  1. This looks fun, though admittedly I am not sure how I feel about my own ballot this year. XD
  2. Here's my votes: After seeing the mid results I was going to vote Eliwood for the rest, but then I realized that while Eliwood is my favorite FE lord... I kinda felt bad trying to take the 2nd place spot from Marth. XD So I went back to doing just one vote per character like I been doing for the past two years. ...Still kinda a shame there aren't more votes available, there's so many great characters to choose from.
  3. I am honestly having a hard time choosing between Tellius and Elibe. Etrurian emperor has already excellently explained Tellius. Elibe's variety has certainly been highlighted, but I also love it's lore; The Scouring, The Eight Legends who rose up, and the dramatic clash that resulted in the Ending Winter. How you can see the Eight Legends' impact on the world through the countries they founded or the regions they resided, and in turn see a lot about the Legends. I also love the little neat hidden places like hidden town of Arcadia where both dragons and humans live in harmony, or the Dread Island Valor where Bramimond once called home. Then on Valor there's the Dragon's Gate, the doorway to a whole other world. (It would be really neat to see it someday) Tellius also has neat lore, but overall I find that Elibe's lore has a flavor I prefer. That said though, I didn't know Tellius had a lore book, I really can't rank anything till I read that. XD
  4. Wow, that pretty much sums up my thoughts on this topic. I especially missed the level of respect the characters had, and of course how much more characters were grounded in their world. Fortunately Echoes did bring back much of what I missed about the series. ...Odd that doesn't really line up with how the game portrays the Black Fang and it's original leaders. When I first played Binding Blade I just assumed it was due to age. (A lot can change in 20 years) 40 isn't all that old but it's certainly enough for him to be like a retired football player (for lack of a better example.), years of rough activity can wear one down once it catches up. Though when I did get all the supports in Blazing Sword, Lucius' and Karel's conversation did indeed actually support this. That aside though, I think Karel's and Karla's conversation played a huge role. This is the first time Karel turned down a fight from someone he sought to battle for a long time, which is big since Karel would travel across the continent to just battle someone. Now what? He doesn't want to fight his sister anymore and said he wouldn't, but if he keeps on searching for more targets to kill then what would stop him from being drawn back to the "destiny of their blood"? Something needed to change. (Then there's the bit where Karla mentions the vanity of their current existence, which in a way complements Karel's conversation with Lucius.) So with Karel's ending, I feel like his conversation with Karla was what ultimately prompted the change in Karel.
  5. Assuming there are seven votes... 1- Florina 2- Jill 3- Pent 4- Eliwood 5- Nino 6- Lloyd 7- Serra I may very well swap out a vote with Morgan or Kellam.
  6. While Gen 4 isn't in my top 2 favorites, I am really looking forward to seeing a remake as there's something I really adore about it. Though yes, much like Sunsurge, I also know quite a lot of people who are really looking forward to a Gen4 remake since it's next in line. However since a remake won't happen until the Switch gets a brand new mainline game, the remake feels rather distant at the moment.
  7. Personally I would love to try putting Joshua's hat on some other characters.
  8. The majority of my most favored characters are already in, though the ones that aren't still in yet: Pent, Louise, Nils and Jill. (I probably should have asked to have Pent added in this poll before I voted, haha.) I must say though, I didn't think about Idunn till this poll, I agree that she would be a really neat addition to the game.
  9. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to do some pre-orders before this goes through. Funny enough though... I am personally very okay with this. My reasoning being that: I already do a lot of ordering over Amazon so the 60-day expiration isn't a problem. (even if I didn't order anything in two months, I would use this as an excuse to stock up on different teas.) While ten dollars is two less than the $12 discount on $60 games, it's $2 more than the $8 discount for $40 titles. (assuming those still get discounted.) Though there is a thing that I actually really like about this change; apparently the pre-order discount will start applying to digital copies. For the Switch especially, I know there are games that I would/will prefer have digital over physical. (Like Animal Crossing and other games I would switch to often.)
  10. This is certainly an intriguing topic. I do agree, now days I generally don't play online-only multiplayer games unless someone else I know personally is also playing at the time. That said though, I don't really regret my time spent playing those games alone. Somewhat on the topic of personal connection; I must say, despite Splatoon not having voice chat (which I think it's exclusion is definitely for the best.), it really has a nice sense of community. Being able to see typed or drawn messages in the hub area that were made by the players you recently battled was a rather brilliant idea that went a surprisingly long way. Not to mention the atmosphere during Splatfests is really something else, seeing the player base passionately cheer on their team as they all battle to ultimately decide whether or not orange juice is better with or without pulp is quite the silly & fun experience.
  11. Hello all, I am Puzzle044. I have been visiting the forums for quite sometime, so I finally made an account... last year. Though now I think it's about time I finally said hello. To start things off: My personal favorite Fire Emblem game is definitely Blazing Sword, (Played through it about 15 times and counting.) and I have also played most of the games, save for currently Fates and the un-localized games. (Did play Sword of Seals however.) I am really looking forward to Three Houses. A few of my other favorite game series are Professor Layton, Megaman Battle Network, Kirby, and the Legend of Zelda. I haven't quite settled on an Avatar yet, so that might end up changing down the line. I hope everyone is having a splendid day.
