4404 offense landed me at 19,462. Basically nothing different from the last 2 weeks. Breaking 4.5k seems like a long stretch away for me.

Your leader needs to be that character to get the bonus points though. Even if your ally is that character, you won't get the bonus as it's not yours. You can bring a triangle advantage character for easy wins, but you'll get less points out of it. Also, 30 minutes until it begins. Hype! There's also a new paralogue featuring the gauntlet heroes and Veronica!

Gauntlet starts 4h 15min from now I believe. (Which is 3pm where I live)

I've actually had more successful defences this week than last, with 5 compared to 2. Didn't switch up my team at all either.

Oboro's a good unit (I've used her before) but I think Nowi and Sharena are better candidates for promotion. (unless you really like Oboro, then go ahead, it's your game )

Alright, just going to stop you right there. The only way Leo can "destroy an entire team in 1 Attack" is to charge up a 5 turn special. Meanwhile, Ephraim has much more utility on a team due to being a blue unit. Not to mention, my +spd Ephraim ORKOs any Leo that isn't +spd as well. Also, being a day 1 unit means nothing at all if he was never a focus unit. I've seen almost 10x more Ephraims in the arena than Leos

But 3 Ephraims can beat a Hector. Praise moonbow and seal defense

Just successfully defended against a tiki led team for 273 points. With that kind of stat total, I honestly wonder how he lost to me.

There are also rewards for your ranking within your team, so having your team's character will get you a better rank in the team, and thus, better rewards as well.

Team Ephraim seems to be the most popular prince team on most sites, both English and Japanese. Looks like we're going to round 3 guys! Alfonse, Chrom and Leo stand no chance!

Maybe some people want to play the arena for other reasons than topping the ranks. The fact that most of us here can achieve high scores without fused SS tier units should show that we're not "bloody amateurs", thank you very much.

Keep in mind that in order to vote, you need to win first, and you need to use your team leader if you want those bonus points. So good luck to team Elise, it's not going to be easy for them. Also, Ephraim and Eirika performed much better than Leo and Elise on the popularity poll, so recency bias isn't going to save them. (Especially since long time Japanese fans are also participating in this)

Well, looks like the friend list finally has a use. Really excited for the event, but I'm expecting lots of salt when an awakening/fates character inevitably wins.

Don't. Unlike what some whales think, you don't need SS units to do well in the arena. Just because a unit requires half a brain to use well doesn't make it bad. The top ranks are usually filled with hackers and whales and their +10 units, which f2p players cannot compete with. My entire team consists of mostly "A-tier" units(completely subjective) and I can break 4.3k easily, and broke 4.4k this week. Make do with what you have, you don't need crutches to succeed in the arena. After all, this is a strategy game.

They're somewhat interchangeable as they serve different roles. Sometimes I wish I had equipped the other, but I usually just run galeforce. However, if your team doesn't have a dancer then Astra is probably better.

For defense, replace ryoma or lucina with a ranged unit or another blue like Abel. Two swords is not very good for defense.

The balancing factor of vantage is that you can avoid its effects by attacking at a range the enemy cannot counter at, but close/distant counter makes it impossible to avoid being hit twice if you don't ORKO them. I'm just hoping that they make counter + vantage an illegal skill combination.

Camus' stats are ridiculously good, if the leaked are true. I think cavalry teams will really start to shine once he's released. He even has goad cavalry. For those wondering what his stats are, someone on Reddit leaked them here:https://i.redd.it/nb78xo9xc6iy.jpg

Yeah, but keep in mind that on this team, Eliwood benefits from hone cavalry and goad cavalry for +10 Atk/Spd if I'm not wrong, so he should perform quite well with a good team comp such as this.
