  1. I made Lunatic work with Marth(I almost never use him otherwise), Nowi, Kagero and Takumi. I got Kagero to counter-OHKO the assassin at the bottom, then had Takumi take care of the other one at the top over 2 rounds. Meanwhile once the enemy teams broke down the walls, I placed Nowi just far enough that that red cavalry could reach her (She utterly destroyed him in a counter) and she also tanked a hit from Ursula while hitting back rather hard. I then used Kagero to finish off whatever life Ursula still had, and then there was only the armored unit left. Unfortunately space was so limited that I had trouble moving Nowi away from his path, but I used Marth's pivot to get him between them and slaughter the armor unit. Was a close call, as Kagero can only barely survive a hit at 1 HP and Takumi was in danger of being doubled if not for Marth's Spur Spd. Not having a non-Infantry 40 made this pretty troublesome in general...
  2. Yeah, I've seen a lot passive-aggressive remarks toward her. I can somewhat understand, as the Voting Gauntlet was more or less decided the instant she was one of its candidates. It deprived the other characters of a fair chance, and even I doubt her inclusion there was a good idea at all. But I really do love her and decided to support her even with all the vocal hate and the fact it was an easy mode out to the tournament. While I question her inclusion, I will side with her as long as she's there at all, and I'm pretty proud of that. I don't think it's a reason to dislike her at all, and it does please me a lot to see other Lucina supporters here. Same here, I hope it doesn't devolve into that. I can admit that her inclusion probably is rather unfair to everyone else, but it still hurts when people become overly harsh on her. And yeah, honestly speaking, I would give up 500 feathers in a heartbeat if I could be part of such a close and exciting match like you were. Of course I'd want to win, but having the satisfaction of knowing that blowing through my flags and spamming battles constantly were invaluable to my team's success is practically priceless. 500 feathers is something I can easily get anytime by scrapping three 3*s which are dirt common. Right now, I can put practically zero effort and never do a single battle, but still win overwhelmingly without the slightest fear of losing. It's hard to gain motivation and feel like I'm truly part of the team. You guys really did amazing, and I can definitely understand that sentiment of yours. (Supporting waifu takes precedence over an exciting battle for me, though) And don't worry, you didn't come off as salty. In fact I was the one worried that I was mistaken for looking down on Ephraim. EDIT: Also, I'd totally spend flags in the first two rounds if it would make the difference in whether my team wins or not. Especially if it was Tiki, I'd blow everything without the slightest concern about my rank or rewards.
  3. Thanks! You're actually a pretty good sport about it. I would say Lucina did earn her victory through her own popularity, since that is explicitly one of the factors involved here, but it's true you guys got the best battle. Even I'm a tad bit jealous about that. Chrom vs Ephraim really blew away all expectations, and I applaud you all for that. I do want Lucina to win no matter what, and in a way I'm glad she's doing so well, but it is rather dull that no one can challenge her. I was hoping for a slightly better match where me playing every 30 minutes and spending flags would make a meaningful difference, but alas that's not happening. It doesn't really feel as engaging as the match you had, where I checked your scores every hour. So in a way, you guys are the true winners. But I signed up on Team Lucina not because I want free feathers, but because I legitimately like her. The 500 free feathers are nice yes and I will totally enjoy them, but I can confidently say I would be here regardless of whether she was the most popular or the least popular. I'm glad she's winning and it's much better than seeing her lose, but I will admit there's a lack of satisfaction in an effortless victory. I want to support her, and I'm pretty happy over here, but you guys did get my blood flowing for a bit with that match. I felt bad for Ephraim because I really did wish we could have a more exciting match (That wasn't sarcasm, I legit feel that way).
  4. Shh, don't let them on to me. It's state secret. Meanwhile, I almost feel bad for Ephraim now.
  5. I'd assume a combination of both. Only one person in the world managed it, so it probably took the right combination of rapid button spamming and momentary technical gaps to achieve this outcome. Most likely, someone somehow got past the "calculating..." screen by chance while trying to get in repeatedly, which is the most plausible scenario in my head.
  6. Most likely, some innovative genius managed to sneak one battle in before the timers were supposed to start ticking. It's not like 100 really matters in a match where literally billions of votes are counted, though.
  7. That's kind of unfair considering she has connections and can call up Mewtwo from Smash Bros.
  8. I like to think IS would merge the two teams together and set them on Team Lucina because there's no other way for a close final round otherwise.
  9. Well it's over now. Congratulations to whoever turns out to be the winner. Both Team Chrom and Ephraim fought really hard, and I think they deserve to be called the true finalists for the magnificent showing they had going on here. This was really exciting to watch even if I wasn't on either of those teams, and I respect both sides for their guts and determination. Also, prepare to meet your new Lucina overlords. Unless Intelligent System decides that 'Same' equals a tie and decides to merge Team Chrom and Ephraim together or something. Only in that kind of hypothetical scenario do I see something that could challenge Lucina for real.
  10. Do we find out in 5 minutes? I didn't really check last time. Did we have to wait until the next round starts to find out the final scores?
  11. Ah, nice. I've saved 1100 of my flags (I only spent 5s so far) as well, so I'm ready to rumble with our final opponent. I do hope we get more orbs though, I think just Lucina by herself was enough to reach the 10 billion mark that was needed for higher rewards.
  12. Oh, really? That's wonderful. I was kind of afraid of saying much because I didn't think there were any others of our kind here. Lucina is my only 40+2 unit (+Spd-Def), and she's always been kind of a favorite of mine (Lord Tiki is #1 though). Although I do want to support her, I would appreciate a greater challenge since our battles were way too easily won. I want to have the feeling that I'm making a difference, like Team Chrom/Ephraim felt throughout their whole struggle. Even as Lucina supporter, I must admit that it was an exemplary battle and probably the best one we're going to get this time.
  13. I'm pretty sure it borders on hate. Characters that are 'overrated' get a lot of flak from the community just for their popularity. I mean, some of it is justified as Lucina already appeared in Smash and has a special skin coming up, and others deserve a chance to get something, but I do see a lot of people hating on her just because she's become *too popular*. This phenomenon happens everywhere honestly, not just FE.
  14. Might not be the brightest idea to announce that in a room full of Ephraim(s)... Lucina is kind of a fringe faction here. Then again, I've been on Team Lucina since the start, so we welcome you aboard. (Also I also thought it'd be neat if it was Father vs Daughter in the finals, but oh well. This was a hard fought battle and I congratulate Team Ephraim regardless)
  15. To be honest, Chrom might have had a chance. Mostly since Chrom's supporters are probably casual Awakeners and Ephraim/Eirika's are more likely to be long-time fans that'd rather join Chrom than see Lucina on the throne. With their combined numbers, it miiiight have been possible. Although now, most of Chrom's numbers are probably heading Lucina's way and both Chrom/Ephraim blew way too many flags to oppose the massive stockpile Lucina probably has in store. Still, I think it's fine this way, since we saw an awesome match right up to the end, and victory against Lucina was an unlikely prospect from the start. Team Ephraim definitely deserved their win here with all that effort.
  16. Well, congratulations to all the Team Ephraim supporters here. It looks like Chrom will have his chance another day. This was definitely the most interesting battle in the Voting Gauntlet by far, and was amazing up to its very final moments. Unfortunately, with all the flag blowing, the anti-Lucina dream is now dead. We can start welcoming our new Future Witness overlords.
  17. I believe so. The way it seems like, you need 10 friends that are on the same team as you to get the full 100(Or 110 if you use the focus hero) points. After that, nothing can really bring it up further besides spending flags.
  18. I don't think you can get anymore flags after doing all the quests. And once you have 10+ friends, you simply can't go over 100/110 base points per match.
  19. it'd be kind of neat if IS declared Team Lucina the winners, dismantled them, and then had their members join either Chrom or Ephraim to do one last showdown for second place. It'd be a lot more entertaining way to end the gauntlet on a high note.
  20. She's actually faring better than Sharena, which is quite surprising considering Sharena had the 2nd most votes during her stint.
  21. I really think if anything, this is an interesting turn of events. It was honestly getting kind of boring to have all the matches decided from the start. Admittedly I'm on Team Lucina, but even I have to admit it's really unfair to everyone else that Lucina is in the gauntlet, since she's easily going to plow through her matches with ease. Every other match was also becoming a less exaggerated version of the same thing, with the initial hero leading being the default winner. But this one match finally overturned expectations, and it legitimately feels like either side could really win. This truly should have been the final round of the Voting Gauntlet; it would have been the most exciting way to end it. But even if it isn't, I still believe this can be the most interesting match regardless. It seems like everyone here is Team Ephraim, and I can totally respect that, and I wish all of you good luck. But still, I do feel like good sportsmanship should be a thing and the accusations are kinda mean just because the match's outcome is becoming uncertain. (Feel free to throw mud at Lucina though, even I can tell having her here in the gauntlet was an unhealthy decision for the general competitiveness)
  22. I don't think it's too surprising. If you think about it logically, when the team you're supporting is a stone's throw away from winning the round, and needs just a slight push to win, wouldn't most people get really excited and do their best to spam battles as much as possible? More of the casuals would probably feel inclined to spend flags as well, since the flags matters way more here than the other matches. It was probably slow earlier due to Chrom's fanbase being either asleep or them accepting that they couldn't win, until it became apparent that they could if they tried.
  23. Aren't you all being kind of harsh on Chrom? Like, automatically calling his followers hackers/cheaters just because he's winning? I'm under the impression that Team Chrom is under an adrenaline rush after it became apparent they actually have a shot at winning this. It's not too surprising to believe that Team Chrom is simply spamming battle every 30 minutes super diligently and using their flags finally (Since Lucina will win no matter what and it won't make a difference against her, but it can change the outcome vs Ephraim).
  24. Lol, Chrom finally surpassed Ephraim? Wow, this is getting really interesting. I really wish -this- was the final round of the Voting Gauntlet, since it's pretty obvious that Lucina is going to deliver a one-sided slaughter if even Sharena couldn't hold a candle to her.
  25. Thank you! I was really having trouble deciding, since I'm the type to try and save orbs until a focus I *really* like shows up (I've never pulled from the Roy/Seliph/F!Robin focuses, and only pulled twice for the Lachesis focus). Since I already had 2 Lucina(s) though and I wanted a better one to merge them onto, I ultimately gave in. Boy am I glad I did. I do think we might get more rewards from the gauntlet though. We broke the new 10 billion record quite a while ago, and we could probably make for 20-30 billion at least by the time the whole event ends. Rewarding such high levels of player activity would keep them around much longer, so I think it's fair to believe we'll get more reward tiers soon enough. Also, if you want a specific hero, maybe you should consider rolling only specific colors. Especially after you've done 1-3 full rolls and your rate is increased by quite a bit, it could help somewhat. Back in Legendary Heroes, if my odds went beyond 7% I'd start rolling only red and blue, since those have the chance to bring out a focus hero and in extension have double the chance of a 5* over the green and colorless summons. It seemed to have worked out for me, although my IVs were really meh at the time (Except on Tiki, who thank god was utterly perfect).
