  1. Alfred I believe everyone here is really sorry to see this go, but I personally keep following you as a YouTube subscriber. I must say, this was a better work than half of everything I've ever seen in FE to this day. Your real life is more important than a game, and we will withstand this. After all, there is no reason to believe that FE hacks are dead, with great ones such as Bloodlines and Staff of Ages... Your work was truly magnificent, Alfred. We will eagerly wait for something new from you, even if it takes as much as waiting for Faratrass to level Spd...
  2. So... Danielle is Linda's mom, Manfred is the Emperor and Rydell is the assassin. Still haven't understood what's the deal with Legato (or all of this chapter's bosses in general)
  3. Ok, so I've managed to write down these pairings from you guys' advice. Aideen x Jamka - Since everyone seems to agree that Midir or Jamka are the best since they pass the Brave Bow to Lester, I went for Jamka for three reasons: 1 - I like Jamka more 2 - They have more similar movement ranges. 3 - I can afford to give Lester the Pursuit Ring. Aira x Lex - Skasaha and Lakche are unscrewable, so Elite for the kids is gonna make them better earlier on. Ambush helps. Holyn was also an option, but since from what I understand Moonlight Sword and Meteor Sword can't proc at the same time, it's kinda overkill. Lachesis x Beowulf - Everyone suggested this, so here I go. Not much to say here. Fury/Erin x Azel - Sety is boss and Fee can heal somewhat well and fight with a magic sword. The only problem is the big difference in movement ranges to make them fall in love. I'll make it work. Sylvia x Claude - One of the pairings I said I was not changing. Corple is a staffbot, so may as well give him access to the Valkyrie Staff in case I feel like suiciding with someone in the last few chapters for some reason. Sylvia doesn't need stats, but a magic sword will be somewhat good on her... maybe. Tiltyu x Levin - Same thing here. Holsety on Chapter 6, mounted Holsety by something like Chapter 8. Tinny is also really amazing but will probably get overshadowed by her brother. Briggid x Dew - This was just so that I can have Solar Sword on Patty. Personal preference, really. Faval and Patty are opposites, because Faval is always good, while Patty is decent at best.
  4. Something more specific? Like, two or three good dads?
  5. Hi guys. I need some advice on my FE4 pairings. I'm not very good at this game's pairing system, so I would like some help. The only ones I know I'll do are Levin x Tiltyu and Claude x Sylvia. I don't like playing with substitutes.
  6. Ok, so since Great Knights and Generals have the same weapons, I am going to give Gilliam the boots (this way I can also avoid horseslaying weapons). So Gilliam goes General. Btw, any ideas on supports? I can only think of Joshua/Natasha and Franz/Gilliam.
  7. Hi guys. I'm going to start an Eirika HM file soon, and I know what units I want to use... mostly. Btw, I don't think I will play Creature Campaign. The team is: Eirika (Great Lord) Ephraim (Great Lord) Joshua (Swordmaster) Gerik (probably Hero) Tana (Wyvern Knight, I like speed and Swords are not really the best weapons) Garcia (Warrior or Hero?) Innes (Sniper, main candidate for Metis' scroll) Lute (Sage? Some say Mage Knight is better for ingame purposes) Natasha (Bishop, because both her and Joshua have 6 Mov) L'Arachel (Mage Knight or Valkyrie?) Franz (Great Knight or Paladin?) Gilliam (General or Great Knight?) Now, my main problems are promotions. I must say, I don't think Bows will be that useful, so Innes will S-Rank for Nidhogg, but that is about it. So Garcia and Gerik are more leaning towards Hero. Also, I still have to decide about Lute, L'Arachel, Franz and Gilliam. The last thing is supports. Any ideas? As a last thing, I don't want to grind so that the game is somewhat challenging.
  8. Can anyone explain what the basics of this "metagame" (assuming someone still plays Awakening)are and what things are good in it (classes, skills, ...)?
  9. I have two MUs. Lord is male and Lyla is female (as you probably could guess) LORD Personality: Out of the two, Lord is more calm and collected, and cares a lot for his family. He despises King Garon and as such, he decides to side with Hoshido (Birthright) or wants to stop the war entirely (Revelation). Trivia: His scar was accidentally made by Xander during a sparring session. Waifu: Selkie (Birthright), Ophelia (Revelation) Class: Swordmaster LYLA Personality: Lyla, instead, is brave, but not reckless. She firmly believes that her actions will play a big part in putting an end to the war. While she also despises King Garon, she sides with Nohr because well... We all know why. Trivia: She fell in love with Gunter when she was seven, after accidentally kissing him. Husbando: Gunter (Conquest), Ryoma, Lobster Lord and High Prince of Hoshido (Revelations) Class: Nohr Noble (story), Hoshido Noble (PvP) Btw, I still have to play BR with Lyla and Conquest with Lord, so they lack one waifu/husbando. I consider Lyla's canon husband to be Gunter.
  10. I would. Now, we do have third tier promotions for most "common" classes, like Myrmidons. The problem would be adding the branching factor. It would be more doable if promotions were shared (like both Knights and Cavaliers promoting to Great Knights). About this one, I would call them Iron Knights, as in TearRing Saga and FE4 Binary, because I feel like Great Knights and Duke Knights were too much of a cool concept to pass up. Here are some ideas: Myrmidon: promotes to either Swordmaster or Samurai (new class). Swordmaster: "A swift master of the blade. Specializes in fast blows." Samurai: "An armored warrior who can use both swords and lances." Samurai is like a more balanced, armored-type Swordmaster. It can wield both Swords and Lances. Let's say Skills work like in Awakening and Fates. Myrmidon: Duelist's Blow (Lv. 1, grants Avoid +30 when initiating battle) Vantage (Lv. 10, always initiates battle when below half HP) Swordmaster: Falling Rain (Lv. 5, attacks twice when initiating battle) Sword Mastery (Lv. 15, Str/Mag +5 when equipped with a sword) Samurai: Thundering Roar (Lv. 5, Weapon Might is doubled when initiating battle) Warrior's Pride (Lv. 15, Damage +5 when enemy's HP are higher or equal to this unit's, -5 otherwise) Swordmaster can promote to either a Trueblade or an Hermit. Trueblade: "Humans as fast as the wind who have mastered the art of the sword." Hermit: "Lone wolves who live far away from the people to hone their blade skills." Trueblade Mastery Skill: Astra (Skill% chance of landing 5 attacks at half damage) Hermit Mastery Skill: Illusory Fox (Permanent Avoid +30 and Dodge +15)
  11. Oh ok then I'm just stupid. Stopped at Ch. 19 to get all the kids.
  12. Hey guys. A couple of days ago I unlocked the Lv3 Fire Orb and Hot Spring. For some reason, after the following battle I was able to get Flora, but I thought that I would get Izana after the next battle... Well, it didn't happen. Is this normal?
  13. Can anyone recommend a build for Kaze!Shigure!Kana then? Using the +Spd, -Def Corrin of course.
  14. Well, for starters I would like: - Midori as something that is not a Miracle-tank - Ophelia will be marrying Ignatius (maybe) if made a critbot, for Wary Fighter this is not my other Rev file (where she is my waifu), this is something I could live with. - Dwyer as a staffbot. He can be given any mother that is left. - Some way to remedy Asugi's bad Spd, such as a mother with high Spd (like Charlotte) or a role/build/class he doesn't need Spd for (he can A+ Ignatius/buy Wary Fighter for that) - Units that are versatile (staffbots are excluded). I dislike "pairup mules". If possible, I would like my units to be usable (for example, Siegbert should be usable as a combat unit, while I see him nearly always as a pairup-bot) - Ignatius has natural access to Wary Fighter, so I'd like to make him the ultimate tank with things like high Str, Def and possibly Skl, Wary Fighter (of course), Pavise, Aegis, and stuff like that. - Selkie is a born dodgetank. I will have my Logbook Setsuna!Selkie!Kana from Hoshido in case, so there's that, but as a female Corrin I'd like to have as many breakers I need on her as possible - Last (and hopefully least) Kana and my Avatar. They have access to whatever role I want, but I prefer glass cannons, as they're the funniest to use. So: high Str/Mag, enough avoid to make up for their Def and Res... Classes I like are Witch, Swordmaster, Spearmaster, Master Ninja, Berserker, and all of those with high offensive stats. I have no real preferences for the 1st gen pairings, because this is my optimized playthrough. I've listed what kind of builds i'd like to use on various children. Hope this will help and forgive me if I'm not accurate, this is my first time ever trying an "optimized" playthrough.
  15. Hey guys. I just started my second Revelation Hard/Classic playthrough. This time, I want to optimize my pairings. As you read in the title, she's Female Corrin, with Spd as her boon and Lck as her bane and the Lancer talent (probably my favourite talent and the one I've found to be the most useful alongside Ninja). I know I should be more specific: I want all my children to be the best they can be without messing up any other child (in case, you can mess up Dwyer, I don't care about him). The only thing I ask of you is to NOT pair my Avatar up with my least favourite characters in the entiretu of Fates, those being Azama, Jakob and Dwyer. I'm currently on Chapter 9, and I have unlocked the S support between Lyla (Corrin) and Jakob, but I won't do that. I can do whatever you suggest. I'm asking: - 1st gen pairings - 2nd gen pairings (possibly with A+ supports included) That's it, I guess. If you want, you can also suggest a build or simply a class that will go well with that specific character (Corrin being possibly included).
  16. Holy shit, you played Bravely Default? You're great man, welcome to the community. Joking aside, welcome!
  17. I'm going to start working on my hack, Hunger for Power, pretty soon. Check out its topic if you wanna know more about it.
  18. I haven't had time to start working on this yet. My computer is a bit old but I should get a new one in a week or two. If everything goes according to plan, I'll start working on HfP by the end of June.
  19. Is sending Odin alone to the west a good idea? I mean, He only has to fight a couple Oni Savage at about 2 HP (Nyx weakened them with the Fire Orb), but still... He's alone because all of my other units are busy doing something. What about sending Selena to help him choke as soon as she arrives?
  20. A town near Milan, Italy. A good place. Too bad FE is so unpopular in Italy
  21. Hey guys. I need some advice on how to beat Chapter 10 in Hard Conquest. I'm having a lot of trouble getting past the first few turns. Moreover, it's getting really frustrating as just one missclick can cost the entire run. Not to mention the stupid 91-92% misses my units are getting. Is there anything I can do or I need to just pay a lot of attention. Last, is Ch. 10 the hardest in Conquest? I hope so, but I have a feeling that I'll be really satisfied when I clear it. It's not nearly as boring as, say, Arcadia from FE6. I can provide additional details if needed (I already watched Mangs' guide to Chapter 10 and it's made my life a little bit easier, but I still have some problems)
  22. You know what is funny? One of my ideas for an hack was a Tellius sequel. The idea was born out of Ashunera's sentence: "War is starting to shroud the world again." or something like that. Doesn't mean I will never do it, though. I guess Hunger for Power first means I'll be more experienced by then
  23. Serra is on my mind, as always.

  24. 'Kay then. I'll go for Reaver tomes (probably one of each, making them even more valuable), and make them buna le in a secret shop or something like that. I do have some ideas.
