  1. Lol. I played RD before watching berserk, and I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed the similarity.
  2. Hardin is dressed in all red and looks like Joseph Stalin. Ike is a “Lord” made to appeal to Americans. Hardin and Ike are both in the lead in thier respective rounds. This gauntlet might come down to a Cold War just in the week of the 4th of July. How quaint.
  3. From what I can gather, I’m going to make the speculation that this game will be the most realistic FE game to date in the sense that its European roots are far more solid as opposed to general fantasy. The game will also feature a ton of European culture most of which is localized while the three nations’ cultures are more broad and generalized. In fact, there may not even be national cultures. Each nation could be a coalition of tribes each with thier own culture, and the three houses mentioned in the trailer could be the “Lord” houses in the sense they have the greatest power in their respective nations notwithstanding the Church. There could have been a Great War that brought about the rise of the three nations before the Church of Serios subjugated them to theocratic rule.
  4. I’m in a Pyromaniacal mood, so I’m going with Arvis.
  5. (Oh for love’s sake, I didn’t even press the submit button twice.)
  6. That guy who turned his lover into a Flame Atronach? Yus!
  7. Thinking about making some photoshop fan art of Arvis and Surtr under the American Flag. 4th of July and all.
  8. The story will appear to have world building as judging from the lore explanations in the trailer. I’m fine with a Black character in the game as long as Lancester is known for having a large amount of Ebonic citizens. Otherwise, a Black dude being the King of an otherwise all-White kingdom would just look weird and out of place. A kingdom based in Moorish-Hispanic culture would be nice actually. However, what peaks my curiosity more is why is a dude with a Russian name the leader of a Kingdom based in Scottish-Celtic culture.
  9. The game that ties Awakening and Fates together? Oh dear.
  10. Plot twist: The symbols on the crests are the letters of the language that Serios and possibly their kind speak. The noble houses are marked by Serios in the same way that a farmer brands his cows. It’s a symbol of possession and servitude.
  11. After listening to dozens of shitty MIDIs, this was a lot better than what I was expecting. Congrats!
  12. The fact that Byleth is referred to multiple times as “Teacher”, but never his actual name pretty much confirms Byleth is the MU.
  13. To me, it’s not so much mop hair as it is discount Berkut hair.
  14. Don’t know if blood is salt- ahhhh, yes! That’s even better!
  15. Finally, someone who speaks my language. Let’s fertilize the fields and strike terror into the hearts of all who oppose us!
  16. Who says you can’t gain a ton from being evil? Probably just a few scenarios given that the player may actually have more choice in this game.
  17. Why bother playing a goodie two-shoes when you actually have the opportunity to be evil?
  18. 1. Official Academy - serves those craven snobs right for refusing to use real weaponry. 2. Royal witchcraft - did I mention I hate magic? 3. Poison the water supply. They’ll need water more than they’ll need weapons. 4. Royal Orphanage - time to do what I couldn’t do in Skyrim. 5. Gimme that cat!
  19. I thought Fergus was the Russian kingdom due to the lord’s name. I’m starting to suspect this game will be mixed European cultures for all of the kingdoms.
  20. But does the promo or ad specifically point out that Rex is “your” protagonist as opposed to just “the” protagonist?
  21. Key word is “your”, as in, the protagonist is supposed to be of you.
