  1. No one plays Gaiden here? FE1and3: Catria, Linde FE2: Dyute, Matilda, Saber/Sverre FE4:Ayra, Lackche, Lex, Nanna, Tinny, Tiltyu, Finn FE5:Mareeta, Tania, Eda, Othin FE6:Fir, Miredy FE7:Lyn, Dart, Karla FE8:Marisa, Amelia, FE9/10: Mia x infinty squared forevers, Haar, Ilyana, Nephenee, Jill, Brom, Lethe. Usually, if they are a purple haired mage girl or a lady swordmaster then I probably think they're awesome except for lute. Now a purple-haired-swordmaster-lady-mage-girl named Mia. That'd be awesome sauce
  2. New game. It's been like what, four years now since FE10? I think anew game is long overdue. 3D would be neat I guess though if they're gonna go 3D I'd rather see simple battle animations rather then gravity defying jumps and stuff except for swordmasters.
  3. Alright, awesome sauce. Umm, I'd like to keep it somewhat random for myself so, if you could pick someone between Lowen, Marcus or Guy that'd be great.

Oh, I thought she was a peg knight XD. Oh well, I'll probably put this mug aside and use parts of it for other mugs later since it would be easier for me to just redraw it from scratch. Question, though: would you rather the character have a symmetrical suit of armor and seem more proper or would you rather it be something more like, say, Forde's armor. Also, if it's no trouble, when you get a chance could you PM me a list of characters you immediately need along with their class and corresponding splice or description.

@iavasechui: Well, really you can make them whatever you want and it would probably work. That's actually what I liked about it. A mage with the mage ring (I think it was called) was pretty broken as I recall. I believe I saved that for Dyute, though. Go mage girls. Quick question BTW, is the pallete okay on the mug I posted? The original splice you made went over the color limit so I cut one shade of blue, so the eyes only have two shades. @strawman: oh thanks. That Nephenee was actually one of my earliest full customs. I think I made it two years ago or so. It still has some issues (like the ones seph pointed out), but I like how it came out otherwise. @Frostbite:No, actually, it's not Midia. Though I did notice that myself while I was spriting it, but I liked that hair color cause it was the first time I made a color from scratch instead of borrowing it from a pre existing mug. Cause I feel like it here are some things I'm working on. These are mostly incomplete so they are subject to massive changes. Particularly the older ones starting from the guy whose hair is covering his eye and ending with Nolan. Those ones are almost a year old I think. The right most is probably the most incomplete, but yeah I got more FE9/FE10 characters coming. If there's a FE9/FE10 character you want to see sprited that I haven't made or aren't making, Frostbite, just name him and I might give it a whirl.

That's the look I was going for. I take it you've never played FE2. In FE2, Gray, Robin and Cliff are all villlagers (as in that's their class) so I was trying to go for simplicity. Though I didn't really want to make them look completely like villagers so I made them look like classes that I figured would suit them because villagers can promote to five different classes I think, which you can choose. Gray is a mercenary, Robin is an archer and Cliff is a cavalier/soldier. So yeah I was trying to make them look rather simple in design. Peronally I never liked Robin anyways so he gets shafted. I'll get to work on your suggestions when I get a chance.
  7. Hmm. I does stand out a bit doesn't it? and not in a good way. To tell you the truth I was thinking of getting rid of the red completely. What I was thinking was perhaps getting rid of the red so I can have five shades of white so that I can make the trim all white. I'll go screw around with it a bit.
  8. Update. Might screw around with it more later if I feel like.
  9. @Claude_C_Kenny: If you really want to improve the best thing to do is to post your stuff, no matter how bad it is. Most of the spriters here aren't going to waste there time trying to riducule you anyway because we aren't assholes to say the least. Also, just cause a person is new to SF doesn't mean they are new to spriting. Personally, I've been spriting for about four years(kinda on and off) and I only joined about two months ago. So seriously though, post your stuff, the critique might seem annoying at first, but it's actually pretty helpful. At least if you do post I coulfd give you some tips. BACK ON TOPIC I'm loving those dreadlocks. FE needs more dreadlock warriors. My only beef with what I've seen is that Dan's forehead is kinda tiny. Other than that, cool stuff, keep up the good work. Also kinda late, but awesome onox or knox or whatever his name is (haven't played oracle of seasons in long time). He was one of my prefered Zelda bosses mainly cause he had a big ol ball and chain.

@Dr.Sholes: Sorry, I'm gonna have to refuse that request. I do know about your project, though and I was considering doing a younger Brunya. If I do finish it you can use it so I'll keep you posted, but I make no promises. @Joerachi: Yeah, I dunno. There's something about her face that bothers me; it's missing that mandatory Sigrun smexiness XD. I was thinking of redrawing the face from scratch. The rest I actually liked like the hair for example. As for the neck, that was probably me just being lazy again. I have a habit of forgetting to double-check my portrait before posting them and making sure they are completely finished. Glad you like it though.
  14. I think the image got shrunk a bit, so it's difficult to really take a good look at them. Having said that, guinevere (I assume) has no eyebrows. The trim on Raven and Wil's shoulder pads is a bit wonky. Other than that I need to get a closer look before I can give you more advice.
  15. The hair should expand to about this much. I drew that line freehand so you should probably fix it up a bit first if your gona use it. Couple of other things -There should be more shding where the hair meets the skin. -The hand and part of the neck have FE7 skin colors whereas the rest of the mug has FE8. It's best to stick to one rather than mixing them. -Generally speaking if a pixel on a mug touches the background then it should be the color of the outline. The back of the head doesn't quite do this.
  16. Yep, I kinda like how it came out too. I can add the gloves if you want, it's no trouble. Actually, what I meant by preliminary was that if you prefer it I can add or completely change parts of the mugs, like adding accesories or making hair longer or things of that sort. Basically what I was aiming for was to try and make these mugs look like what they would look like if you were to draw them yourself. So, I'm pretty open towards suggestions that might drastically alter what the mug looks like. Even if its something like you change your mind about a character's class and you would rather have their ouftit changed to reflect that change or whatever. As I said it's really me no trouble for since I really enjoy spriting these mugs anyways.
  17. Here's what I got so far. Kind of a preliminary mug so I might change some parts a bit. Any suggestions as far as the design goes?
  18. Some small updates. That crazy double-shoulder-pad thing wasn't really working out.
  19. Alright then, I'll get started when I get a chance. BTW if you're interested, take a look at my gallery and see if there are any mugs that might fit into you're hack. You don't have to, but don't be afraid to ask if you see anything you like. I don't mind recoloring them either. Obviously though I would rather not use any mugs of crossover characters (like characters from other games). @ThatGuy: Clean looking splice. If you're interested, as a shading excercise, you could try adding a third tone to the cloak since I believe that sprite only uses 14 colors + background. EDIT:Forgot to ask, but what class is that Erys supposed to be?
  20. Yeah I like FE7 colors better too, though I only meant it for skin colors; most FE6 and 7 hair/armor/clothing colors work well together. Okey doke, so consider me onboard. Do you want me to go through those splices you posted and fix them up or do you want me to take a swing at the priest you described? Also, do you care if I make them from scratch or would you rather I stick with your splices?

Sort of a WIP. Her face is giving me hell. Also, I'm thinking of starting a personal spriting project. I'm gonna GBAify all the FE2 mugs. Starting with Claire.
  22. So this is an edit for the second one in the first row (just the head). So I made the hair a bit wider in order to work with Ursula's head. I also reshaded it in some places mainly cause FE6 shading is kinda ugly, but this also makes it look more original. I made the eye one pixel taller. This sort of makes her look a bit younger. You don't have to make the eyes taller necessarily, this is just an example. I also tweeked the lips a bit. Also using custom colors helps a bit. Couple of things I noticed when looking through the sheet, though. -For skin colors you should stick to either FE7 or FE8, it doesn't work too good to mix them up. -And on some splices, namely the one I edited, the skin isn't recolored correctly and still has traces of the old skin color. Also, when I offered my help I sorta meant in a permanent capacity, meaning I can help you for the whole project, if you like. Having said that, I don't know if you would prefer it if your hack had sprites that you personally made or what. Also, if you do want my help I can either edit the splices you made or if you prefer I can make them from scratch. Either way, I don't mind. By the way. You don't have to keep these changes, it's just for the sake of demonstration.
  23. Yeah, a went abit overboard with that one. Two hours straight no breaks till two in the morning. An idea popped into my head and I was like BAM.
  24. Well, a good start would be to try changing their eyes a bit or better yet redraw them (the eyes) entirely. That's usually what keeps splices from looking unique. A good chunk of them still have their original hair style so changing that would help, but it's not absolutely necessary. If you're looking for help, i wouldn't mind having a look at them unless you want to tdo them yourself.
