  1. As someone who's played through Radiant Dawn at least 20 times at this point (I've done a lot of playing around with different characters) I can say that Micaiah is an extremely underrated endgame unit IF you get the correct growths throughout the entire game, these being magic, luck and resistance. With the amount of magical enemies that you face in the endgame, if her resistance is high enough then getting doubled won't matter because enemies will be barely damaging her. Magic is vital because, duh, she's a slow mage, and she needs to level up luck constantly to be able to dodge in part 3 and 4. If she can't dodge then she'll just be the reason why you get game overs so much as usual. All in all, I think gameplaywise if you train her she turns out very well, and the thani spell is invaluable. Also, unless you're low manning the Dawn Brigade, she's the only healer worth training- Laura just takes too much energy to level starting at level 1. Characterwise..... I think that she's just a decent character. Micaiah has her strengths in character, my favorite of which being (don't shoot me for this) her ability to continue to fight for a losing cause against all odds no matter how much the world may paint her as evil just to protect her people. Most people hated her choices in part 3, but I think that those chapters playing as the Dawn Brigade were some of the best moments of the game, and she deserves more credit for being the focus of that. As for weaknesses, or rather what I would improve upon her, I'd like to share the idea that Mangs came up with for fixing Micaiah's character in one of his videos for his letsplay of Radiant Dawn. Basically, Micaiah should of been an actual tactician, extremely smart and skilled, and have a bit of credibility in general for being what she would be, like how Soren was regarded in the Laguz Alliance. It would of made the parallel between Soren/Ike and Miciaiah/Sothe fit so much better with two great tacticians fighting on each side with two people devoted to them helping lead their respective armies. So in the end, I like Micaiah, but her faults keep her from being one of my favorite characters.
  2. I've always liked Link's tp outfit the best and it fits his moveset very well so there's no need to change that. Since this thread is talking about predicting who will get in and not who I'd like in, these are the most logical choices to be added. The inklings are the obvious first choice to be added since Splatoon's been so successful. I don't think anyone from arms will be getting in, though- unless the game makes a ton of money in the next couple months. A Metroid villain would be nice to finally get, and I think that the main villain from the new prime game would be the logical choice to add. I'm honestly not sure what route Nintendo will go with Fire Emblem characters- if we get a new lord in FE Switch then there's a good chance that they'll be added, but who to drop from Fire Emblem's current roster in smash is a difficult question. It's unlikely that Lucina will be taken away just because of how popular of a character she is (same goes for robin), and Ike and Marth are series staples. Not to say that Roy and Corrin aren't popular characters- they have to be to make it into smash after all- but they're the most likely to go since they were only dlc additions in the first place. They'll probably return as dlc again. We'll probably get another addition to the roster from the Mario universe as usual. As for any other additions to the roster, it all depends on which franchises get attention from Nintendo and the fans in the coming years. We might get Wolf back as dlc, we'll probably get another Pokemon, and there will probably be a new character added form an older franchise- it could be anyone but I'm excited to see who they go with. The only other thing to tackle is third party characters. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another non-nintendo character added, and I'm really hoping for Snake to come back. That's about it.
  3. Elemental affinities would make sense to make a return. It was already present in Hyrule warriors and worked out well so why not pull it straight from Radiant Dawn?
  4. So, considering the huge cast of characters in Radiant Dawn, and that I usually end up using the same units all the time, I've decided I'm going to be the millionth person to do a PMU run to try and change things up. This'll be interesting. The specifics about it are that: I'm already using the 7 units required in the endgame (Micaiah, Sothe, Ike, Sanaki, a heron, Kurth and Ena). I'll only be using one heron in the entire game since there's only one allowed in the endgame. Besides the required units, I'm allowing 5 units to be picked per part. If someone is picked like Illyana who switches armies, they will take up a spot in both parts they appear in, so in her case it would be 1 and 3. The above rule doesn't apply to the Crimean Royal Knights (those who appear in part 2 but don't switch armies until late in part 3). This level will be played on hard mode the second time through, so those secret units will be allowed to be picked. Part 4 makes things really difficult in terms of organization, but I'd prefer that 5 units get picked that are recruited at this time too. Obviously 20 units and the required is a bit over the 10 units you can choose to bring in to the endgame, but I'd like to keep the numbers higher than a measly 10 so the main game can be a bit easier and if someone dies then we still have plenty of units left to bring into the endgame. Only one character suggestion per person is allowed. If you do pick someone, then you also will be able to choose the weapon that I bless for them and which army they are put in. That's about it for rules. So thanks for bearing through all that reading if you did, and hopefully you'll choose a unit for me to use!
  5. Disregard this post, it accidentally posted twice so just pay attention to the below. Sorry!
  6. I know there's plenty of tier lists for Radiant Dawn online but they all vary in multiple ways and it's hard to find one that's completely correct. So, does anyone know of an official tier list or at least one that's more credible than others?
  7. Use an earlier version of the emulator. That should allow the game to run completely normally.
  8. I'd love a tellius remake or even just a port to the virtual console for those games- they're so hard to actually obtain and they're games that every fire emblem fan should be able to play. However, the virtual console port is more likely for those games since they're newer than the rest and need a remake less. Everything before tellius is fair game for a remake. Finally getting to play all the Japan exclusive games (even if they're remakes) would be great and those that aren't Japan exclusive could still use the great graphic, musical, and all around gameplay improvements.
  9. If you have anyone willing to devote serious time to RD hard mode, then co-op can be fun. Just use a random number generator (1-however many characters you're able to acquire on the play through per part) and assign a number to each character. You and your friend will use the rng to select units 1 by 1. As for how to actually make co op work in terms of gameplay, just switch off using the remote- you use it for yours and your friend uses it for his/hers. I usually split up all the funds that are available, and in part 4 each of you get one army to yourselves and units that need levels go to the hawk army as usual. This scenario in part 4 can be a bit difficult to deal with depending on who your units are due to the many required units in each army, but that can be easily fixed just by trading around the required units between you and your friend before the game even starts. It takes a lot of preparation, but it can be fun and if you have the time and resources I recommend it. Also, if you don't want to randomize who gets which units, then just pick amongst yourselves- but the randomizing can definitely provide a challenge if you don't get some of the stronger units. Part 1 can be a huge challenge if one of you ends up with the stronger members of the Dawn Brigade, but that just makes things more interesting.
  10. I'd definitely like to see the Black Knight, but he's basically a given at this point just because of how major of a villain he is in the Tellius series. Ashnard is also a good choice since he's the final boss of PoR and a unique unit, but I doubt we'll see Ashera- that's a bit too powerful of a unit for heroes. Beyond Tellius, we'll probably be seeing more Grand Hero Battles for Shadows of Valentia, probably Berkut first. I don't think we'll be seeing any more Fates bosses added soon, though, since it would be smarter for Nintendo to generate more attention around their newest FE game rather than Fates- so no Garon (probably). As for the earlier games, we'll probably be seeing more Grand Hero Battles from Binding/Blazing Blade, Genealogy, or even Thracia, but only if we get more Echoes games. It's just not likely we'll see more characters from the older games this year, but we can hope.

    Hi!

I've been using Serenes for a while now just for general information about Fire Emblem, so I figured I'd make an account and get a bit more involved with this community. I've played through Blazing Blade, Path of Radiance, Shadow Dragon, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, Fates and Shadows of Valentia, and I'm currently making my way through The Sacred Stones. So, that's all I really have to say for an introduction- I'll see you all later!
