  1. My arena experience with her is that I never see her. But when I do, Reinhardt sends her into the next dimension. I was more annoyed that their was another red unit in her focus. With little fan fare; not the biggest of surprises.
  2. I want items & equipment damn it. Something that can help me when I'm playing the game instead of glorified participation ribbons.
  3. Maybe if I join team Ryoma, he'll come to me; worked for Hector, bad IV's aside. But fucking Karel. Joining Amelia in a heartbeat if Ryoma loses and she wins her round.
  4. I've played all the way through FE 7 & 8; I do not get the hype for the magic triangle. It doesn't help that Light magic is awful without slayer and nothing but enemy monsters. You don't get many dark mages (only 1 in Fe7); and Anima mages like Pent were so good... fuck a triangle. Maybe it's because I'm use to games without it, but my play-style didn't change in regard to using magic in games with it.
  5. Character: As much as Sacred Stones tries its hardest to make Ephraim look cool; I ate it up, I feel for it. Game-play: Corrin, even without re-classing; I think their base class has very good utility. Can be both a good offensive unit and a good support unit.
  6. Keep at least one version of the character for my collection, my Arvis, Camus and Xander are 5 star and the rest are 4 star. Xander is a staple on my horse team so he gets used the most. My Cecilia replaced Camus at the moment. I might promote someone else to 5 star in the future, no hurry to do so.
  7. There's other stuff in life to get worked up about so in the grand scheme of things, this is utterly irrelevant. It's comedic how people will but so much effort (essay length posts) into telling you why their subjective opinion is the correct opinion. And their are those people who with death on a fictional character; acting like they murdered their families, it's borderline sad to behold.
  8. Game-play: Eliwood For being so mediocre, he excels at nothing. It makes me not want to re-play Eliwood mode because he's a forced deployment for the entire game. Character: Alm/Chrom For having nothing interesting to them and to me that worst thing in a character.
  9. If your friend is interested in Conquest, then try Birthright first, the tutorials do a good job of explaining mechanics in short sentences. If for an older game then Sacred Stone because I find Blazing Sword/Blade's tutorial insultingly hand-holding. Start on the lower difficulty to get more familiar with the game (know what you are getting yourself into) before jumping to higher difficulties.
  10. Playing my Pokemon Moon wonderlocke, the ghost trail (the abandon super-market), that mimikyu hits hard. But it's most boss fights that get me; as they should.
  11. Just notice how most of Gaiden's features didn't return in future games and the lack of people going on about before Echoes was announced with, "I sure hope they bring back magic costing HP". And truth be told, all the unique stuff about Gaiden is nothing overly special in gaming in general. And Gaiden/Echoes doesn't do them well to be blunt. I wouldn't call Genealogy much of a divergence of the formula because the features like skills and weapon triangle that are very relevant to this day.
  12. I live in Canada and our Thanksgiving was weeks ago, I want to say back on the 9th of October. And here it isn't that much of a big deal when compared to the U.S.A. Feels more like an excuse to have a long weekend in October; like Family Day in February.
  13. Maybe it's because I've been switching people around for Hero Merit, at the 5 battle lunatic; I found it to be a decent challenge. I made back the feathers I used to promote a 3 star Hinata; so I'm going to have fun when my Arvis becomes 5 star.
  14. Insert comment about Sacred Stones banner with Lute, Joshua and L' Arachel (for some reason) here. But seriously, I would love a banner with Lute, Joshua, Cormag and Natasha. I actually wouldn't mind a FE 6 banner with Sue, Dorothy, Alan, and Rutger. A Conquest banner with Charlotte (I'm a bit salty that my favourite character was regulated to a seasonal banner with shitty art), Benny, Keaton (I think it's time for some beast units in this game), and Nyx. A Birthright banner with Rinkah, Kaze, Hayato, and Kaden. A theme banner like the first two with Leif, Nanna, Micaiah, and Sothe. I've been playing a bit of Hector mode and a banner with Oswin, Kent, Sain, Dorcas would be cool. What I think they'll do, I have no idea.
  15. Unit-wise: Henry- I like Henry but my god he's useless, nothing resembling an attack stat. Caeda- That low attack stat again. Insert Healer Here not named Genny- Self Explanatory. Art-wise: Lloyd looks like Dolph Lundgren's meth head twin. Not a fan of Chrom's, Male Robin's, Ogma's, Jagen's, Luke's, and Eliwood's art
  16. The taguel class was a glorified beast killer (the weapon) in class form with skills that are pretty useless elsewhere. Kitsune can be pretty decent magic tanks but the Wolfskin more physical bulk and higher strength I found to be more useful. Velouria is always my go to unit when I play Conquest.
  17. If they put another red sword as a focus in Ayra's banner, especially an older unit (I would love Eldigan, I don't have an Eldigan, I want an Eldigan) I would see no issue; as is I don't feel like pulling from the Tempest Trail banner (flashbacks of pulling for Celica, gets Gray). I'm more disappointed Arden is the Tempest Trail reward; he's a good player phase unit and all, but to me feels underwhelming (at least he isn't Clive or Tobin). As well as having Arvis as my bonus unit, he's really good; even at 4 star. But 20% doesn't make me feel super excited about this Tempest Trail. I miss the mini ones, I wouldn't mind those coming back.
  18. I would normally say that I'm getting nobody. But then I remembered I got Seliph and Julia pretty quickly in their first banner, hopefully it's the same again.
  19. Best Story: None of the above, I go by cast and I like Fates the most Best Game play: Conquest by far. I But I like all three routes. Worst Story: Awakening, I hate the set up, all three arcs dull and some of the worst time traveling story elements. It doesn't help that I don't particularly care for both Chrom and Robin (regardless of gender). Worst Game play: Echoes, I found the RPG elements to lacking in comparison to games that are designed to traditional RPGs. More often than not the rewards aren't worth it. The fatigue system to be a waste of programming and the more traditional Fire Emblem elements to be such a tedious chore. Cantors are just obnoxious and with how EXP gain is handled; using them for grinding isn't worth it.
  20. Chrom: Sumia because I really don't like the both of them and sheer laziness. Not reading their supports (I'm programmed to press that start button in a heartbeat) makes it go easier. Lucina: Inigo because I've seen fan-art I've liked of them and her Gerome supports I feel are a cure for insomnia. Robin: This made me realize how little I re-play Awakening. I never done any child units. But I like Female with Gaius and the Male with Tharja.
  21. Replaying Lyn's Mode recently, it's long (if you don't press the start button on the story portions), but easy enough that you can go through it relatively quickly. The thing I hated the most was the game forcing units into doing certain actions. It could be because I know what I was doing before I played (FE 7 was not my first Fire Emblem) but it's stuff like that doesn't make me excited to play her mode on normal. I liked how in Awakening and Fates the tutorial was relegated to very short slides on the bottom screen. They were short, sweet and straight to the point. I would like the tutorials to be short, sweet and straight to the point.
  22. I have: Camus (FE1/2/3/11/12/15) Julia (FE 4) Reinhardt (FE 5) Ike (FE 9/10) Azura (FE 14) Xander (FE 14) With Genny (2787), Ephraim (2786) and Olivia (2576) being closet to max.
