  1. oh my gosh miiverse is SO SLOW i can't believe people take screenshots this way with cfw is there any way to play my digital fates with hans, that'd make life easier anyway if i don't need to do anything extra with my .romfs since idk what to do with this file
  2. But most units don't have activation skills? And this isn't RD, activation skills tend to be much weaker than crits, they can just have more varied effects. I don't need ideas for fists, the class came about from the weapons rather than the class itself.

(erm just popping in to clarify, Lancer is a class, it's The Blind Archer's version of Halberdier, it's a bit more mage-killer-y but not as fast) Also dracophobe sounds more like a name of a skill that makes you weak to dragons, like you get an avoid penalty if a dragon unit is within a couple spaces.

  9. Personally I don't think replayability should be requisite for RFI-IV but in the future it might at least be a thing people might at least want to think of for what makes something fun.

  11. Just something I heard from someone, while it's not as offensive a class, WL's bow weakness lets you ping her with a ballistician to instantly activate skills.

I thought Enderslicer's Escape was really neat and a possible contender for Strategist, though it's less strategy than puzzle which Marc generally likes less in a Ragefest and that probably didn't help, nor the fact that the game was a little on the empty side and didn't have much to make it super memorable...
  13. Actually I ended up just using ctrtool and now I have what look like all the files? Including some pure .aac and .json files so I'm pretty sure I did it right so now uhhhh I thought I'd heard of some nightmare modules, I think I even downloaded them on another computer but I can't find them? Since if I remember them right it honestly sounds easiest to just make the handful of support tweaks myself than use the actual Gay Hack. Though so on that note, it seems like it'll take a little more than notepad to change the script files... (I'll leave it at that much for now doop) (EDIT: never mind found the modules uhhhh will update in a bit I guess) EDIT2: nevermind the nevermind lol okay I think I'll end up NTR'ing the gay hack I can't find where the support data is but for now then I still don't know how to handle the script files and also the other thing I wanted to do was changing the models and possibly battle sprites associated with certain characters, maybe forcing them in a similar way to Azura using her Songstress model in any class a while back? (didn't even need ntr for gay hack I thiiink? I just plopped the relevant files where they should go in game data. Haven't gone to recompile yet, want to at least do the text editing) (okay I went ahead and just for testing I rebuilt the .romfs but it's still un-HANS-able (so I wonder what about screenshots...) and since I couldn't use the tools in the linked tutorial I don't have a separate exefs or header, so....
  14. No lol it's really no problem it's just that we've hit the point where there are more ideas that there's even space to use so it's kinda tough for me to figure out how to balance what to accept.
  15. Hmm nope... Just to make sure, was I supposed to do anything with Setup, which didn't seeeem to do anything, or CleanTool? And when I'm running it, do I want to decompress code.bin? I always try both, but just to make sure.

Okay so like the thing with weapons, the reason I'm not as accepting of them as with other things like skills, is that I really don't want to add a lot of weapons--I estimate I'll be up to adding up to about 30 new weapons. TOTAL. That means 6 of each general type, minus the S rank so 5. Maybe less. That's not a lot to have redundant weapons, because I don't like redundant weapons since they increase the mental load on the player for inventory management, which is getting enough extra stuff with held items. I know there are some people who in their hacks use the virtual armory as how they increase complexity, but since weapons are a shared resource, I really want to make them as manageable as possible, and characters are what's unique. ...That said, when it comes to characters, sprites are just as, if not more important than, uh, pretty much anything else lol and I do feel like people aren't valuing them as such like I do. I say this not really directed at anyone but I also put up a reddit post earlier and like the general sense I get from here and there is one where ideas are king, and while ideas are great, there's a limit to how much I want to add in a lot of areas.
  17. Hmm, Pack Hack is actually on my desktop but I just went and ran both as Admin and Admin on JP locale, it says the extraction is successful but no dice with actually creating files, unless they show up elsewhere?
  18. Ewan has Aptitude which is basically the same thing Unsure about Zero Divider but I wonder if I could make a personal skill that basically simulates movement stars, obviously not a common thing.
  19. Sure to the skills I suppose I still need to add to the list Brave magic *shrug* if I can get some animations but I'll really have to prioritize with what resources I've got. Personally I don't care whether it's enemy fliers or all fliers in that I'm not balancing skills now so trying to make something set in stone will only be a waste of effort since I'll rebalance later And yeah double braver is lol

Yeah sorry after my first experience with homebrew it doesn't even matter how easy something is, I always have to make absolutely 100% sure about what I'm going to do ^^; Speaking of which, I'm trying to follow the extraction tutorial, I have on my computer PackHack folder containing fef.cia after I ran Decrypt9 and CleanTool, HackingToolkit3DS, and SetupUS. I run HackingToolkit3DS, whether I choose ciae or cia, whether or not I decompress code.bin, no files are generated.

Monster-sealing could be neat, might take some balancing but yeah A sword that prevents doubling could actually be neat since most swordies are fast so this helps those who aren't have more value in swords I wouldn't call those comparable stats, Steel Blade has a tiny bit more might but way worse hit, weight, crit, and status-curing weapons could be useful. Weapons with use effects in general, though... I actually don't know if they're implemented, will ask.

  23. Okay I thiiink I got it. So since I'm deleting my downloaded Fates anyway, is there any disadvantage to downloading the special edition rather than Birthright now? Since that seems to be the most common. Yeah I've heard of the NTR approach, I've thought about getting NTR though I'm unsure what exactly that would entail since apparently NTR is deprecated now

Yeah I might just make a CIA with my changes, I can only think of a few I want and I'm definitely going to be asking about the specifics of them but for now I'm looking at the linked tutorial and it says I need A CIA untouched/cleanand idk what that means? Do I just make an empty file fe.cia? Or is there something I need to find/make?
  25. I just redownloaded the starter pack and didn't see any braindump version? And the most recent github commit I can see is from February and still says 9.6-crypto can't be handled by it? But okay decrypt9 I have, so I'm looking through its menus and uhhhh idk what to do lol
