So I was lucky enough to get another Hector(-hp/+spd). Should I be merging him with my current Hector(-res/+def) or should I SI his distant counter for another hero worthy of it?

Pulled a 5* Olwen but she is +hp/-atk. Is there any point in training her or is she just SI fodder/merge with any possible olwens in the future? Would she be better than a blarblade ursula in horse emblem even with those IVs?

@Chromatone Ursula isn't 5* yet but does have blarblade. I guess I'll put him on hold then since Ursula does the job well enough anyways. I just hear a lot of good things with Rein so just wanted to know if he is worth to switch in my horse emblem team. Thanks.

So I just pulled Reinhardt who is +spd/-res at 4*. I already have a cavalry team of Xander, Ursula, Cecilia, Gunter. After this week's arena I will have enough feathers to promote a unit. My question now is he better than Ursula enough to replace her even though he isn't +atk boon?

What's a better eirika to support nino? I have a +atk/-def & +def/-atk, both 4*. I was thinking of keeping both as one could be offensive while the other is more tanky. But which should I concentrate/promote first for nino if I plan to use a team of nino, eirika, ninian, bonus unit/askr trio for arena?

@PersonetteI was writing a wall of text about the same things Bartozio said xD I agree with Bartozio. If you also have Olivia then you can replace Sharena's rally to either spd or res to make Nino shine even more. Xander personally I would promote only if you plan to do horse emblem because that's where he really shines. So you probably should go for Nino.

So I've finally been blessed with a hinata to give away fury 3. Question is, I don't know if I should give it to Ike(+spd/-atk) or Xander. I use both units for arena and in general and checking with the damage calc, they both have a similar outcome with Xander losing 1 less than Ike with the current build I have on them.

What kind of build can I do with a +hp/-atk ninian? Is she only stuck being a bulky support? Or is it possible for her to be the only blue in the team to deal with swords even with a -atk bane?

I'm no expert as I usually play around with my defense team to get my wins. But last season I was able to get a decent amount of wins with my team of male robin, Ike, Hector, Takumi. Its an almost full counter attack team and Hector has WoM so he jumps to allies that didn't get OHKO. It worked really well as I was able to get the 900 feather defense wins. Sadly that team is not working anymore this season because of the Horse emblem meta. As a user of horse emblem myself, the only time I have lost is when I mispositioned my units. Other than that, I beat a lot of people in arena. So in my opinion, I think that a counter to horse emblem might work. Maybe people like female robin with her cavalry tome(dont remember the name) would work well. Though I don't quite have the time to train and SI mine so I can't tell you how effective she is. Dancers are always a good option as those for me are the most annoying teams to fight. I would also suggest units that have the same movement space and units with swap and reposition might help keep the team together instead of other units running off into their deaths. Other than that I can't really think of how to improve defense wins.

True, I am currently struggling as she is past 30 already. Just didn't want to slow farm sp at 4* lvl 40 since it will be a while before I will be able to 5* her. After playing around with that calc, I decided to go with LD2 because I got a lot more wins according to the calc (and because I have a ton of Hana). Just got to make sure she doesn't get hit. Thanks for all the tips and advice :)

She is only 3* now but will be promoting her once she is 40 for the extra sp i get from lvls. Also she is +spd/-hp and yeah will probably wait up on the TA3. I would have been less hesitant if I had more roys. Should I be putting TA2 on her instead or L&D2/fury 2? I can also give her death blow 2 since I have some effies with bad IVs (-atk)

Thanks will just go with my original plan. Wanted to be sure since I don't have an extra gunter to afford to make a mistake in passing hone (tons of jagen tho). I see a lot of people suggest TA so I might try it out, though I'm hesitant to give her TA3 since I only have one roy to sacrifice. Is she really worth the TA3 investment or will TA2 be enough and save that roy for another unit?

Nobody answered my previous question so i decided to repost my question So decided to run a horse team of gunter, cecilia, ursula, xander. Will switch out gunter for Camus in the future. But my problem now is what C ability i should be giving to my units with considerations of when Camus is released. I was originally thinking of giving both frontliners hone and the mages fortify but then I've read that some suggest one mage fortify and the other w hone. Same goes with the frontliners. This way everyone gets hone/fortify buffs. Right now I have fortify on Ursula. Should I give Xander fortify and cecilia hone? Then once Camus is released switch out gunter and pass him the hone or is my first idea the better option? Also is it better to have at least one ward in there or is it not necessary?

Since I've been using horse emblem, I might use the cecilia now though I'm thinking is it a good idea to change her to a blade tome or keep her current one? If i needed to deal with archers I could always bait w xander and have him kill them on the counter and I use ursula just to slay everything w her blade tome. Edit: Decided to switch out Clarine since I realize she hasn't really been doing much in the team because Xander almost always takes 0 damage with fortify. Guys, are these IVs worth to SI with or should I just wait for better IV and use them as skill fodder? Effie -hp/+def Cecilia -hp/+spd or neutral Lukas -res/+hp or -spd/+def Cherche -hp/+res or -hp/+def Seliph -hp/+def Lilina -spd/+hp Fae -atk/+def Roy -def/+res I won't really be investing on these heroes now as I'm concentrating on horse emblem but it would be nice to know if the IVs are decent to use for different team set ups I could use for quests/GHB

@Katrisa My team is Xander, Ursula(w blarblade), gunter(for buffs), clarine. This will probably change once Camus comes out. I do have a cecilia but I don't really have anyone to pass TA or death blow so I didn't use her in the team. I've already 5* Xander and he is much better than when he was a 4* just because of his distant counter. So far he has been ORKO anything that attacks him as I level him. No regrets in upgrading him.

@Arcanite @MrSmokestack sadly it just fury 2 since hinata loves to avoid me. But will go ahead and 5* xander and farm sp for his weapon. Thanks :)

@Gustavos I do have 1 extra 4* eliwood thats +spd/-atk would it be a good idea to give it to Ursula? Or is fortify a better c skill? I plan to stick Ursula and Xander together so they could buff each other. @MrSmokestack I guess it would depend on how Camus would be. If he can fill Xander's roll of being a Tank maybe I can 5* Eliwood and slip him in the team as my red sword user instead. So my team plan now will be ursula, xander, gunter, & eliwood until camus comes out
