  1. Hi everyone, For a while now, I've been trying to find images from a dead website called StarLight Express, with the artist going by the name hissaa. The particular website, using a web archiver, can be found here... https://web.archive.org/web/20040805155345/http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~hissa-s/cgroom3.htm I mean, playing around with the dates, I managed to get some of the images to work, such as one for Linde... https://web.archive.org/web/20031127045241/http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~hissa-s/rinda10-3.jpg However, most links are broken, resulting in error404 messages. Looking around, I found a good amount of images on Danbooru (I don't think a URL would be a good idea...NSFW material is plentiful there, but type in hissaa and you will find some if you want examples). However, the collection is incomplete... For example, a picture of Norne is not available there or anywhere else I've looked for it...that has a broken link and picture link being... https://web.archive.org/web/20120228152545/http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~hissa-s/noln1-4.jpg https://web.archive.org/web/20120228152545/http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~hissa-s/nolnpre1-3.jpg Neither work... Is anyone aware of a place where the entire collection or more of these images can be found? Thanks Charged151
  2. Keep in mind that the dark orb corrupted him when he created Imhullu from it. It was said he was more like Ellerean beforehand.
  3. I pulled it off. Expect to reset a few times though.
  4. I just beat Lunatic. I also beat Lunatic on FE12. I guess that means I am in the club.
  5. Hi there. I beat normal mode last night. Have to say this is a fantastic game. Anyway, I beat FE12 on Lunatic and would like to try that on here. A few things though. 1. So for most units, you promote or reclass as soon as you are able to? The exceptions would be for getting the promoted skills at level 15... Do I have that right? 2. Why do a lot of people suggest Chrom/Olivia? 3. Are there any specific pairings that are recommended for Lunatic Mode? 4. Is it worth it to buy the DLC in the store right now? I am referring to the Roy one. 5. The only way male units will get galeforce is to have it passed to them from their mother? 6. Is Donnel trainable on this difficulty? I didn't bother with him on normal mode, but the skill which add +20% to everything looks good in retrospect. 7. Any other suggestions/recommendations?
  6. I still can't see this not eventually getting released later. I strongly believe another Fire Emblem game will be coming out (this includes possible remakes), and if NOA and NOE don't make this "legally" available around the globe, then it would almost certainly hurt future interest in said next game for the casual gamer and thus future sales. It still is a strong possibility (in my mind, perhaps not others' minds) that it may get released in a manner similar to FE5, as in it could get released internationally just before Nintendo's support for the DS evaporates altogether... That said, NOA and NOE have definitely waited too long to get this game around the globe, and the sales of this game will almost certainly be hurt because of that...If only because every day the game isn't released globally more and more people are going to play it via other means... It's just how the cookie crumbles I guess, but this means Nintendo may interpret this as "waning interest in the series", which could have nasty consequences I will not speak of. Note, some games have gotten globalized after more than 2+ years wait, so there is always hope anyway you slice it.
  7. Just curious. I was reading about E3 and found out it isn't open to anyone but "professionals". Because of this, if Fire Emblem New Mystery is announced at the event, when will we hear about it?
  8. I'm going to be an optimist and say that this game will come out in NA, although my hope seems to be draining away every day. Anyway, E3 is the last hope in my mind, and only after that will a majority of people lose hope altogether. Anyway, we'll get a translation patch sooner or later, so it's Nintendo of America's loss if they decide not to translate it and port it.
  9. People are talking about games that were ported up to higher systems for exportation from Japan. Anyway, one I can think of is Naruto Clash of the Ninja, which was exported as a DS game after minimal changes from its Gameboy Advance equivalent. Anyway, what is most bothering me is that Nintendo of America/Europe may decide to not translate New Mystery just because of Shadow Dragon's "bad reception", so to speak. First off, is this even true that Shadow Dragon's reception sales-wise was that bad? I thought about half of Shadow Dragon's sales were from outside of Japan, so I'm questioning this. Anyway, I hope Nintendo of America/Europe doesn't base whether to translate New Mystery based on Shadow Dragon... Radiant Dawn was the game that came out before it Shadow Dragon, and even if it wasn't a perfect game, it featured the biggest character cast to date I believe (New Mystery may have a bigger cast, although I'm not entirely sure) and was enjoyed by most fans (although haters will always be haters), and had many features in it such as the magic triangle that got scrapped in Shadow Dragon. Getting rid of this wouldn't have been so bad if Nintendo bothered to take the time to add things like support conversations into Shadow Dragon and overall more depth into a remake of a NES game for goodness sakes, but besides better graphics and raised stat caps (often without raising stat growths based on 20 stat caps), Shadow Dragon simply wasn't improved enough. Hell, Linde got screwed royally in the remake with her speed growth being cut from 60 to 35, and I still have no idea why Nintendo decided to do this, which actually was one thing that made Shadow Dragon worse than Fire Emblem 1/3 Book 1, in my opinion. However, New Mystery (or whatever you wish to call it) has, as most people know already, the characteristics of an amazing remake. It has a full support system with actual conversations, uped the stat growths of characters to match the higher stat caps, has higher difficultly modes that actually match what they say they are (Hard 5, Merciless of Shadow Dragon, seemed to get easier and easier as it progressed, with the only exception to this being maybe the final level), and actually had another whole plot added to it; the Assassins' Plot. This game essentially had the quality that was desired after Radiant Dawn, although Shadow Dragon fell short, to say the least... Obviously, I am hoping this game will get translated by Nintendo of America/Europe, and I really hope that this doesn't happen simply because of Shadow Dragon's poor quality. Anyway, I guess the last hope is E3. If not there, a fan-translation will surely come about, although I think Nintendo of America/Europe would be screwing thereselves out of a lot of money if they decide to not translate and port this...
  10. I have to admit, it is pretty sad how long it's taking for this Fire Emblem game to get translated and localized so far. No other Fire Emblem game since the games started to be translated and localized have taken this long. Anyway, less and less people are so sure it will get translated and localized at this point, with me barely holding onto hope... I guess we will have to wait to E3 till we either have our dreams realized, or...I'm sure you all know what must be done if worst comes to worst. Some people have already done it.
  11. You know, I thought if Sety and Teeny (Tinny, which ever name used) were lovers, and Sety was Levin's son, they would both go to Silesia. However, if no one else except Tinny is available to take over Freege (which will happen if Azel is her father with Arthur running off to Velthomer) she instead takes up Freege and doesn't stay with Sety... Also, no one ever can stay with Yuria. The generator has this right, although I'm a little disappointed it happened this way... Anyway, I believe this game's time period is in a time where marriage "for politics" trumps marriage "for love", or something to that extent...
  12. Heh... The thing I hate most about Gheb is that he somehow became so popular to get his own fan-made game. In my opinion, that is just beyond stupid. I don't think we know him long enough though to really get to hate him to the extent we could other villains (he only appears in one chapter, and won't even be seen in an Eirika Run), although I (like most others I assume) would be happy to see him die in the most horrible way imaginable for cursing us with his horrible existence... Just my two cents about him.
  13. Alvis obviously. Regardless, he wanted power like Pet Pikachu said, and it was this combination of weaknesses that Manfloy manipulated to create the tragedy in this game. Not saying Alvis is as evil as Manfloy, but he did commit horrible, unforgivable acts and due to what he did, I can't help but feel Alvis reaped what he sowed in the end... Anyway, I feel we may be getting a little off topic, so... My vote for the most contemptible villain is Manfloy. Main reasons being he is incredibly cruel, plus unlike some of the other major villains, he wasn't corrupted by some dark means to become what he is (Dark Orb-Gharnef, Loptous-Yurius, Fortomis-Lyon, etc.). By the way, what officially corrupted Nergal? Was it Ereshkigal? Too much power/quintessence? I can't remember...
  14. I'm not saying that Alvis didn't go through a horrible childhood, it indeed is horribly terrible to lose both parents at age 7. Concerning the whole Manfloy telling the world thing, does it really make that much sense when broken down? Why should anyone believe Manfloy? Plus, what is to stop people from killing Manfloy as soon as he admits this to the world, since he is definitely identifiable as a Loptian, with there being plenty of potential doubt concerning Alvis. Alvis could have just said he was lying, and Manfloy would have been killed off... Plus, I honestly think he could have killed off Manfloy secretly to deal with the problem. Considering he killed off Siglud, this shouldn't be a problem for him... Heck, he betrayed Leptor as well, so why Alvis didn't secretly kill someone even eviler like Manfloy off still baffles me... I mean, it isn't like it isn't obvious enough that Manfloy isn't a good guy...
  15. I feel more sorry for Sigurd, who was brutally killed for nothing he had ever done, and Diadora, who eventually remembered Sigurd was her husband and realized she had slept with and gave birth to the children of the man who killed him...with one of those said children ending up killing her...
  16. Concerning the point about Alvis not knowing that Sigurd's wife was Deirdre, I have to disagree. The designer notes say he figured it out before he killed Sigurd, and even though they aren't specific, he definitely knew. After all, why do you think Alvis brought out Dierdre near the end of Chapter 5? He was mainly trying to see her reaction to Sigurd to confirm what he had basically already figured out. Heck, Alvis's reaction to one of Manfloy's questions in Chapter 5 kind of gave this away.
  17. Huh. I always killed the Falcoknights with my Holsety User, so I never go it till I forced the game to make it happen... Anyway, I cannot believe that there isn't a site that doesn't have a complete list of which units actually can call for reinforcements... Also, Voltz; the Forrest Knight that Beowolf comes with; does not possess the reinforce, since killing his entire squad didn't trigger him to go for reinforcements... By the way... I am considering adding a page to the Fire Emblem Wiki about which bosses get reinforcements, and I didn't check one; mainly, the faceless boss that appears in Chapter 1 that runs after Dew and Adean. I will eventually go back to check, but does anyone know whether or not he does go for reinforcements or not? Also, thanks for mentioning the faceless generals as getting reinforcements!
  18. Just did some quick calculations, and both Rody and Draug cap strength and speed on average. With this in mind, it will take more effort to get Rody up and going than Draug, but he still has the supports over Draug though, that NO ONE else mentioned (EDIT, mjemirzian did)... I guess Draug does beat out Rody early game, but considering they both cap strength and speed and considering he is better than Draug late game thanks to his supports, Rody beats out Draug at least then. Anyway, he is possible to use, is not a total failure, and I am glad that mjemirzian agrees with me. Mainly, he just has a harder time early game, where MU is likely dominating anyway. Note, I NEVER said that Rody was better than Luke. Anyway, judging by some of the complete negativity in some responses, something is up. Note, I feel like I am having to repeat myself, and the fact mjemirzian posted when he did meant that I had to do a fair bit of editing, lol. Another edit, if what mjemirzian is saying is true, than Luke can still get all the level ups in the prologue he needs without Rody having to steal much experience from him. Also good to know.
  19. Just curious Marthur, what version of snes9x did you use to get that? My version, 1.5.2.0, says its not in proper snap shot format... Anyway, I believe you that it can be done, so I will keep trying to pull this off. Update: I just got them to do a triangle attack on Fee! Lucky me for getting to see it, but unlucky Fee...Lol. One of the odd things though is there is no "Special Dialogue" that states they are going to initiate it...unlike with Vampa and her sisters.
  20. I was using Claude!Fee, although the three Falcoknights seemed more interested in re-moving away from her (and toward other units) instead of getting into formation for the triangle attack... Anyway, thank you Medeus. Just curious, can anyone show a video/picture of the triangle attack of the Falcoknights; or failing that, can anyone voutch from their own experience that they have seen it happen? Oh! I meant that Celice and Yuria have no Sibling Critical! Of course they don't have a triangle attack... Whoops, I'll fix that.
  21. I see. I just wanted to make a clarification about what I meant by the Axe Brothers speed. I read the issue here: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=20891, and what caught my eye is the following: Note: After you create this pair, then RR so that Johan/Johalva's and Sety's speed isn't Glitched. If you never RR in the 2nd generation, Joha bros keep their speed bonuses from their lvl ups and Sety comes with 30 speed. However if you RR, then you lose the speed increse in the Joha bros and Sety's speed returns to 16. So it's better to NOT exp to much the Joha bros until you make the pair. Afterwards, just RR so you can also get the 3-star leadership bonus for Celice. I'm not really sure exactly what this is meaning, but resetting supposably affects the Axe Brothers speed from level ups or something??? Anyway, your assistance is appreciated, and any further help would as well.
  22. Now that the Rainbow Potion is in play, I feel that Rody should be moved up since his biggest problem (base stats) are no longer as big of an issue. Considering what to compare him to, the fact is Luke is going to end up as a Swordmaster (He gets a D in Swords as a Cavalier) for most people, while Rody is going to end up as likely a Horseman/Sniper (Due to starting with a E in Swords). Thus, Rody needs to be compared against Draug, the other unit you would likely use as eventually a Horseman/Sniper. Before mentioning this, Rody availability in the Prologue allows him to some level ups (although he still may be a level or two behind Draug), but the Rainbow Potion makes it less of an issue. Now, looking at the Base Growth Rates... Rody HP 40Atk 35Mag 0Skl 35Spd 55Lck 60Def 25Res 10 DraugHP 20Atk 25Mag 0Skl 30Spd 50Lck 40Def 25Res 10 So, Rody has +20 Hp, +10 Atk, +5 Skl, +5 Spd, and +20 Lck over Draug... Draug has nothing on him in terms of growths. Of course, others would argue that Draug still comes with better bases and also could also use the Rainbow Potion to just make himself better. However, My Unit and Luke have two way supports with him, plus Ryan and Cecil (if for whatever reason you are happening to use them), which could count for a lot in Chapters like 18 where you have to make an enemy pull in which avoiding would help a lot in correctly making the enemy not gang up on any particular unit. Thus, I would advise placing him above Draug and below Luke, primarily because of better availability, growths, and supports. The only thing Draug has over him is base stats, and since the Rainbow Potion remedies this primarily early game issue, it isn't as big of an issue. Anyway, what do you guys think?
  23. Hi there everyone. This is my first time actually posting on Serenes Forest (although I've been using this site for a while for info). I have a few things I would like to ask. 1. Does anyone have a list of what mobile bosses (a very loose term; also includes faceless enemies with one leadership star) will run back to an enemy castle to get reinforcements? I am thinking about doing a run where everyone has a weapon with 50+ kills, so this information would be useful. I've been playing around for a little while, and I've found that Schmidt (Enemy that gives you Lex's Hero Axe in Chapter 6), Hannibal, Burian, and Ishtar (Final Chapter) will all run for reinforcements if you kill all their units under their control. I've also tried to get Eltshan (Chapter 3) to do so, but even if I kill all the Cross Knights, it doesn't happen... Enemies I'm particularly interested in learning about specifically are Jamka (when he is still an enemy in Chapter 1), Zyne (Boss in Chapter Two that charges you once you get to the part where Fury appears and you deal with the enemy with the Sleep Staff), Pizarl (Chapter 3 Pirate Boss that moves), Deet'ver/Cuvuil/Pamela/Donovan/Lamia (Chapter 4 Bosses) Andre/Slayder (Chapter 5 Bosses before fighting Langobalt), and Liza (Chapter 7 boss that is fought at the same time Ishtore is). 2. When you reset in the Second Generation, I know the Jealousy System shifts and Celice now has 3 leadership stars (I don't know why he didn't start with this...), but I've also heard something changes in regards to the axe brothers' (Johan/Johalva) speed and Sety's speed if Levin is his father. Can anyone clarify exactly what happens? 3. Does anyone have solid evidence that Isthar's three Falco Knights (Meng, Maybell, Bleg) actually have a Triangle Attack? I've tried to get them into the proper formation (and yet they somehow always won't get in the right formation), and even though I have added to the Fire Emblem Wiki that they do have it, I have been unable to verify it myself... I heard someone found out that Celice and Yuria have no Sibling Critical using Nightmare, so I'm wondering if someone has looked for this that way, or perhaps the A.I. has to be set a certain way (Normal/Hard)... 4. Can anyone point me to a site that actually shows which village specifically Laylea (Leen's sub) has to go to to get the Barrier Sword? The actual Geneology of the Holy War page for this game on this site just says a village south of Lenster (which I hope doesn't refer to the one with the Speed Ring). Any help with answering these questions would be appreciated!
