And the banner is only Oliver, Meg, and Fiona. And you only get 1 star versions of them every time you pull from that banner. Top that. But seriously, that'd be a cool banner theme.

I've finally finished the cavalry quest. Holy crap that was annoying. I started to hate Frederick, but in a completely different way. He was the only cavalier left so I had to use him. But he keeps getting destroyed by mages which ruined a lot of my runs had he not been in the way. And I can't put him into a corner every time. This. Too much Eldigan. One thing I hate the most, anyone with Wing of Mercy or Escape Route. Frederick and Eldigan might be bad enough but believe me when I say that I cannot stand those skills. Then again, it was my fault for not paying more attention. Completely underestimated the tenth stratum sometimes.

It's nice to see you finally starting to understand and I wish you the best of luck for the future and hope you pull Ike once he releases. Seriously hope you and shadowofchaos become good friends too. Even if you don't like some characters, they aren't bad. I'm sure you can understand that without me needing to give you an example. Heck, it also works the complete opposite (in which those characters are not as good compared to others). But don't let that (tier list) crush your dreams, you have Frederick. Show other players that Frederick can be awesome! I have him and he's certainly proving to be helpful for my lunatic quests. Overall, there is no bad character, but there is also no good character either despite there being a tier list. It's as you said, each character fills a niche. Everyone has a strength, and everyone has a weakness. Perfect is not possible. You simply find a way to get better. And that way is to try every character (even if you think they're bad) and learn to train them more efficiently and find ways to make them more powerful (aka skill inheritance). I was gonna say that you probably can't beat the Michalis map at this point as you were struggling constantly, but I figured you were going to realize sooner or later. Glad to know you did. Boons and Banes mean absolutely nothing to me and so should you too. My Lucina is -SPD which sucks but I didn't let that ruin my determination. Lucina is still very good despite that bane (and even if she's top tier, that would be because of her speed). I would never replace that Lucina if I got a duplicate with a better boon/bane (just like I do with all my characters), heck that's actually better since I can merge them so she can perhaps gain more speed without me needing to train that duplicate. I'm not saying that you should keep one of every character (not unless your a collector like me). Rather, try to have more variety with your team. Have 2-4 of each weapon type/color, even if some are bad, at least you're prepared. And once you have another unit that you like, you can simply replace the other unit you don't like. Or use both if you like both of them. The option to send home characters is completely up to you. Just don't say that the reason you sent them home is because they're bad without even trying them. If you need any more help, just ask anyone here and they'll be glad to help, as long as you don't push them away. I learned that the hard way. TIP: As SOC said, reset the maps by surrendering on the starting stratum.

Yeah, I was a bit angry when I realized Sanaki was only there just so she can be Klein's fake sister, especially when they clearly could've had Clarine instead. I don't know what the developers were thinking but they sure like Sanaki if they included her despite her true sister not being included as well. I would die for Elincia right now despite her not have a sibling. I need her Amiti and staves too.

With a new focus banner (new characters) around the corner in 4 days, we should start predicting who it's going to be. Or hope if you want. Last time, the developer pulled a surprised and focused on one game (Blazing Sword) specifically rather than a theme (Sibling Bonds). Based on that, there are 3 options: 1. Go for another game focused banner 2. Go back to themes 3. Completely surprise us again and do neither With the first option, there are 3 games that I can think of that would fit during this moment. 1.a) Sacred Stones - Highest Priority. 1.b) Greil Mercenaries Part 1 - Only half of them. Most likely will exclude Ike for now until story update. 1.c) Mystery of the Emblem - At this point, I'm just hoping. With the second option, I can't really think of anything so if you have any, post them. One thing I can think of however is: 2.a) Parent and Child - Although unlikely since they're trying to hold off releasing children characters from Awakening and Fates, they can include more from Jugdral and Elibe. With the third option, what do you think they'll do with the next banner. Perhaps another story expansion with a bunch of new characters? I would like to know.

Very tempted to pull one last time since my focus rate is 5.50%. But I also want to save cause I feel like the next focus is gonna be good. Any ideas? Also finally managed to beat all the Lunatic quests. Except 9-5. Never 9-5.

I didn't watch that video until now and naturally assumed you need someone with an emerald axe. Then I realized there weren't any mages and Michalis had a higher defense and attack stat than I remembered. Whoops.

I thought you didn't want to promote anyone you didn't like. Unless you want one of your fliers to inherit his Iote's shield. I honestly also would have to agree with Ana in which it's not worth trying. I'm assuming that you'll have to go out of your way to inherit an Emerald Axe for Michalis. It's still doable due to his defense but still.

Oh ok. I suppose I can wait it out until then. Hopefully I don't do it again...

I mentioned already that I used up all my Light's Blessings. Anyways, I got super lucky with my choices and beat 9-3. Thanks to this vid... However, I see no reason how I can get pass 9-2. 9-3 was doable cause the cavaliers couldn't cross the trees. But for this map, I have a better chance with 2 Olivia's. Unfortunately, I only have one so I gotta work with what I have. It only gets more difficult since I need to bring a staff user too, even though I doubt they're gonna do much work. (Azama might help tho). Zephiel is my biggest concern since Retribution just ends one of my units. EDIT: @Kiran I did that monthly quest a long time ago. I really wish I didn't waste them like an idiot. XD

Sadly, Reinhardt gets dire thunder only at 5*. So that's not going to work. On the other hand, the Nino draw back idea does open up for some options. However, I'm also considering to use Olivia. She's just not strong enough to take on the enemies though.

Can anyone help me with the Lunatic quests? I'm trying to beat both 9-2 and 9-3 (no way on earth am I attempting 9-5). I've already beaten 9-1 and 9-4 but can never get around those two levels. Give me a moment. I will post my team. Keep in mind, I don't have any Light's Blessings (certainly wished that was a login bonus. Unlike a certain something *cough* dueling crests *cough*) EDIT: Here ya go. Minerva is the only one with inherited skills.

I read the above. Still don't completely understand since there's nothing. But I assume this is a competition. Your main priority is to take out the lance peg in the first turn as drag back is rather mean on this map. Narcian should be able to do that. Set up Subaki so he can take out the sword peg. And yes I agree, Takumi is not as useful since Michalis has some pretty big defense, so you'll want Tharja instead. I haven't check the map in a while but I actually blocked up the right side with my tanky Robin so the cavalier doesn't reach my other units in time to interfere. On the left side, the lance user will start rushing towards. You want to eliminate all fliers by the time he arrives (2 turns). My Robin was able to survive by then, so I managed to defeat the cavalier and the lance user on the same turn. The only concern is that your Robin is -HP. Overall: Narcian, Subaki, Tharja, Robin. And before you ask, I take no part in this bet but will gladly watch the loser get shamed on. Also my strat is probably the worse one. So...

I kinda wished we could've battled Michalis 4 times to get 4 copies. As broken as that might be, I'm starting to regret wasting his Iote's shield on Minerva (I really don't know what went through my mind when she had Life and Death). Next time, I think they should offer 3 difficulties, Normal (for 2*), Hard (for 3*), and Lunatic (for 4*). That'd be nice.

I wonder, what Hardin's class would be in this game? I'd assume he'd be a cavalier to avoid spoilers but at the same time, I loved his design in FE12 and also would love to see him wield the Gradivus. Either way, it'd be interesting to have him and Camus on the same team (whenever Camus is released anyways).

Any characters you think would benefit a lot with Renewal + Breath of Life + Reciprocal Aid? I'm considering Felicia since she already has Breath of Life. Is it even possible to run this skill set?
