It seems that not having played the tellius games has saved me from most of this dilemma, as I don't have any reason to save orbs. I mean, I'd love to play those games, but I can't find them anywhere, so I'm not inclined to save for them as I don't really know them that well.

I'm going to roll specifically for whatever colour Ninian is. Hope I can get her before the focus ends, unlike Eirika, who still hasn't shown up yet.

There's not much raging on Reddit right now though. Most of the teams are quite chill now that their fights are over. Ironically, it's a small minority of people on team Lucina who are being the saltiest right now due to some fanart (lightheartedly) depicting Lucina as the "villain" of the gauntlet. Gamefaqs is currently a salt mine though, but when is gamefaqs not salty?

I've had better success fighting Hectors with swordfighters than effective damage units as WTA reduces the damage they take. However, if you don't have any good swords then Frederick should still do quite well, as long as Hector attacks first.

We may have lost the finals, but we won the hearts of the community. I mean, look at all the fanart that the last fight created. And not all of team Chrom and Eirika jumped on the bandwagon. I've seen many people on this forum and others join us, despite knowing fully well that they would lose, just out of respect for the last fight.

Ranged enemies are usually frail enough that it doesn't matter, and I believe it still works on Takumi as he can counter at 1 range.

An alternative skill for Lyn is Brash Assault, which allows her to always double when below 50% HP. This helps if you were unlucky enough to get a -spd Lyn, or want to double other fast units. Also note that her built in desperation only activates when you initiate the attack The main use for putting vantage on 1-2 range units is for arena defense. Imagine fighting a full team of distant counter+vantage units. That would be really hard to beat without casualties.

Surprisingly enough, I've never pulled a Hinata despite how common he seems to be for everyone else. Not that I'm complaining.

Kent uses swords in the arena while Sain uses lances there instead. I've forgotten their starting weapon ranks but I'm pretty sure Kent mains swords and Sain, lances.

At the very least, my cumulative rank is still in the 500s. I suppose I'm may as well keep playing to keep that rank for the 3k feathers.

Well, almost no one here cares about the current score anymore, so I guess we're not really trying. Not like it matters anyways, as long as we're happy with the results.

It's probably because Takumi is a much more controversial character. He's liked more than Frederick, but hated more as well. Him being one of the few well written characters in fates and his story relevance also draws more attention to him.

I don't hate Lucina at all, and I honestly, I hope this event doesn't cause more people to hate her. I don't mind losing this round as it's only 500 feathers, and as a round 1 team Ephraim supporter, I have already gotten 1000 feathers through victory rewards. However, it's just not exciting to play when there's no risk of losing or no chance of winning. I'm only still playing for the rank rewards now. Hopefully they will give us better matchups next time. Also, some people earlier seem to have mistaken my post for salt. Well, I'm not salty in the slightest, the score was to be expected anyways.

Don't. We fought the best battles, earned our victories and actually had a lot of fun while doing it. Can team Lucina say the same? Everyone on team Ephraim right now knows what they signed up for, as Lucina already won before the gauntlet even began. Losing now means nothing to us. The fact that we made it to the finals, beating newer fan favourites along the way is good enough for us. Enjoy your free 500 feathers

They doubled the team rank rewards for the final round. Wow, I actually feel cheated here. If people had known this beforehand, we would have all saved our flags for the finals. This is actually terrible game design as it encourages bandwagoning and freeloading while those who helped carry the team through the first 2 rounds get punished for it. Good job IntSys.

The fight was rigged from the start. IntSys confirmed Lucina biased. Nah, someone probably managed to start a battle before the first update time, but I'm not sure how.
