  1. I hope you are using Marques from Staff of Ages as a placeholder portrait because if not, you should probably ask permission from his creators (the SoA developers) to use his portrait (and I'm fairly sure they would not allow you to use his portrait). Anyway, the story looks interesting enough. On a side note, I feel like Eris should be a goddess, not a god (since the Greek goddess Eris was a, well, goddess), but that is up to you. It's your game, after all.
  2. Can we have (even if early ideas) some pics of Winter's mugs? You know, since she is the fourth Lord we haven't had any info on outside of her basic description (Mage Thief reminds me of FEGirls tho). Is Erwand your OC? Judging by your profile pic he should be either that, one of your favorite characters you've created or just another Book of Exiles banner. On a side note, congrats for creating one of the few hacks (or hack concepts) where I dislike NONE of the main characters (whom I have nicknamed the Exiled Lord Gang: Quinn the Shirtless, Saelamendron who reminds me of Ringabel from Bravely Default for some reason (play it if you haven't, it's a great 3DS game!), Raena, who is currently my Book of Exiles bae/waifu/favourite girl (tell me she's going to be slightly tomboyish, I like girls with a strong attitude in videogames) and Winter, the Mage Thief so mysterious we don't even know what she looks like).
  3. But why would they ever be in a situation where an enemy can attack them and they cannot counter? It's true, you'd have to put a unit to block the enemies from getting to your archer, but the incredible range bows have in Echoes is specifically made to shoot faraway enemies from safe locations where the archer cannot be reached by the enemies. Of course, Witches can warp in and hit your archer, but Witches are some of the most dangerous enemies in the game because of the fact that they can warp everywhere. I believe someone already said this, but the only thing stopping Witches from screwing any strategy over is the AI being dumb. You can't do much against witches, other than kill them ASAP. And by the way, only bow-wielding units and people who learn Silence (which has bad range and probably won't hit often due to Witches/Cantors/high-tier magical enemies' high Res; there is not many units who can learn Silence in the first place, either) can help against Witches than you cannot immediately kill. Archers, with their Ward Arrow art, learned from (IIRC) Silver Bows, make for the best, safest and most accurate way to Silence people in this game. It's true that the Silence spell is an option, but it is usually inaccurate against the people you want to Silence. Ward Arrow, instead, relies on Hit to connect, and Leon (since that's the archer we're talking about here) is the easiest way to get Ward Arrow and to get it working. Python and Atlas are fairly inaccurate and you may not want to use Tobin as an Archer (the most accurate one in the game due to high Skl/Lck) since he is arguably better as a Mage due to earliest Excalibur access (almost surely has it by the time Luthier joins). Leon, instead, is the most accurate Archer at base and can be an accurate Ward Arrower (that's not even a word, what am I saying). So yeah, that was my totally unnecessary rant about Ward Arrow being best used by Leon, thus making him at least decent.
  4. Percival is now Conrad from Echoes, has the same bases as Conrad and Conrad's growths +15%. Deke is now Jesse from Echoes and has the same bases and growths. If possible, make him unhindered by desert terrain. Javelins now has doubled Might, 100 Hit, doubled Weight. Hand Axes now have 40 Hit and 50 Crit.
  5. 1) I don't think a quarter-dragon has that much "draconic power". One should live slightly longer than a normal human (if a normal human lives about 80 years, a quarter-dragon should live like 90-100 years, for example). 2) I voted nerf because on its own, the Binding Blade is way too OP. Decide depending on which units will be able to use it and how strong they will be (for example, if Roy is as strong as he is normally or as strong as FE7 Eliwood, nerf the Binding Blade). 3) Mage Dragon fits both with her class and her divinatory abilities (I doubt people like Bantu, who is a Fire Dragon, have such powers) 4) 50% because being a dragon and/or using a dragonstone is pretty important in Fire Emblem. In games with Manaketes, they're not commonly seen around normal people, and even Dragon Tribe Laguz live in a secluded region of Tellius, Goldoa (although that is mainly because Deghinsea chose it to be so). 5) All of the characters you listed in the poll seem to have gotten stronger and/or wiser by aging, so their "prime" would probably be when they're older, rather than when they're younger. Hector (only gameplay-wise) and Marcus are probably the only exceptions, as most improved (like Eliwood), some we don't have records of before their first appearance (like Duessel and Douglas), and some have remained the same (like Erik being a pussy both in FE6 and FE7).
  6. Yeah, basically what the title says. Make a list of your top 10/top 15 units in all of FE with some reasons why you like them so much . Personally, I would go with (trying to take at least one unit from every FE, in no particular order of preference): - Jesse, from Gaiden. Now, I have spoiled myself on everything about Echoes, but I don't have the game yet. A friend of mine lent me his Echoes copy for about a week and Jesse was basically one of the stars of the playthrough. He got amazing level-ups, is a fun character, and has a cool design. Although I'm referring to Echoes!Jesse, I just couldn't leave out a certain someone, (specifically one of the two characters that were introduced in Echoes (hint: it's not Faye)), so Jesse occupies the Gaiden spot, beating Delthea by very little. - Finn, from Genealogy of the Holy War. Finn is overall solid from beginning to end, especially once he gets the Brave Lance. With it, Finn is almost guaranteed to ORKO anyone he comes across. He also comes with Miracle, which is a skill I find incredibly fun to use in Genealogy, especially when in combination with Wrath. With that said, he does have a pretty big weakness to magic, due to his low Resistance. The only reason why I didn't put him as Thracia 776's character is because another cavalry unit barely outshined him, and that one is... - Fergus, from Thracia 776 (duh!). Fergus is the perfect example of a unit that adapts perfectly to the mechanics of the game he is in: Dismounting? Who cares, he uses swords anyway. Critting? This man has 5, so he can potentially reach 85% Crit upon joining on double Attacks. Terrain that is hard to cross? No problem, his girl Karin is there to ferry him over. Fergus is beastly. - I'm going to receive a lot of hate for my two picks from Binding Blade... Sophia and Wendy (yes, I'm using some names from fantranslations, IS. Have at me.). I don't know what it is, but they are Always great for me, and I never had enormous problems training the two (probably the RNG favouring me in that regard). What also helps is the fact that for me, most other units in their class are somewhat lackluster. Bors usually gets RNG screwed for me, Barth is uninteresting as a character and if I were to choose between him and Bors, I'd pick Bors. Douglas is amazing as a character, but not so much as a unit. Raigh has bad bases and his growths don't make up for that very well, especially since he joins at Level 12. Niime is a staffbot, and I'd prefer someone who could actually wield Apocalypse, someone with actual combat stats. - I am going to skip Blazing Sword because while replaying the game, I've found out that I like some units (like Dorcas) more than I though I originally did and some units I love (like Serra and Rebecca) are letting me down in recent playthroughs. - For Sacred Stones, it's Lute. Funny character, amazing unit, reliable 99% of the time. When I started playing on Hard Mode in SS as well, I realized how good Mage Knight is for her. Sage is still my preferred option and if I ever play Creature Campaign again, she is going that way. Until then, she will just be the main staff-user (as long as L'Arachel is not there to purify the growths with her perfect stats). - For Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, I choose Mist and Rolf. Although Rolf is much better in Radiant Dawn than Mist is, I still use her because I am a sucker for brother-sister relationships (not hentai) and she is just fantastic, both as a character and as a unit. Rolf is in the same boat (and I usually A-support the two in PoR): he is great as a unit and as a character, and I love the fact that he is a child. (No, Ross/Ewan are not children, because no child would be that enthusiastic about fighting A WAR. Amelia is a lot more mature than the two of them) Why do I specify that he's a child? Well, you can see (well, read) from his Supports that he doesn't want to kill people, but he is going to do it because those people hurt the people he cares about. Onto the Archanean games. - Norne is here to represent Shadow Dragon just because I like her design and her performance in combat. I can't really use anything else as a reason since she is not developed in any way in the games she is in, aside from the fact that I love Snipers (as you may have seen with Rolf). - Cecille is my favourite character in Archanea, because I just love girls with a strong personality . Also, the headband she gives you in FE12 is pretty cool and she is in my opinion the best Cavalier/Paladin in FE3 and FE12. - Maribelle wins the FE13 spot because she actually DEVELOPS in her Supports (bet you didn't see that one coming, considering most other characters in Awakening). She is also a great staffbot ad is usually a better unit than Lissa for me. But yeah, development is a pretty big thing in Awakening, so she gets this place. - Beruka has to be one of the units I've had the most fun using in any FE. I remember thinking one day: "Wait a minute, Beruka can reclass to Fighter, get good stats across the board, then go back to Wyvern Lord for Hinoka's chapter while maintaining her Weapon Ranks and can even go Hero for Sol." I also love how she is learning what emotions are, since she was taught to be cold and ruthless as an assassin. By far the best Fighter in Fates. - The Echoes character is Conrad. I don't have much to say other than what I've said for many others: good unit, good character, I'm a big fan of brother-sister subplots, ... (Can we have a Conrad member badge, please?)
  7. For my male OC, Lord (not actually a noble): "Pay for your sins!" "Die in the name of knowledge!" "My friend, grant me strength!" "I'm here! And here! And here! But you... ARE EVEN FURTHER AWAY!" "The sentence... is Death." For my female OC, Lyla (theoretically Lord's twin): "I will not have pity on you!" "Your crimes cannot go unpunished! Begone!" "I shall now set your soul free!" "You cannot defeat the power of love and family!" "Crumble into dust!" For my best friend's OC, Angelo (who is sitting beside me and laughing like a maniac as he suggests quotes): "Think you hurt me? Oh, now I'M GONNA HURT YOU!" "I'll crush you so hard you will die! Multiple times!" "A crime can only be punished with a crime! Now... WE ARE THE SAME!" "Sorry, but I've got my friends' back. This is your last stop." "This is unacceptable! Die before the might of a Templar!" (Note: I don't know why he decided his OC was a Templar)
  8. I went Brady for male, even though it was a really close one between him and Owain. I chose him because in my first playthrough Maribelle (one of my favourite units in Awakening and favourite female in the game) married Donnel and as such Brady was so damn fun to use. Why Owain... Well, I'M HIS FATHER. Funnily enough, his wife from that playthrough, Noire, is also my favourite female child. I find her cute (especially with Gaius' hair color) and you can't help but feel bad for the girl because of her mother (fuck you Tharja, Henry is better in any conceivable way).
  9. This is something I've been wondering about for a while now. So, we know from the epilogue of Radiant Dawn that Micaiah and Sanaki are sisters. Many people (laguz in particular) talk about how Micaiah is probably a lot older than she looks, due to being of Branded lineage, and we even see a CG that shows the first time Micaiah and Sothe met: in the CG, Micaiah is almost identical to how she is during the events of Radiant Dawn, but Sothe is 7-8 years old. Considering that Micaiah looks like she is 16 and Sothe looks like he is 20 or something like that, at least 10 years must have passed since their first meeting. Now, my question is: is Sanaki also Branded or does she hail from a different part of the family and is somehow Micaiah's half-sister or something like that? Technically, that would be impossible, since they are both Misaha's grandchildren and Micaiah, according to Lekain, was even supposed to be the new apostle. From what little I know about genetics, I seem to recall that some diseases can be passed down genetically, but I don't think the Branded characteristics are the same (and being Branded is not a disease, even though the people of Tellius seem to believe otherwise). Is Sanaki Branded then? Do the Branded characteristics (like aging more slowly than others) only appear at a certain age (she is 13)? The game's timeline apparently doesn't think she is Branded, as she was made apostle when she was 5 years old and that matches pretty perfectly with 5 years prior to the events of PoR (she was 10 in PoR, btw).
  10. Dorcas starts as a Brigand and has Marty's bases, but unchanged growths. He starts with a Poison Axe and a Hand Axe.
  11. Get Saizo. Hinoka!Asugi is pretty damn good and better than Hinoka!Dwyer in my opinion. Having more ninjas is never bad, while you should already have Felicia and Jakob as Maids/Strategists.
  12. Faye seems cool and Falcoknights were effective against monsters in Gaiden IIRC, so Pegasus Knight for her (Pegs are also my second favourite class). As for the other 4, I'm pretty sure they weren't that great Mages back in the original, so I'll probably reclass each one into one of the remaining four classes (Mercenary, Cavalier, Archer, Soldier). I know Alm doesn't have a lot of weapon variety, but my decisions will probably be based on my mood when I'll get to promote them.
  13. Oh shit guys. I'm on Turn 10 of Chapter 5 and I realized Levin still has Sylvia listed as his "lover". Is there any way to fix this? I'm willing to use cheats if necessary.
  14. Ok nice I think I can live without a Dancer. Thanks everyone. Oh, btw, Arthur gets the Pursuit Ring. Lester already has the Hero Bow so he won't need it that much (I hope).
  15. So, I'm on Chapter 5. I've realized that I have to kill Sylvia or I won't get my Levin!Arthur. Basically I can't proceed without Sylvia and Levin falling in love. So I had a few questions about the consequences of this action. - What will it be of things in Sylvia's inventory? I currently have a Slim Sword and a Leg Ring. What will it be of those? Also what of her money? - Will this remove any Love Points there were between her and Claude and her and Levin? Will I then be able of finishing Levin and Tiltyu (I know it shouldn't take more than a few more turns together) (This is especially important because it decides whether I will be able to pair Levin with Tiltyu once Sylvia is dead) - After I've managed Sylvia's inventory for her sacrifice (so taking away her stuff in case it disappears upon her death, because I really want the Leg Ring she has) - After Sylvia is dead, can I safely rush Claude back to Zaxon and have him resurrect her for her dancing utility? I've realized that I won't be able to get Claude's staves unless I give money to Aideen. Should I give them to Aideen or just wait for them to show up in the Second Generation? - Last but not least, who do you recommend I give the Leg Ring and the Pursuit Ring to? I don't know about the Leg Ring, but the original plan for the Pursuit one was to sell it and give it to Jamka once my guys are about to get Meteor'd in the face (aka the First Generation ends). He would pass it down to Lester. The other option was Levin!Arthur, but between Adept, Critical, Wrath and Forseti, he has more than enough ways of killing enemies. Just so you know, my other pairings (Aira/Lex, Lachesis/Beowulf, Fury/Noish, Sylvia/Grim Reaper, Dew/Briggid) all have Pursuit on both children, so that won't be a big issue.
  16. I was thinking of making staves much more supportive and adding even more status effects than the ones we've had so far. For example, Slow (like in FE7x). You could also have a lot more beneficial staves to use on allies, like Haste (+50% Move until the end of the turn) or Quick (+5 Spd until the end of the turn/decreases by 1 each turn, like a Barrier staff). The Again staff could come back. Maybe have a Clone staff, that works like the Replicate skill from Fates but creates a clone of the target, not the user. In a potential game with monsters (please FE Switch, have a game with a giant monster boss that is like twenty times bigger than your units), you could do what TearRing Saga did and make Summoning staves for harpies, ogres, golems and all those other monsters.
  17. Gaius as a big, hairy Warrior. Basilio as a General and Flavia as a Hero or a General as well, and keep them paired up. All the time. Miriel as anything you want, really. Can I ask you get Laurent and get him killed? Anyway, those were my suggestions (Basilio and Flavia's is one suggestion).
  18. But more importantly, will we recruit Calcos boss who can talk English even worse than Leanne (something I never thought of being possible)? Will Shayera become playable? Will we get to fire cannon balls on innocent civilians? Will Malcolm/Llyra become a thing? Will we have a chapter in Bram's mind (which totally doesn't seem like Inception 2)? Find out this and more in the next episode of The Craziest Hack in the World not counting Chaos Mode, also known as Bloodlines.
  19. Today I was playing Dream of Five (on a side note, are they still working on the FEXNA port?) and I got Lia promoted to Valkyrie and the Mage Knight guy (Stolypin, I think). So I thought: why can't we have mounted unprompted mages? because they would be OP as fuck You could have Heralds (mounted Anima mages), Prophets/Apostles (mounted Monks) and (something?) (mounted Shamans). Since I had nothing better to do, I thought of some other (not) interesting ideas: Legates (Sword/Lance), Guardsmen (Lances/Axes), something (Axes/Swords) in place of the usual Armor Knights. They may or may not promote to Generals, but I can't think of other names for them. Next up are Pegasus Hunters and Falcon Hunters, Bow-wielding Pegasus Knights. With this, we have officially decided how bad a class can get (just kidding, Falcon Knights are my second favorite class after Swordmasters). So, I'm into Greek history and mythology and stuff, so I believe a class such as Hoplites would be a cool idea: they are Halberdiers, minus the Crit bonus, plus Swords, with less Strength and Skill and more Speed and Defence. By the way, I'm posting this in Concepts because first, it's a concept, and second, someone may actually find this interesting and do it in a hack.
  20. A thief lord that is not idealistic. I don't mind about one with a Robin Hood complex, but maybe a lord that has his own problems (whether they are related or unrelated to the conflict/civil war/whatever that is happening in the continent) and goals. (Note: I'm referring to these lords as males, but I would actually like them to be female, provided they are not the incarnation of fanservice. A Lyn/Celica/Eirika/Micaiah type lord, in that sense). Another idea would be a lord that acts for vengeance (I believe Tekun from Blazer's The Last Promise hack had something similar with his father, but he was not a lord). For example, he starts in a village trying to get information about his enemy, then he moves somewhere else where he discovers that his enemy is part of the army and decides to enlist to have the opportunity to fight him, and so on. Another dream of mine that I got from watching the Blue Dragon anime about a month ago was having an informant as the main character/one of the main characters. Maybe he could act as a supporting unit, but as Homeron (from the above mentioned Blue Dragon) demonstrated, he may even have weaponry that is exclusive to him. Something I can't believe no one has already thought of is a religious lord. He or she would travel a continent (before, during or after a conflict of sorts for example) to create/restore the faith of both common people and nobility in whatever gods or holy people they worship/used to worship.
  21. Ranger JR sounds cool, as does having another bow user (so another Tide Hunter wielder). The problem is, wasn't JR and Bram's rivalry based on becoming a better swordsman than the other? This makes things kinda impractical on a character level and on a gameplay level (mainly the gaiden with JR and Bram facing each other in a Ike vs Black Knight style). Are you planning on making Rangers sword-wielders as well Ghast? Anyway, looking forward to another gorgeous big boobs siren that will become the new meme of Mangs' Bloodlines LPs.
  22. Artur is a Revenant with Marty's base stats and growths. His name is replaced by "worst unit"
