  1. I think Saleh is pretty solid as a prepromote unit - which means if you don't want to bother training Ewan from scratch or trained Lute and Arthur, Saleh is pretty solid unit. However, putting this equal (all in the same level and promoted), I think the other three had some winning edge over Saleh? Can't say much on stat wise though. (I mean, for example, everyone basically said that Colm is pretty weak but in my game Colm had a whopping 17str right after promoted, so...)
  2. I usually go for the usual ones *perhaps boring though* : Colm/Neimi, Seth/Eirika, Amelia/Franz, Arthur/Lute, Joshua/Natasha, Gerik/Marisa...although I did this purely without counting the support effects though.
  3. I prefer to promote Cormag first, just because he is much more durable than Tana. He can take a few round barraged by archers in my game, which is pretty handy.
  4. Storyline wise, I did prefer Eirika's route a bit; just because it's a better transition from the main storyline. But subjectively, Ephraim's route > any route in FE8 because Ephraim > all. And ransacking the whole capital with a few people compared to playing messenger? Yeah. But my natural first choice when I first played the game is Eirika's route though.
  5. Chapter 31+ basically are Silesia arc huh. Thank you so much for the chapter! Keep up the good work.
  6. Yes, it works, and yes, as the above people said, you can always abandon the castle - but I manage to repel them without leaving the castle sometimes. Use Fin to lure out the enemies bit by bit and weaken them (he can sometimes oneshot the weaker enemies) - and get Leaf to help finish them. If Leaf has the Light Sword, you can basically take some range and weaken those SwordArmors. Have Nanna help too if she was decently equipped (I think she inherited Earth Sword, which sometimes I use when she got low health so she can heal while attacking - although most of the time the damage is not very good), but mainly use her to heal.
  7. Fin and Nanna too? HOW COME? Do you pretty much always leave them unused or something? Because my Fin was one of my versatile unit as he dodges like crazy, and there's also brave lance. And Nanna too, though it depends on her father, but still...
  8. If you keep having difficulty in keeping things alive, always use the lure and draw tactics. Yes, it's slow, but it's safe. Have your mounted units that can withstand some damage to move to the front line, and retreat bit by bit, then ambush. Once you get to spam some exp with healing/teleporting trick, you no longer need to use this tactic. Faring in arena helps as well - use the changing weapon trick to help chances of winning. As above posters had said, FE4 shouldn't come as difficult if you know what are you facing and do the right preparation and tactics. I found that only the first chapter is difficult. Of course, assuming you play in emulator you really should spam the save state reload stuff.
  9. Thank you so much for the new chapter! I'm glad you're well now :D
  10. It's gonna be epic; I've read that chapter in manga and it's a total squee chapter. There's a lot of epic chapters in the manga recently, so the new season is gonna be really awesome~

  11. Valkyria Chronicles (heart)

  12. The 2nd OP is...Kaze no Gotoku, right? LOL it was like, semi Naruto-parody XDD The newest OP, Kato Nyago is pretty good in quality, with Light Infectionish feeling~ Anyway, there's a trailer already for the anime in April, if you haven't known :D

  13. There's no sub for Yorinuki since basically it's a rerun of old episodes, but people usually post the new OPs/EDs. Try youtubing them, the recent OP/ED animation quality's has been upped a notch!

  14. To be honest RE4 is what makes me become less interested in RE fandom anymore. Sure, the gameplay improved lots, but I feel it's missing the elements from the original REs...and I kinda miss playing RE games which were set in the night. Trivial matter yeah, but still.
  15. Ah yep, I've heard about that. And plus I'm expecting an improvement in quality, since Yorinuki's quality (especially the OPs/EDs) is top notch~ plus I'm waiting for the movie to be subbed :D

  16. That's happening to me too most of the times - for me, it was because I spent too much time pairing up other characters particularly those with small time frame like FinxLachesis. By the time I get Lachesis I glued those two together and spent the turns either idling or doing something, and in the end of chapter 2 Aira usually already gotten in relationship ;_;. I guess just like pitbuller26 said, keep Ayra away from any men, until like, late chapter 2 or early chapter 3...
  17. Eh, I think you don't need to split up that much. The big maps never bother me, and I rarely split the groups unless, say, one of my castle is attacked or I need to speed up fast to reach a certain character/castle. Naturally you'll be split into groups only because the infantries' moves are less than horse units, but that's that. My advice is, don't let the big maps bother you And about the pairings, as above people had said, random pairings will probably be okay, but it wouldn't hurt to try get some infos about the pairings. Getting a few broken characters in the next gen will help quite much to speed things up :D
  18. Late reply, sorry. Gintama fan too? :D

  19. Eh, I think stats don't really help for the children? Sure, they got some tidsy-bitsy boost of starting stats, but it wasn't that significant? For children, since you can't alter Leaf and Altenna's skills, probably you can do is to make sure to have both Cuan and Ethlin stocked with necessary weapons to pass down to the kids (at the very least, Light Sword for Leaf) before Chapter 3 ends. Spamming with Return Staff is the quickest way to spam exp for staff user. I think there's one chapter that will require you to teleport the majority of characters to base castle - I got my Aideen from level 10 to whopping level 20ish in this one chapter. Jamka is easily one of the broken character early in the game simply because of his Killer Bow. Lex too, most of the times, because of the Hero Axe and huge defense. As I wrote above, sometimes changing weapons in Arena from stronger weapon to a lighter weapon does help. This is how I clear arena with Fury - initially she's a bit weak, even with Hero Lance (at least in my game), so sometimes I switch her weapon with Slim Lance that has fewer Might but much lighter that she survives most of the arena by dodging.
  20. I guess the best option for you now is to hurry getting Aideen to be in love with someone (Midir, Jamka, etc, your choice). It might do you some good to plan the pairings early in the game. You'll get another female characters soon (Ayra, Lachesis), so my advice is just hang in there a bit more. As for underleved/overleveled, my guessing is Lex and Sigurd are the ones that're overleveled? Try to level up the weaker characters a bit in Arena (sometimes changing weapons works well for me in difficult rounds). If you're the type to spend lots of turns in each chapter, maybe try to do some extra healings for Aideen (so she can get some exp), cornering an enemy with some weak characters, etc etc while having the overleveled characters on standbye, or if things got worse, have them charge at the boss/powerful units.
  21. Midir does lags behind Jamka a way lot, but as the many people said, Midir makes a pretty good father for Aideen's kids (especially Lester). Jamka still makes Lester good (as I do JamkaAideen to in my game) if you don't mind sacrificing Pursuit. Try to get Midir promoted to make a better use of him, I guess. For Lex and Sigurd, if your other party members are underleveled much below them, stop getting kills for them. Instead, use them to weaken the enemies so the weaker units can get kills. Or you can just use them to charge ahead for the bosses. As for Diadora...her suckiness is given. Just...let her stay in the castle (at least she's useful for giving Ethlin's the Light Sword.) Sylvia is not designed for fighting, of course. Why bother put her in front lines to attack while you can make her refresh four units at once? Dew is generally sucking early on, but if you can get him promoted he'll be much better unit. I never promote him though, since it's too much pain for me.

    Twilight

For me, I guess Twilight is not my cup of tea. This series kind of ruin the vampire image for me -these days I'm really hesitant to pick up newly written Vampire/Werewolf themed books because most of them just follow the Twilight!vampire trend. The first book is okay, but the series went downhill after that. And I cringe everytime I see a review that highlights Bella as a strong heroine (blah).
  23. I read and watch a lot, especially Seinen/Shounen series (with some shoujo exceptions). Currently hooked with Until Death Do Us Part, a seinen manga, which is about a blind swordsman kicking ass in modern days underworld and precognitive-12-year-old girl. Definitely not loli manga, though (even far from it).
  24. ^ I think that's the same case with me too, with Finn x Lachesis I forgot giving Delmud a decent sword at the beginning. In my first game, I thought Delmud will be the one who inherits Silver Sword instead of Nanna, but strangely it ends up at Nanna, leaving Delmud with pitiful weapons... Prayer!Delmud dodges like almost everytime, making him very useful in luring enemy (plus, put him in forest terrain for extra dodge). Though Delmud takes hit pretty hard though. Prayer!Nanna helps her to survive alot during chapter 7.
  25. I'm afraid of any lifeforms that's similar to snake in anatomy. Worms, caterpillars ,snakes, eels - you name it. I'm fine with cockroaches, bugs, but just not these. Ugh.
