  1. So it really seems like Chrom/Lucina/Camilla/Xander is going to be a thing now... And here I thought Chrom being equipped with bunny-ears was silly enough, they just had to do it to Xander too. I can only imagine that Veronica forced it on him, because she was bored or something and decided he'd look good with it.
  2. Okay, I can see Camilla... But... but... Xander... with bunny-ears...?
  3. Ah, that's alright. I make screw-ups all the time too, so it's no biggie. I'm just appreciative that you go out of your way to provide people these much-needed statistics.
  4. Wait, wut. 1.56% chance? That's as far as you can get from the in-game claims of 6% starting chance for a focus character... EDIT: Actually scratch that. 6% was for a 5* in general rather than the focus specifically. Still, 1.56% chance is like half of 3%...
  5. If these characters are truly limited to the season (Even if they show up on a yearly basis), I do hope their drop chances are heightened just so people have a chance to roll them before they go poof.
  6. This time, something for manakete fans:
  7. Yeah, the translation twitter updated the question already. It seems like Marth really might be the answer after all?
  8. Roy has the same title in the Japanese version; I don't really see how he's losing this bad...
  9. Meanwhile Marth is winning drastically for some reason EDIT: Also you seem to be on the right path
  10. I think making the first obtainable Ike wear bunny-ears is the equivalent of corporate suicide for Intelligent Systems.
  11. Mustering up every trace of my latent artistic abilities and talent, I have took it upon myself to answer thou's challenge for a masterful follow-up:
  12. Thank you very much! That's a lot of useful insight, and this hypothetical Cordelia certainly seems a bit more viable in my head now. You brought up a valid point about the Galeforce thing; I thought it might work due to Cordelia being able to strike four times in a row, but it's true that a lot of enemies will die before that can be achieved. As such I'm looking into some other options, and I'm thinking Luna is the best alternative; anything that can survive Cordelia probably has sky-high defenses, so having a skill that specifically targets and reduces their defense by a percentage should work well. I've also checked into some of the match-ups that you've noted would survive Cordelia, specifically the red and blue ones. I wanted to see what could be done about them. If I factor in Luna, +Def Fury 3 Draug's Pavise should no longer be enough to save him. With a single Rally Speed, Cordelia would also wipe the floor with +Def+Spd Catria, +Def+Spd Corrin, Sharena, +Def Subaki and +Def+Spd Thany. Taking into account Threaten Defense, and assuming the opponent is +Def, this would make Catria, Gwendolyn, Sharena and Thany all tip over as well. Effie and +Spd Subaki are the only red/blue units I seem to have trouble killing. which seems to bode well for this build after a bit of support. With -HP, even a 40+10 Cordelia should be able to get into Desperation range after one Ardent Sacrifice. All in all, thanks for all the input and statistics! It made it really convenient for me to check on the match-ups individually, and see what might or might not work. I think it's really admirable that you go around answering so many people's questions with such precise detail. Sometimes I feel like you're due a bit more credit than you're already given here.
  13. * After losing to Ephraim * Chrom: I'll get my chance... another day... In bunny-ears... Seriously, the mental images of Chrom with bunny-ears... Oh god... The horror...
  14. As random as the characters seem, I actually have to agree with this. The silhouettes don't really strike me as either Panne or Yarna, unfortunately. As unbelievable as it may seem, it kind of actually does look like it might seriously be Ninian and Chrom... At the very least, whoever is on the left seems to be holding something that looks to be a dragonstone substitute. And seriously, I swear to god I see Chrom's shoulderguard on that right figure. I only have trouble truly believing it could be Chrom due to the mere thought of him in bunny-ears...
  15. Ah, thank you! If you wouldn't mind, could you also give me your thoughts about the following Cordelia: +Spd / -Hp Weapon: Brave Lance+ A-Skill: Life and Death 3 B-Skill: Desperation 3 C-Skill: Threaten Def 3 Assist: Ardent Sacrifice Special: Uhh... Galeforce? Basically the idea is that, with -HP, she will just barely have low enough HP that one Ardent Sacrifice puts her in Desperation range. With +Spd and LaD, she should be hitting 38 Spd even with Brave Lance+, which should be enough to instantly quadruple a fair amount of units. Of course I can Rally Spd / Spur Spd to support her if need be, and Threaten Def is basically there to add 10/20 damage to Cordelia if she needs it vs certain melee units. I'm sure this has been done before and maybe you've mentioned it one of your guides before (There really should be a sticky that compiles all of them or something) but I kind of just rolled this particular Cordelia so I'm only really starting to pay attention now. This build sounds pretty sweet, but I figured maybe I should get your thoughts on it first before I went full ham on it. You seem pretty knowledgeable, and I'm not too familiar with non-Manakete units. Thanks for taking the time, by the way!
  16. This might be a stupid question, but would Desperation 3 proc if my HP was exactly at 75%? The wording seems to suggest so, but I'd like to know for sure before deciding to invest in a certain red-haired pegasus rider.
  17. On the Fire Emblem Heroes subreddit, I coincidentally ran into that exact image on the front page.
  18. By the way, you're becoming popular on Reddit now.
  19. Oh, my mistake then. Sorry, I kind of fell under the impression that you were one of the Ninian whales, mostly because you seem like such a huge Ninian fan, and I guess Ice Dragon's super-whaling made me think you probably did it too. I'm actually surprised you didn't whale for Ninian, to be totally honest. But again, I'm sorry for having those misconceptions and jumping to early conclusions; I hope you aren't too offended. I didn't mean anything wrong by it, honest. By the way, I heard you 5*d an Eliwood just so Ninian wouldn't feel lonely? I'm kind of happy someone else here did the same thing as me.
  20. Those two really need some Paralogue where they interact. I feel like Ninian really got shafted dialogue-wise and role-wise in the Blazing Shadows map. Preferably, Eliwood joins in the conversation too.
  21. If she was in a future gauntlet, I'd probably join her as well. By then, I'd probably have completed my 40+10 Nowi (She's 40+6 right now because tons of dedication+effort) as well, which would probably be a fantastic unit to lend out since she benefits fully from Ninian's Fortify Dragon and has an amazing weapon as well as stats in general. As such, all the people running Ninian for the bonus votes (I don't think it counted if you used someone else's unit) can look forward to that, if it ever comes down to such a Voting Gauntlet. I know I'm nothing in the face of whales, but I want my moment too...
  22. Ah, thank you for that! I'll just comment in your thread in that case.
  23. Personally speaking, I am really excited for these changes! I must hand it to Intelligent Systems; it truly feels like they care about their fanbase and are actively listening to a lot of the feedback being sent in. I like to make jokes about them being stingy with orbs, but they've been pretty decent even on that front, with event after event coughing up lots of orbs for players to earn. This is the first game I've played where the developers are so quick to implement changes that the fans have been clamoring for. You can tell they're really trying, and want fans to enjoy their game (Even if they also want your money). But back to the actual updates... It's about time we became able to adjust starting positions. One of the things I really loved about this game was how little it relied on RNG (Besides when summoning units). It truly feels like a strategy game, and you don't have to pray to the RNG gods that everything goes smoothly. No, you can have everything work out through sheer planning and raising a variety of units that fulfill different roles. The only real RNG-based factor in battles were the starting positions, which probably screwed everyone over at least once or twice. With this out of the way, battles truly become about pure planning and strategizing, which I more than welcome. From what it seems, it looks like it'll be implemented in a rather convenient fashion, so further praise to Intelligent Systems for that. As for the maximum stamina being raised to 99; I'm pretty sure anyone can appreciate this. In order to constantly use stamina and ensure that none is wasted, one theoratically had to play every 4 hours so that the stamina doesn't cap out and stop regenerating. With this update, you can finally sleep for 8 hours and still make efficient use of the in-game stamina. This is amazing for me because it makes my SP grinding so much easier and faster (I'd miss out on 75+ SP if I slept for 8 hours now) and I need so much of it for all my units. With the new Skill Inheritance update, I'm sure many people have considered raising their lower rarity units to 40 before finally promoting them. However, it was kind of a hassle due to the weak weapons making it hard to secure kills sometimes, and the lower stats making taking hits rather hard at the higher stratums. I had to do a whole lot of babying with my stronger units giving out Rally(s) and Spur(s) to make this work, and even then the AI can be extremely spiteful sometimes, choosing to kill themselves against my max level units rather than the weaker ones that need levelling. With this, hopefully levelling my 3* units will become more feasible, and I can do some SP grinding before finally promoting them to 5*. Also, thanks for the shoutout!
  24. Ah, thank you very much! I'll start preparing a thread ahead of time then, just so I'll be ready when one does pop up (It's fine if someone else beats me to it, though). Out of curiosity, is there somewhere I should expect this cleaner translation to appear? Or do I kind of have to keep looking around randomly until someone coughs it up somewhere?
