  1. That was very random and enjoyable, especially the dabbing with flying dislocated arms part.

Anyway, may as well review the video you posted. …I'm not sure I understand it.

It's supposed to be really funny, since he makes friends with an inanimate corn on the cob, and the song/video portrays the friendship in such a serious, deep, and emotional way.

Anyways, here the video for the below poster to react to:

  2. Since you have a lot of anime-esque girls in your signature, what preferences do you have for girls, appearance-wise? (Eg: long straight hair, glasses, Asian, etc.)

[Edit] That was actually directed towards twilitfalchion, but I guess it works for Sooks as well, except for the signature part.

Do you ever have trouble thinking of what to say to someone- not a stranger, but someone you’ve known a big portion of your life, like a family member or close friend, and you just don’t know what to say to them? How do you combat that?

I essentially have go-to questions that I almost always resort to. Examples include

-How have you been doing these days?

-What have you been up to this past week/month?

    -How has work/university/college been?

-Are there any upcoming events/releases (the latter meaning movie/TV show/video game releases) that you're looking forward to in the next couple of months?

I usually let the conversation flow from there in terms of what they answer, and expanding upon their answers with more questions, even if it's me asking "so what do you do instead of watch TV series?" or "what are your plans once you're done your university term?"

  3. What are your real life friends like, hobbies/personality-wise? How often do you get to hang out with them or talk with them?

Any food you don't eat simply because you dislike the taste?

No, actually. Even foods that are among my least favourite, such as pacbet (a dish with squash and  shrimp combined) or moongo (I think that's how it's spelt, it's essentially mung beans with shrimp & fish) I'll eat without complaining (those are Filipino foods, in case you're wondering). My siblings and I were raised that way, I guess.

  4. I... guess it's cool. I'm sorry to say, as much as I want to give the video a chance and enjoy it as its own thing, it just exudes "PS1 era and onward Square" to me, which I utterly despise. There are some "PS1 era and onward Square" games that I enjoy, like Dissidia and the FF1-6 Advance remakes (and the PSP remakes for the ones that received them), but Final Fantasy XV/Versus XIII isn't one of them, as cool and flashy as the fight scenes in the video were.

  5.   What is your favourite tragic death scene in movies/TV? (as in, a death scene of a character you like/care about, but you feel it was epically and respectfully implemented) If possible, do you have a youtube video of that death that you can link us to?

I really like your question so I’ll ask you! If you could be immune to any of the seven capital sins, which one would you pick and why?

Lust and anger are definitely on the top of my list. But lust beats out anger, due to my religious background and "everyday, typical" sins of lust having far more weight than "everyday, typical" sins of anger. Sure, I may have my lust far more in control than the average person, but with how high of standards Christianity has for purity, it's hard to choose being immune to anger, when being immune to lust would make me immensely closer to being an ideal Christian.

  6.   If you could be immune to any one of the seven capital sins (Eg: pride, lust, wrath), which one would you pick and why?

Favorite pairing (support wise) in Fire Emblem awakening?

You mean going by support conversations only, correct? I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be Chrom x Maribelle, since the conversations flow quite well and feel pretty natural, with the two of them knowing each other really well since childhood and the conversations don't seem too out of the blue. Ironically, I prefer Chrom x Sumia pairing-wise (mostly because the cutscenes heavily imply it to the point that it practically feels canon).

    You have a cool family.

    Thanks.

  7.   Who are your top 3 favourite characters to use in Mario spinoff games? (Eg: Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Golf/Tennis/other sports)

What is your favorite kind of burger?

I... don't actually eat that many different kinds of burgers (despite my family having burgers every Sunday). I guess an angus beef cheeseburger with mustard and onions is what comes off the top of my mind.

  8.   What's a game/game series that you really wanted to like, but couldn't? What stopped you from liking it?

Is there a fictional character that you can relate to?

If so, please only discuss it in a way that you feel comfortable doing.

Either you're really perceptive, I'm really obvious, or it's both.

That aside, I suppose Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon is the closest character I can think of, with my strengths and skills being rather unconventional , being much more skilled mentally than physically, and coming off as weird to most people.

  9.

@twilitfalchion Because part of me mentally interprets "Milady" as a potential branched evolution for female Machoke.

    Machop -> Machoke -> Milady

I haven't actually visualized what Milady would look like after it's evolved from Machoke, and I'm glad I haven't. You should do the same, in terms of not thinking what Milady evolved from Machoke look like.

@Sooks1016 High movement range that ignores terrain penalties, strong overall stats barring resistance... yeah... those two points pretty much sum it up.

Why can a strong imagination prove to be quite the double-edged sword?

But there’s no way to know I suppose, so you can always compose and send it to me.

I have no idea how to compose music through programs, sadly, or what programs to even use. I'm also pretty bad at coming up with completely original musical tunes.

  10. @Sooks1016 I'm sure you'll find the drive to play music again sooner or later. Even if it's 5 or 10 years from now, there's no shame in that.

@twilitfalchion I'll say this much: sharing my story idea with others has really upped my drive to come up with more ideas/improvements to my story, and maybe even have the drive to write more episodes later on. Perhaps sharing your one music video could do the same for you.

Do you think it would be possible to make a good/compelling villain/boss battle tune where the main tune consists of nails clawing glass/a chalkboard at different pitches? Why/why not? This is kind of an idea I came up with for the theme music of a horror villain.

  11.   Do you play any traditional fighting games? (Eg: Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat)

If you were in an FE game, what class and character archetype would you want to be?

Personality-wise, I guess Monk would fit me best due to being more intellectually strong than physically strong, and due to my religious upbringing. I'd probably be more of an Artur archetype than a Lucius/Libra archetype, since I don't look feminine at all. I got too much of a mustache for that.

  12.   If you were to be provided a free cosplay outfit for any Fire Emblem character of your choice, which character would you choose? For this question's purposes, you'd get a prop weapon and not a real one, and you wouldn't be given the character's horse/pegasus/wyvern/etc.

What would you say is your favorite Halloween costume that you've ever worn?

It'd easily be my Marth cosplay. I've technically only worn it for Halloween once or twice, and I wear it more for anime conventions.

Translation: "I'll relent my assault. But, if you're the same demo player, please never anger me again."

I guess you pissed him off somehow. He sounds like a NEET who no life plays Super Mario Maker 2, so you're not exactly dealing with society's most valuable asset. I have no idea what you did, but if I were you I'd just try to avoid ever interacting with him.

    Thanks for the translation.

As for what I did to get him angry, the only thing I can think of is frequently playing "Title Screen Courses" (which are essentially courses that are randomly created on the title screen that you can play/edit/upload) in the new courses section, and that's something a lot of people do to get a high rank on the First Clear/World Record Leaderboards in Super Mario Maker 2. Title Screen Courses tend to go by different names by the community, such as sample courses or demo courses. Based on the second part of the message, it sounds like he doesn't like me repeatedly playing "demo courses", despite there being tons of people who do the exact same thing (himself among them), and they're much higher on the leaderboards than I am (the guy who messaged me is currently #2 in the world for the World Record Leaderboards). And with how quickly he's able to beat "Title Screen Courses" and Mario Maker courses in general, I'm pretty sure I've never taken a World Record from him (his Title Screen Course times are always faster than mine), so it's not like he can be angry about that.

Based on your knowledge of Japanese, do you think the "if you're the same demo player" part of the message could mean something else?

Taking WR's from people is not against the community guidelines at all, so I don't know what you're on about.

It's not so much the community guidelines, and this isn't about cases where one person steals only 1 or 2 world records from another person a day. It's more of how most Super Mario Maker 2 players will react to you if you steal multiple world records from them (3 or more) in a short timespan. You should see how much hate people get in the comments of their levels if they repeatedly mass steal World Records from the same person. The player "kiara smm2" (6C4-PKM-L0G) got so many hate comments in the latest course she uploaded pertaining to her World Record stealing, that she completely disabled comments in her levels. If she ever enables comments again, you can check her level Caves of Ice and Fire and she how much hate she got. I myself have been a victim of her predatory World Record stealing (she stole 15 WRs from me within 3-5 hours).

  14. If/when you have kids, are there any video games you can't wait to play with them or have them experience?

What's the best controller that you've played with?

While I don't read fan fictions, there are plenty of SFMs that I've seen for TF2. I think that it's debatable whether or not TF2 SFMs count as fan fiction, but they all have they're own unique stories to tell, so I'd consider it fan fiction... sort of. Turbulence is probably one of my favorites.

I think it'd have to be the SNES Controller. It's the most reliable controller I've used, and the longest lasting in terms of button longevity. The 3DS and Switch buttons (especially the right D-Pad Button) get soft after a couple of years of use, the Wii Remote and GBA is plenty durable, buttons-wise, but doesn't have as many buttons as the SNES Controller does, and any controller with an analog stick eventually deteriorates significantly in the "directional input" department.
