You don't need pharmaceutical companies to fund you, you can set up your own company easily to manufacture the drug. Pharmaceutical companies may not be wanting to invest into you, but there's more than enough other places to go to (government, cure cancer funds, investment societies, you name it) for that. Cancer is cause of death no.1 in my country, if there really were a panacea for cancer like this those would immediately jump on it. Furthermore, that article is from 2007. This is 2011. Science moves. I look up just the wikipedia article and read that all this hype was based on the results of some goddamn simple in vitro tests. Excuse me if I'm not interested in such a hollow claim. They've now done an in vivo test on 5 patients and one of them died after three months. In tests on mice it shows it will actually help the cancer in certain cases. You're overhyping the shit out of it AND you're grossly outdated.

OK I checked and everyone has responded. 6 people have more or less stated they'll play a card to pass the skill check. I'd like to know of Eclipse what she intends to do with her LEA card(too bad she went to bed?) Assuming an average value of 3 per LEA card played, we are now sitting at an average confirmed total of 18LEA. I'm getting the feeling that without Eclipse's help on this our Cylon brothers can easily sabotage us this early in the game. EDIT: made a correction, 6/7 people have stated they'll play their card.

Good morning everyone! I've been thinking we can qualitative claims about the cards we play for the crises, so can we use the following system to indicate what each card you're playing is worth? Good = worth 5 points or higher Average = 3-4 points Low = 1-2 points

Considering everything up till now I'm going to assume most played cards will have an average worth of 3-4(at least for now). So I can assume we're not yet near the 14 check. I'll play a card to help reach the goal.

Righto. Does this mean then that everyone has 2 actions at the end of the month? And how do character skill ratings come into play? And do they affect what kind of skills you can draw, or is that randomized?

way2stillbeconfusing Question: How are skills going to be used? I'm currently assuming you have a base set of skills, and draw skill cards that add to a certain skill when played so your character can pass a certain skill check?

Here's the lab first FINDING A SOLUBILITY PRODUCT Problem: What is the solubility product constant of lime water (calcium hydroxide)? Materials: evaporating dish 0.1 M HCl saturated solution of calcium hydroxide plastic transfer pipets phenolphthalein solution stirring rod Procedure: 1. Fill a pipet with the saturated calcium hydroxide solution. 2. Add 50 drops of the solution to a clean dry evaporating dish. Hold the pipet at the same angle for consistent drop size. 3. Add two drops of phenolphthalein to the solution in the evaporating dish. (Phenolphthalein turns pink in basic solutions) 4. Fill a pipet with 0.1 M HCl. CAUTION: Be careful when handling acids. 5. Add the acid to the evaporating dish, stirring continuously. Count the number of drops it takes for the pink color to disappear. Record the number of drops needed in the data table. 6. Rinse out the evaporating dish and repeat steps 2-5 for a total of three trials. Data collected Drops of HCl used: Trial 1 - 20 Trial 2 - 21 Trial 3 - 21 Analysis and Conclusions 1. The accepted value for the Ksp(at 25 degrees C) is 6.5 * 10 (to the -6 power) Some answers, though I won't explain them(I sometimes had to guess what they really wanted me to do, honestly): 1. Ca(OH)2 --H2O--> Ca2+ (aq) + 2 OH-(aq) 2. (20+21+21)/3 = 20.667 3. M(HCl) * V(HCl) = M(OH-) * V(OH-) 0.1 * 2.0667 = X * 50 X = 0.0413M 4. 0.0413/2 = 0.020667M 5. 0.020667M (Molarity of Ca(OH)2 is equal to the molarity of Ca2+ in the solution I suppose) The rest of them, ugh. I'll look over them tomorrow. I've never enjoyed equilibrium calculation and I haven't done them in years.
