage against them (without having to worry about Cancel Affinity like the Triangle Adept set does) and being able to do effective damage against horses).

    Azama - Carefree Priest

Hexing Rod | 14 MT | After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts 10 damage on target and foes within 2 spaces and inflicts a status that prevents restoring HP on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions.
Skill-Refine: When foe initiates combat and unit cannot counterattack, inflicts damage to foe after combat equal to [(damage taken by Azama / 2) + 10].

Azama gets probably the best Prf staff, the Hexing Rod, which is a Pain+ that also inflicts a status effect which prevents those afflicted from recovering HP (so the post-combat damage, as well as any damage Azama himself managed to do, is gonna stick a little longer than it otherwise might). He also gets a rather odd skill-refine, which allows Azama to inflict passive damage to foes who prevent him from counterattacking them (either through hitting him in melee range, using Watersweep, or using a Firesweep weapon). If nothing else, this weapon makes Azama the great master of passive damage, and maybe occasionally lets him kill someone with really low RES once he's removed most of their HP through passive damage since he has a not-as-pitiful-as-before 32/35/38 ATK with this weapon equipped.

These are basically my hopes for next month, that the Heroic Feats units are gonna get prf weapons in the 3.0 update which I'm thinking might come next month, and also the Robins and Azama get refinements so Hinata isn't on the New Power banner by himself.

Goetia or sleep, to be honest.

What about Aversa's Night? It literally has her name in it, and given that it was a Nosferatu-type tome in Awakening it could be something like “Grants DEF +3. When Special activates, recover HP equal to 30% of damage dealt,” which if nothing else would be unique.

Validar can have Goetia if he ever gets into Heroes. That or Raudhrserpent+, that would be neat too.

  3. Well, Aversa was someone I expected to see on the semi-inevitable Fartherfetched Heroes banner, though if she lost her spot on the banner to Loki, then I can't really complain about that. Especially since we're getting 3 copies of her for free (hopefully Flyboy Takumi And His Backup Dancers can handle Infernal).

Now I'm just gonna hope that she has Aversa's Night as her weapon (hopefully with built-in Daylight on Special activations, since AN was a Nosferatu-type weapon) and Shadowgift as a unique skill of some kind (maybe a B Skill that gives her Galeforce when her Special activates? Shadowgift allowed the use of Dark magic in classes other than Dark Mage/Sorcerer, so having it give a skill fliers can't normally have in Heroes would maybe kinda replicate that?).

  4. We have the banner! Video in the spoiler:

    Spoiler

    Summary (also in spoiler):

    Spoiler

    FARFETCHED HEROES 2: FARTHERFETCHED

Loki, Kliff and Owain on the banner, with Aversa as Grand Hero Battle!

Loki's got Colorless Infantry Duel, Earthwater Balm+ and Odd ATK Wave 3, Kliff brings a better version of Fortress DEF and Fortress RES in one skill and his Sagittae looks like some kind of weird boost-everything-if-your-foe-could-activate-Heavy-Blade-1-on-you kind of deal, and Owain has a Special that looks like it'd be pretty neat if you threw him a Wo Dao and kept his other skills (+45 damage on activation), though Missiletainn itself looks pretty alright too with its 2-charge-on-enemy-attacks thing. And Aversa's our Grand Hero Battle (presumably the one starting this week), marking the first free mage flier. Can't wait for the datamine on this one!

  5. @DefyingFates Here's a bunch of observations on the subject, though it's hardly a comprehensive list:

On Cherche: I thought the axe in her art was Helswath from Awakening, though now that she's gotten a refinery buff and didn't get Helswath I'm thinking that it's gonna go to Lex if he ever gets into Heroes.

For something I found kinda noticeable, there's Saber, who looks like he's got the Audhulma in his art for some reason (instead of the Slaying Edge he actually comes with), and Joshua, who doesn't look like he's using Audhulma in his art (instead he's using what looks like a Slaying Edge, or maybe a Shamshir?). I wouldn't call it especially notable (Joshua at least has Slaying Edge as his pre-Audhulma weapon so I can kinda see him having that in his art, though generally units with prfs have weapons that look like their prfs in their art so that is a bit odd, but I have no explanation for Saber), except that they look like they borrowed each other's weapons for a bit.

Another thing is that nobody who's using a Gem weapon (Ruby Sword/Sapphire Lance/Emerald Axe) is actually using a Gem weapon in their art. Most of them look like they're either possibly using Silver weapons, future prf weapons (Titania, who literally got a weapon that looks like the one she actually uses in her art, and Azura, who hasn't gotten a prf yet but she's got a Blessed Lance from Fates in her art and I'm fairly certain she's gonna get a Blessed Lance via refinery update in the future, unless they Raven her and give her a completely different weapon altogether for some reason), there's Arthur who's using a Steel Axe in his art, Narcian appears to have a poleaxe in his art, and finally there's Hinata, who's using a regular katana that might be a Killing Edge and makes me kinda suspect that he was going to have Killing Edge in his base kit at one point before getting the Ruby Sword instead... though Hana also has a katana in her art and she's got an Armorslayer, so that might be nothing.

Same thing goes with units using Brave weapons, for some reason. Barst in particular looks like he's got some kind of hatchet instead of a Brave weapon (I mean, he is The Hatchet, so it makes sense, but still), while Raven... looks like he's not using a Brave Axe or Basilikos, more like he's got a Poleaxe, which I find weird (Camilla at least got a prf that looks kinda like the one in her art). Gordin at least looks like he might be using a Brave Bow, but Klein's art bow looks more like a bigger Silver Bow (which I guess fits with him being a Silver Nobleman, but it doesn't really reflect the weapon he actually comes with). Also, Donnel is using an Iron Lance.
Ogma's weapon at least resembles a Brave Sword though.

Also, Roderick and Soleil look more like they're using Silver weapons in their art instead of their Firesweep weapons, and Faye is using what I think is an Iron Bow instead of Firesweep Bow.

Among units with prf weapons, Lyn looks like she's using a shorter, not-yellow katana (Mani Katti?), Seigbert looks like he's using a redder Silver Sword with a yellow hilt instead of the Dark Greatsword, I'm not sure what Tana's supposed to be using but it isn't Vidofnir, Kinshi Hinoka's art bow is less detailed than the Warrior Princess (doesn't have the wings), and again, Raven has a weapon in his art that doesn't look like either of the weapons he now comes with, and I'm certain there are others.

So, to sum up: A decent number of units without prf weapons don't look like they're using the weapon they come with in their art, and even when units do get prfs that's not a guarantee that their art will match up with the weapon (see: Raven, and also Felicia who uses a dagger in her art but now has a prf that's a plate).

One final point: Kaze doesn't look like he has a weapon at all in his art. Which I just find weird. Am I supposed to believe that he's somehow throwing those blades on his forearms at enemies?

  6. Yeah, I'm quite happy with the new calendar too. Plenty of Orbs, only two banners that I would maybe pull beyond the freebie on (those being the New Heroes, but only if it's Binding Blade or beast units, and Legendary Hero, but only if it has Flying Nino), and a new GHB which will hopefully either be a good unit or have good fodder.

Haven't been able to just stockpile Orbs in a while. It'll be nice to get a decent amount for the next time I want to spend them... even if that's as early as 12 days from now, between the TT, the BHB and the next Tap Battle I'm sure I'll have a decent Orb pile by then.

  7. I got Myrrh on my second circle! So happy! +RES/-HP is perfectly okay for me, especially since now her RES is high enough to consider running a Ploy Sacred Seal, though honestly I’m mostly just glad her ATK and DEF are untouched.

I also got a 5-Star M!Morgan, which I completely forgot could happen since I only ever see him at 4-Star... like I did in the other red orb of that session. I’ll check stats on him later, need to train up Myrrh now.

Probably gonna dive back into this Banner when my Orbs are replenished (thank you, upcoming Tempest Trial+), since I want Mia, and getting Niles or another Myrrh would be alright by me as well.

    That's what I figured, thanks!

Edit: Just realised I still have some M!Kanas; is Brazen Def/ Res useful? How about Brazen Atk/ Def? Thanks again!

I would say that Brazens probably aren’t as useful as Distant Counter or maybe Sturdy Blow/Stance (the DEF boost, along with making Myrrh slightly sturdier, also helps her double more), but they’re still good choices for Myrrh as long as you give her one that boosts DEF so she can double more with her personal breath that checks DEF to double. IMO DEF/RES would be better for you if you want her to be an Enemy Phase mixed tank, while ATK/DEF would be better if you just want Myrrh to do as much damage as possible.

I’ve been wondering about this ever since Awakening. Where do dragons’ clothes go when they’re being dragons?

Indeed she is. A team of big brother Ephraim protecting Myrrh would be pretty good now with there being a non-blue and non-green option with spooky Myrrh. Then again, with how strong she is, is it really Ephraim protecting Myrrh or Myrrh protecting Ephraim? Now, if only we could reunite her with her adopted dad.

Ephraim protects Myrrh from Legendary Tiki, Falchions, Nagas and Cloud Maiougis.

Myrrh protects Ephraim from everything else.

And yeah, Morva GHB is unlikely but not unwelcome, at least for me.

  9. Hey all, update is out, and the refines are here too. Here they are:

    Spoiler

    Tana - Winged Princess
Vidofnir | MT 16 | When foe initiates combat and uses Sword, Lance, Axe or Dragonstone, grants DEF/RES +7 during combat.
Skill-Refine: If unit is within 2 spaces of an infantry or armored ally, grants ATK/SPD +4 during combat.

    Innes - Regal Strategician
Nidhogg | MT 14 | Effective against flying foes. During combat, boosts unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res by number of adjacent allies x 2.
Skill-Refine: Magic and dragon foes cannot counterattack.

    Lon'qu - Solitary Blade
Solitary Blade | MT 16 | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1).
    Skill-Refine: Grants ATK/SPD +5. Inflicts DEF/RES -5.

To sum up, Tana got Close DEF 3.5 with optional ATK/SPD Infantry/Armor Bond, Innes kept his base effect, stole Deathly Dagger's skill-refine, decided it wasn't good enough and added dragonsweep to the magesweep effect, and Lon'qu got Basilikos: Sword Edition.

In my personal opinion, Innes got the most useful refinement, since he can now attack dragons without fear (and this is gonna make him my primary answer to Halloween Myrrh for the next paralogue as soon as I figure out how to build him) on top of being able to tank mages pretty well, Tana got a pretty great refinement (with Close DEF 9.5 and three stacks of Ward Fliers, neutral Tana can reach 56 DEF and 56 RES on Enemy Phase, which should hopefully make her a pretty good mixed anti-melee tank and make her Bonfire/Iceberg/Ignis/Glacies pretty strong) and a skill-refine that's really only useful on mixed teams (I would say go SPD-refine for Flier Emblem!Tana so she gets doubled less, though I dunno much about Flier teams so maybe that's not the best idea), and Lon'qu's refinement wasn't ATK/SPD Solo like I'd hoped, but it still seems pretty good, and I fully expect to see at least one Lon'qu with Life And Death 6 in the future.

Sometimes I feel I'm the only person that likes Lani Minella as Mia in FEH. Aside of that "Wah!" clip in the trailer, I really think the voice fits.

You're not. I like Lani Minella as Mia too. The Wah makes me think she should've dressed up as Waluigi (and now I want Wario!Anna for some reason), but it's not bad.

Now that we have a flying healer too, I feel like we've got everything in the game. Book 3 got work to do to bring unique to the table.

    Beast units. Calling it now.

    Also Cavalry Dragons.

Myrrh is a red armored dragon.

...I completely missed that while being far too happy about Myrrh alt. Thank you for pointing that out.

With that in mind, pulling order for me is now Red > Colorless >>> Blue = Green, because Myrrh is the one that I want (ooh ooh ooh), Mia would also be neat (plus Veronica could pity-break me... though it'd probably be Mist again, that hasn't happened in a while), and Niles and Kagero both hold roughly the same interest for me.

Also, that Mia clip is just... WAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  12. So, thoughts after having watched the trailer:

Mia: Not who I expected to be our first Flying Staff, but she looks neat. Glad to see she's continuing the trend of smaller fonts for weapons after Hoarfrost Knife, and that staff looks pretty neato too. I want.

Kagero: ...How is this an Armored unit? I mean, she looks like she'll be good, and we have our first Armored Dagger unit at long last, but still, she looks like she raided Felicia's closet.

Niles: Looks more plausibly Armored than Kagero, so there's that. And he's a Bow unit, so he can probably be reasonably great with Bold Fighter/Brave Bow like Jakob. Also, ATK/SPD Link. Was thinking we might see that. Not sure why he's got Smite of all things, but eh. He'd be alright to get, but I'm not aiming for him.

    Myrrh: YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES
    SO HAPPY
Her weapon is basically Great Flame in reverse, she has Vengeful Fighter (which I would probably replace with Special Fighter, since Myrrh comes with a way to get a follow-up without worrying about SPD), she comes with Armor March which is neat, she has DEF/RES 2 for some reason, and she just looks adorable.
    desire.

Gonna be pulling Blue (Myrrh is the gold prize because of course she is, but Niles wouldn't be a bad consolation prize) > Colorless (I wouldn't mind Fly Healer Mia) > Green (Kagero would be nice, that's a neat dagger) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Red (no focus unit, pitybreaker would probably be someone I already have).

Also, there's gonna be a TT with Halloween Dorcas and a bunch of Orbs as a reward. So there's that to look forward to.

I'm not so much upset about the character selection as I am with it clearly being pandering toward male Corrin. He can and would bang all of these people.

...Even Myrrh? Or do you just mean the Fates characters?

Wouldn't that be true regardless of who was on the banner tho? Or which gender Corrin you use?

  13. 1 hour ago, Lewyn said:

Hey child characters are fine.  Young Tikis, Fae, Myrrh.  Nowi is disgusting pedo bait, both her regular version in that hot pants slave outfit and her witch outfit which shows as much skin as a string bikini.  It is pretty obvious when they sexualize children for that otaku minority that gets their rocks off to it, as compared to normal child characters.  The latter is fine, the former belongs in hentai doujins or whatever not in a respected franchise.

I think it is just a big waste.  Cause there are a million halloween options, and we only get this banner once a year.  We could have mummies, fairy princesses, pumkin fiends, zombies, skeletons, banshees, and endless other creatures.

You just reminded me of the alt I wanna see most:
Nowi With A Spare Summoner Robe Loaned To Her So She Could Put Some Damn Clothes On But The Robe Is Too Big So It Mostly Just Drags On The Floor.

Also, Faerie Queen Fae with butterfly wings as a flying staff user. I want this too.

As for the silhouette itself... I saw a post on Reddit saying Oboro was the one on the right side, which I agree with, and I have no idea what the left side could be (looks like either special-proc or damaged art to me... I have no idea outside of that, maybe Sonya?). I'm mostly hoping for ATK/SPD Link to show up on one of the seasonals, just because we don't have it outside of Odin's Grimoire just yet, so if we get that, I'll be happy no matter what happens.

Also kinda hoping we see Risen King Chrom, since he's kind of a zombie (I think. Does anyone know what Risen are, exactly?) and thus would probably work on a Halloween banner, but I'm not betting on it.

  14. Tried to get Tiki to come home one more time before I give up and wait for next year.

Got +HP/-DEF Spring Sharena instead. And I’m very okay with this.

Gonna save up for the next Legendary Banner now, since I see nothing on the horizon that interests me unless we get a Binding Blade banner after Muspell banner’s done.

I'm hoping Lon'qu's weapon will be different enough from Wo Dao that I don't feel too bad sacrificing an Athena for him

Given the name, I wouldn't be surprised if it were just a 16-MT Slaying Edge with ATK/SPD Solo 3 or something like that. Just going off of the name there, but still. Dunno if that's better than Wo Dao tho, since I don't use Lon'qu at all.

And yeah, I was kinda thinking we might see 3.0, but I guess that'll be November/December.

On the plus side, I have Tana and Innes, so I'm looking forward to what they'll be getting.

  16. 6 hours ago, Kaden said:

Stupid thought I had in the dead of night: if Loki wins CYL3, then she should be a sword infantry and she should have a poke quote that makes fun of and trolls you about how there are so many swords in Fire Emblem: "Why a sword? Well, I thought you liked swords. After all, so many of your precious Heroes wield them."

...And now I want this to be a thing, just for the troll. And for her PRF sword to have something like “Grants Special Cooldown -1. At the start of each turn, grants a bonus to ATK/SPD equal to [number of Sword allies x2] for 1 turn. (Maximum bonus +6)” because that might actually be a half-decent joke weapon.

Damnit, now I have to split my votes between Velouria and Loki for CYL3 if it happens.

  17. Got a 5-Star off Tiki’s Banner.

+HP/-SPD Bridal Tharja is quite alright, since her weapon makes her SPD bane not matter and Muspell Fireposy and ATK/SPD Bond mean she’ll still have blazing-fast SPD, and she’ll also have good HP for when I need her to take a hit too. This is quite alright with me.

  18. @colossus86 I quite like your Waterwheel. It'd be pretty neat on Oboro, letting her run Triple Close DEF for massive DEF/RES that melee foes may not overcome (plus she'd get a rather strong EP Bonfire/Ignis) or just run Distant Counter & Distant + Close DEF, and the built-in Guard would be neat too. I'd be happy if she got that. Probably wouldn't use her myself, I already have Fjorm and she's usually all that I require from Lances, but I'd give Oboro more consideration if she had a weapon like that one.
That upgrade for Leif is rather neat too.

    ...

So, it's about the end of the month, so here are some guesses/hopes for October's refinements, as well as a couple that I just want to see at some point:

Robin - High Deliverer & Robin - Mystery Tactician

    Robin's Primer | MT 14 | Grants Weapon-Triangle Advantage vs. Colorless foes.
Skill-Refine: During combat, grants bonus ATK/SPD/DEF/RES equal to number of adjacent allies x2.

The Robins could really use a boost to become less not-great, so here they get a 14-MT Raven tome for maximum triangle advantage, which can also have an Owl-tome effect added to it to boost the Robins' stats. It's nothing too amazing, mostly it's just a tome the Robins probably like (Owl, for the +2~6 to all stats) with the one M!Robin already comes with (Raven, and with it WTA over two colors instead of just one like most Owl-users), but it could make the Robins decent.

    Julia - Naga's Blood

Naga [Refine] | MT 14 | Effective vs. Dragons. When foe's range = 1, damage taken is calculated using higher of unit's DEF or RES.
Skill-Refine: When initiating combat against foe using Dragonstone with HP > 50%, this unit performs a guaranteed follow-up attack.

Julia's on a Voting Gauntlet now, and I'm choosing to hope that this means Naga will get a refinement soon. As such, this possible future Naga drops Bracing Stance 1 in favor of forcing 1-range foes to target her RES (unless you somehow get her DEF above her RES, in which case non-Dragons will target her DEF; Dragons' adaptive-damage effect would cancel out Naga's new effect, but this should work out in Julia's favor since Dragons naturally target her RES), making her more durable against melee foes, who must now target Julia's higher RES, and especially Dragons, who can no longer target Julia's lower DEF for massive damage. The skill-refine is basically Dragonbreaker 3, allowing Julia to kill more dragons by near-guaranteeing her a second shot at them if her first proves to not quite be enough. If nothing else, such a refinement should help Julia take on Dragons.

    Bartre - Fearless Warrior

Devil Axe | MT 16 | Grants ATK/DEF +5 during combat. Inflicts 5 damage after combat.
Skill-Refine: When HP > 50% and initiating combat against a foe that can counter, this unit performs a guaranteed follow-up attack.

Being a Fearless Warrior, Bartre should have no problem with the idea of using a weapon that kills its wielders, so he's getting the Devil Axe, which gives a Ragnarok-style ATK/DEF boost that makes Bartre stronger (a +ATK Bartre reaches 60 base ATK with this weapon) and physically sturdier (that same +ATK Bartre hits 38 base DEF, and a +DEF Bartre would reach 41) in exchange for sapping his HP after every combat. The Skill-Refine gives Bartre Forseti-style Brash Assault, which combines nicely with the Brash Assault he has in his base kit (or the Sacred Seal, if you wanna run a different B Skill) to give him Brash Assault Always and allow him to double against foes that can counterattack him regardless of his HP, which is good because base-kit Bartre also comes with Fury, so that HP would be ticking away continuously after any and every combat, even ones where he wasn't able to do anything. This weapon may mandate running with a healer to keep Bartre's weapon and maybe Fury from bringing his HP too far down, or some other way of ensuring that Bartre doesn't take a hit once his HP gets too low to handle doing so, but with it Bartre could be a very strong axeman.

Niles - Cruel To Be Kind

    Niles's Bow | MT 14 | Grants Special Cooldown -1.
Skill-Refine: After combat, if unit attacked, reduces movement to 1 space for target and foes adjacent to target through their next actions.

Since he's on a Voting Gauntlet banner and could probably use a prf, Niles pulls out his own personal Slaying Bow, essentially just giving him a better version of what he already has for no Refining Stones. The Skill-Refine references Niles's personal skill Capture from Fates, allowing him to restrain his foes' movement Gravity+-style. If nothing else, it's a stronger Slaying Bow+, and Niles could probably use the extra ATK.

Not hoping for all of these this month (I'm guessing Robins/Julia/Niles, personally, since the Robins and Niles don't have prfs and IMO Julia's default prf could use a buff), but I'm hoping for at least the Robins and Julia.

  20. ...I didn't realize that Tiki was an Armor until I saw Bold Fighter in her skillset. She doesn't look like an Armor to me.

Still, I want this Tiki, and I really hope I get Blue Orbs on the free session so they can disappoint me maybe have her... but I'll accept it if I don't get her. After all, I'm sure she'll be back in 2019 when I'll hopefully have Orbs.

As for everyone else on the banner... It's about what I expected, and I'm so happy Nino isn't here so she can be on one of these when I actually have Orbs. Not gonna bother with anything outside of Blue/Green unless I have to. Colorless doesn't interest me, neither does Red, Green I might try on if I can't get Blues because there's a possibility of Steady Breath fodder and/or Sharena, but Blue's the one that I want many of because that Tiki is adorable and also Spring Catria and/or Micaiah would be alright. So, Blue > Green >>>>>>>>>>>>> Red >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Colorless for me.

On an unrelated note, do we know when F!Grima's gonna be skipping one of these? I wanna say I remember reading October's Legendary banner won't have her, but I could've been mistaken.

It is the perfect time for Bruno, I don't know if they'll pull the trigger though.

I wouldn't mind this, though I've got a feeling that he's gonna be back in the villain saddle for Book III, so they might wanna hold him back for a while longer.

Seliph is known as wielding Tyrfing, sword main weapon.  However on promotion can wield lances as well so blue can work.  Would be similar with how Lyn can wield bows on promotion so they gave her bow for her legendary form.  Then we have Lucina, whose canon promoted class doesn't wield lances at all, though she can access bows through reclassing.  So really anything can happen.

Actually, Great Lords can wield Lances in Awakening (unless she has a different canon promotion?), so Brave Lucina is loosely canon (though Geirskogul isn't, as far as I know).

I see your point though. Personally I'd rather Lance Seliph as a seasonal or a regular alt, if only so we could get a Tyrfing with RES +20, which I think we could maybe get on a Legendary Seliph.

Flying Nino is on a banner now, with much better odds than if she appears on legendary banner.

I know, but I wanna wait until she's on a Legendary banner so I can at least get a good pitybreaker if I fail to get her (whereas if I tried now, I'd just drown in Bartres and then get pitybroken by a Sonya or something).

Plus I don't have Orbs right now, so I want her to show up later so I can stockpile and wait for her.

If it's Azura. imma in trouble.

...I hadn't even considered this possibility, but now I kinda want. Though only if she doesn't get Blessed Lance, since I want that to be a prf for regular Azura.

Should be around tonight. For EST, I know it's around 10:00 or 11:00 PM. Leaning on 11:00 PM EST.

Yeah, pretty sure it's 11 here in EST.

Please be Seliph or Bruno.  Please.

Bruno would amuse me, but I don't see it happening.

Seliph I feel needs to be Red so he can have Best Tyrfing... unless he glued Tyrfing to a stick or something and called it a lance. I wouldn't be opposed to Blue Legendary Seliph tho.

I'm just hoping Flying Nino isn't on this month's banner, 'cause I have no Orbs for it right now. Also kinda expecting M!Grima and Spring Sharena with Hector. No idea who the new LB's gonna be tho.
