Hiya! I'd also recommend Awakening as it's reasonably similar to Birthright. If you wanted more of a challenge though you could try Conquest as it's parallel to Birthright but harder.

Yeah, hi. I've been using the forums for years but finally decided to sign up. My brother has lots of internet friends and he told me to chat to people on here. So, here goes. Of all the FE games I've played there's not one I dislike and it's difficult to choose a favourite. I also play other games like Zelda, Super Smash, Monster Hnter etc. Anyway, I hope you like me.

I'm agreeing with the majority that Faye is ridiculously annoying. Her whole existence revolves around Alm. She's seriously got nothing else in her life! Apart from her I pretty much like all the characters I've met thus far but I do have some favourites. Celica - She's a really strong unit, and I like her personality. She's tough but also sweet. Lukas - Not exactly my best in battle, but he's so calm and collected. I can't possibly not like his character. Python - Again, not a great unit but I like his laziness and sarcasm. And I also like all three whitewings.

I only meant that FE has recently started to become much more popular outside of Japan and so they might be looking at remaking games that were never released in English. Yes, FE3 got a remake which was only released in Japan, but that was before newbie-friendly Awakening landed. Since then FE has had a lot of popularity growth. In any case, I'd love to see a FE7 remake but I'm just not sure that we'll get one any time soon.

Seeing as we've already had FE7 released in English I doubt they'd remake it.

I've only being playing the game awhile, but I noticed that the maps themselves are either really spread out and it takes several turns to reach the enemy, or they're impossible to move across with units only moving one space on both sides. However, I do like the fact that although it can be rather tiresome, the game seems to be keeping true to older FE games with the map designs. It is a remake, after all.

I made Faye a Pegasus and wish I'd made her a cleric after reading this! Clair is seriously weak so I thought Faye might be better at actually dealing any decent damage. Kliff makes a pretty good mage, but Grey as a cavalier and Tobin as a merc kind of suck. Really wish I had seen this before changing any of them.

The fact that they're using the 'Echoes' title means that we could be seeing quite a few more remakes. Heroes has likely opened up a whole new load of people who'd be interested in playing older games, and I guess it makes sense to remake FE6 as Roy is a very popular progtagonist in the series.
