It is worth keeping in mind that Lissa is the only Awakening character in this gauntlet unlike all the previous ones which had at least 2 Awakening characters each. What I'm saying is that Lissa has no one competing against her for the Awakening fan base vote and, well, we all know how popular Awakening is. Of course, my logic here is running on the assumption that the majority of the Awakening fans who participate in this gauntlet will back Lissa which remains to be seen, until the gauntlet starts anyways. As for Elise, she (or Sakura if she wins) will be the only Fates rep left in the gauntlet and while Fates doesn't share the same level of popularity as Awakening, it certainly still has its share of fans. That is also on top of the fact that Elise / Sakura are also quite popular on their own merits or at least more so than any of the other six characters involved in this gauntlet. That's just my take on this though.

Those two weren't even the first ones to be associated with Thoron though, Arlen from FE3/12 was. He starts out with it when he's first recruited and everything. So technically, he should be the one who has first dibs on Thoron+.

While we're talking about strange shit in the Training Tower, I saw a Kagero with a max HP of 18 in the 9th stratum the other day. There was also a Mae with just 7 Defense in the same encounter and, no, she didn't have Life and Death.

It would be pretty weird to make one of the main lords in the series a healer though.
I honestly don't see them making either Micaiah or Elincia a staffbot. They could've given Celica that treatment given that she can use Recover but they didn't. Though Celica also doesn't use a staff to cast her healing magic while Micaiah (except in the case of Sacrifice) does, so there's that. I do hope that they don't screw one, or worse, both of them over because Amiti is awesome and it would be interesting to me what weapon they give Micaiah who, while she has Thani, lacks an exclusive legendary weapon unlike pretty much every other lord in the series.

We still haven't heard anything about the healer gauntlet as far as I'm aware, both when it is supposed to start and which characters will be involved. Honestly, it's beginning to seem more likely that it'll start in the first or second week of July, but that's just what I think. It could also very well start shortly after version 1.5 launches for all I know. We just have to keep waiting, for better or worse.

Well, it took until my 5* rate was up to 5.5%, but I got a focus character from the New Mystery banner along with some nice bonuses. As for the pulls it took to get there, they were pretty unremarkable aside from occasionally getting good skill fodder like Klein and Catria. Anyways, on to the pull that matters.
5* Katarina (+RES, -SPD; new), 4* Rebecca (+SPD, -DEF; new), 3* Eliwood (+SPD, -ATK), 5* Karel (+ATK, -HP; new), 3* Robin (+ATK, -SPD)
So with Katarina, I'm now up to 4 5* red mages and only need Celica to have all the 5* only red mages. The Speed bane is unfortunate of course but at least the Resistance boon gels with her innate Glacies and Atk Ploy I suppose. Karel, though not the Wo Dao user that's on this banner, at least got a significantly better boon/bane combo though I was certainly not in dire need of another 5* sword but hey, I'll take what I can get. Getting him and a Rebecca with a similarly good boon/bane now leaves Jaffar as the only Blazing Shadows character I've yet to pull. Ending this pull on Robin also quite nice as I never seem to have enough Bonfire fodder lying around at any given point.

My score is sitting at 47,744 (rank 2,514) right now, so Quickened Pulse is nearly within my grasp. The A Team I've been using is Eirika, Tharja, Ninian and Klein with my fallback team being Nino, Ephraim, Ryoma and Bride!Lyn. I've certainly been enjoying my teleportation shenanigans with Wings of Mercy and Escape Route on Klein and Ninian respectively
though not so much fun the time or two that I've gotten ambushed by surprise WoM.Also, I think my Klein (and Tharja to a lesser extent) might be drowning in all the SP that they have gotten (3657 for Klein, 2307 for Tharja).Could someone send help?Though seriously, they both now have more SP than I know what to do with but that's a good problem to have I suppose. Those two and Eirika also all maxed out their merits, but that could've gone without being said (Ninian was already maxed going in). -
I'm up for anything personally. If I had to guess, I would say that next banner will either introduce one of few lords (Sigurd, Leif, Micaiah) who have yet to be added into the game or overdue representation for Magvel. Again, I'll be fine with whatever they decide to go with
unless if they do what Satsuma is betting on in which case I'll be just a wee bit salty about them breaking precedent and making us wait longer for new characters. -

If I were to exclude my promoted 5*s, then my most common boon would be a tie between ATK and SPD (5 each) while DEF (6) would be my most common bane. It's also worth noting that only one of my +ATK, -RES units was pulled as a 5*.

I'm becoming convinced that I might be better off not buying pulls as most of the best pulls I've had up to this point have come from F2P orbs. Case in point, my pull from Bridal Blessings I did yesterday morning after gathering enough orbs from the Tempest Trial stuff.

Well, my devotion to Team Leo in last month's gauntlet paid off as my boy has finally come home to me! Now I'm just waiting on Elise to complete my 5* Nohrian Royals collection (not including Spring Camilla and Xander). In the interim, I did get a different 5* staff user and my first one too. *Sigh* When I found out that Cordelia and Lyn were both colorless for this focus, I just knew that if I got one of them it would be Lyn and well, here we are. Despite my disdain for Lyn, I suppose I'll begrudgingly make her my main staff user until and if I ever pull another 5* staff unit (like Elise) or decide to promote my Sakura. Oh well, at least I got a limited time character this time even if it was the one I wanted the least out of the four available. Getting one of my absolute favorites in Leo at the same time definitely helps that and I don't feel like I should ever complain about getting multiple 5*s in one pull regardless of who I get.

If I did my math right, there's currently only about a 4-5% difference between the two. So yeah, Robin almost definitely is never gonna see the multiplier again at the rate the scoring is going.

So my latest pull has left me with two quandaries that I could use some insight on.
1. I now have two copies of Boey, the first being +SPD, -DEF and the second being +ATK, -SPD. I'm more inclined to go with #2 at the moment but any advice would be appreciated.
2. What would be the best use of the Boey that I don't choose to go with? Would it be better to have someone inherit one of his unique skills (Gronnowl, Earth Boost) or to just merge him into the one that I do go with? While I had thought about potentially having my Soren run Gronnraven+ with TA3, I'm now a bit interested in trying out Gronnowl on him but I'm open to any ideas.

Between today and yesterday, I bought two full pulls from Celica's banner to see if I could get anything interesting. And well...
Yesterday's: 4* Saizo (+HP, -ATK), 4* Azama (+ATK, -HP), 3* Felicia (+DEF, -HP), 4* Oboro (+ATK, -SPD), 4* Sophia (+HP, -SPD)
Today's: 4* Sakura (+HP, -ATK; new), 5* Boey (+ATK, -SPD), 4* Lucius (+SPD, -ATK; new), 3* Frederick (+SPD, -DEF), 4* Sophia (+RES, -SPD; ...)
Firstly, I find myself getting a duplicate 5* / focus character for the first time since Blazing Shadows back in March where a duplicate Eldigan was literally the first unit I pulled from that banner. Boey #2 is also the 7th 5* I've pulled just in this month alone. Secondly, I'm legitimately excited that I finally got the only Hoshido sibling that I actually like. I couldn't care less that, even with the addition of Wrathful Staff, that healers aren't overly viable or that she's -Rezzy, Sakura has finally come home and can also give her eldest bro some much needed company. Acquiring my first Lucius was a nice bonus as well despite the fact that he's also -Rezzy. As for the rest, the Oboro could potentially put in work with a Brave Lance set
if I cared enough about her to actually use her that is.Aside from her though, the rest are destined to end up in the metaphorical skill inheritance grinder due to having worse spreads than the preexisting copies of them that I haveespecially the Sophias due to them getting my hopes up that they would be Celica and for both being -SPD when her Speed is already garbage tier. -

Eh, while Robin (F) could end up as the clear favorite in this hypothetical gauntlet, I don't think her team would be quite as massive as the previous juggernauts. For what it is worth, Robin (F) didn't place within the top 10 in Choose Your Legends unlike Lucina, Camilla and Tharja.

Yeah, that is true. I personally view Fates as one entity as opposed to three different games because I don't see them as being fundamentally different enough to be considered different games, not unlike any given duo / trio of Pokemon games. Heroes itself isn't clear on whether it considers them different games since on the one hand Heroes has a World of Conquest and a World of Birthright but on the other hand it has Fire Emblem Fates listed as the "appears in" game for each Fates character instead of specifying a version. Regardless, it's entirely subjective whether the Fates versions are the same game or not anyways.
