  1. I saw this on Reddit, and if it's true then damn, what a way to reveal it. It's gotta take a sharp eye to notice the text, so props to them. An Awakening anime would be fantastic!
  2. Favourite: Shadows of Valentia 1) The animated cutscenes don't hold a candle to Awakening and Fates' 2) Lack of supports. Uhm, hello, where's the Tobin x Clair support or Faye x the other Villagers? 3) It saddens me that Rudolf didn't get a lot of screentime... 4) Jedah. Screw him. 5) Why can't I have both Deen and Sonya? Don't make me choose... Least Favourite: Fates 1) The ability to buy skills, though it can break the game. 2) The Nohrian royals, Kaze, Rinkah, Charlotte, Midori, the Awakening trio, Niles, Kaden and Keaton. 3) Conquest's map design 4) Male Corrin's default voice, other than that, the voice options for the rest of the avatars suck. 5) Lost in Thoughts All Alone.
  3. @Tolvir You wound me, friend;) Despite a lot of people saying not to, I used Eliwood on the frontlines from start to finish, and he was my MVP. Unfortunately, Hector slayed the final boss before Eliwood could regain his bearings. I never got involved with the whole Nohr vs Hoshido debate, I knew I was going to play all three paths, so it wasn't worth it. Though, I do prefer Nohr. My first time playing a Fire Emblem game, being Awakening, was difficult. I thought that I should play it the right way and start on Classic. Oh boy, was I wrong. I ended up losing half my units before restarting and switching to Casual. I have never seen a physical copy of any of the older games in my life, so...anything not on the 3DS. I only truly started taking note of the Weapons Triangle in Heroes of all games.
  4. They all look amazing. I love how Roy and Ike are dressed as their fathers, it's adorable. I'm choosing Roy because he's my baby, and then I'll try for Ike, then Lyn, then Lucina.
  5. I'm super hyped for Warriors, and I understand why the developers did what they did. Do I like it? No, of course not, I'd love to see the likes of Roy, Eliwood, Rhys and the Laguz. Will I continuously beat a dead horse and loudly exclaim that I don't like it? Um, no, because again, I understand what they're doing. I like the roster so far, and this is coming from someone who hates Cordelia, Corrin and Takumi, and is indifferent to Ryoma, Hinoka and Frederick. Honestly, I like to think of Warriors as an experiment, a prototype if you will. The developers have already said that they're interested in making a sequel if it sells well. IF. How would you make if sell well? Appeal to a wide audience. Choose the more recognisable characters. I guarantee you someone who at least keeps up with Nintendo will walk into a store and see Warriors and be like, "that's the guy from Smash!" or "those are the guys from the game where you have to choose your path" or even just see Corrin and be like. "Damn she hawt hooboi". They'll buy the game, tell their friends, the game sells well. Boom, sequel. And due to the outcry of the first game, they'll include other games in the roster. People need to give it a chance.
  6. I hate using this phrase, but...I never understood the divide between the fandom. Yes, this is probably a popular opinion, but from what I've seen, literally everybody in this fandom is either an 'elitist' or 'casual/newcomer', and I'm cringing so hard at having to use those terms. I, myself, am a newcomer, I came in during Awakening. But, I've played or at least watched LPs of some of the older games, I enjoyed them. Heck, I even enjoyed Fates until the second playthrough and the hype wore off. I don't understand why the fandom can't just get along? So what does it matter if people prefer the newer games or vice versa? As long as you enjoy what you do, why should you care? Who gave you the right to decide which games people should like? And when people say that IS is shunning the older fans, I don't see it? I can't remember the last fully-themed Fates banner that introduced new characters in Heroes. I mean, Archanea has a ton of characters, as does Elibe. Valentia and Magvel are not far behind, and I'm sure we'll be getting more of Tellius and Jugdral. I don't want to call people out, but it seems to me that the ones who are the true 'elitists' are fans of Jugdral and Tellius. It's understandable, but must you poison the fanbase further? But then again, the 'casuals/newcomers' are just as bad. They instantly call out the 'elitists' as soon as information regarding the newer games comes out, saying "oh, the elitists are gonna be sooooo salty" and stuff, and it's pathetic. And it's gotten to the point where people refuse to buy the new games like yeah okay, that's what you say, how do we know that you haven't actually bought them? To me, it just seems like people hate just because they want to feel 'cool'. No, you're not cool, you're just acting like a spoiled brat whose birthday present wasn't good enough. You're beating a dead horse, so just jump off the bandwagon already. And I'll ask the age old question, why can't everyone just get along, or at least be civil? Sorry for this, I just needed to get this out of my system.
  7. Okay, so I'm not sure if there's a thread like this, I can't find it, so why not start another one? So the point of this is to confess your secrets related to Fire Emblem, just a fun little thing, really. I confess that, even though I'm a massive Marth fan and willing to defend his games, I've never actually played them outside of SD's prologue. However, I have seen LPs of them, so I know what happens. I just haven't had the time to play them. I play on Phoenix mode in Fates. It just got me through the game quicker, and, well, it's Fates. When I first played Blazing Blade, I was aiming to pair up Eliwood and Ninian and Hector and Lyn. I didn't realise that you could only have one A-support per unit, and I'd already gotten Eliwood and Hector's A support. I was at chapter 22 and I was like, screw it, and restarted the entire game. Worth it. So what about you guys?
  8. Kaden and Keaton are great characters, as they fully convey their personalities without being one-note. Owain x female Morgan is one of the best supports I've seen in the series. Having uncle and aunt supports with the Fates kids would've made them so much better. Asugi would be able to talk to Kaze about taking on the name of Saizo, he'd finally have the opinion of someone who could've had it if he were born first. Sakura and Elise could've provided some much needed comfort to their nephews, so on, so forth. Inigo is the best possible child for Robin. Their conversation in Future Past 2 shows how deep Inigo's character goes, and also shows that he's very intelligent. Their father-son support also makes sense with bringing up Lucina, Robin would technically be quite close to her due to his bond with Chrom, and would be constantly observing her as he's the tactician. Giving Inigo a little sister would also balance out his flirting, I don't think he'd appreciate anyone trying to date her or whatever. Plus, pink haired Morgan. Stahl x Sumia would've been cute as heck. I understand why the roster of Fire Emblem Warriors is the way it is. It's pretty much an experiment. The developers have already said that they're interested in making a sequel. If they do, they can include Tellius, Jugdral, Valentia, Elibe and Magvel. Chill out you petty children. Ike should've just been a member of nobility, because he's so freaking special. i had to, and i have no regrets
  9. I own a pre-owned copy of Awakening, and new versions of Birthright, with Conquest and Revelation as DLC, and Echoes. I got the special edition of Echoes so I have the CD, art book, and badge pins. I also own Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. On the Wii U virtual console I have Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones and Shadow Dragon. For other merchandise, I own the Art of Fire Emblem Awakening book, a Marth nendoroid, the Marth, Ike, Lucina, Robin, Roy, Alm and Celica amiibo. Two Marth amiibo in fact, funny story. I also have a rather large Echoes poster that GAME put in with my pre-order.
  10. The only Warriors game I've ever played is Hyrule Warriors and I really enjoyed it, but it wasn't my first exposure to it. That actually came from Pokemon Conquest, as it used characters from Samurai Warriors 3, which I've been trying to get a copy of to no avail. My point is, in the UK at least, Warriors games are pretty hard to come across. Most of the time, I never see them in store like in GAME, or even in the pre-owned section. And online, they always seem to be US copies, which is no good to me because, hey, I live in Britain. On topic of new characters for Fire Emblem Warriors, any chance Famitsu will reveal anymore this month? Because I'm too hyped to wait until next month, it feels like Christmas.
  11. Awwh, they all look so beautiful step on me Camilla Screenshot wise, Leo looks the best. He gets prettier with each game he's in, bar his Heroes art in his normal version. Render wise, it's a tie between Camilla and Hinoka, but Camilla gets a couple more points for her absolutely gorgeous hair.
  12. Maybe Robin finds Brynhildr before Leo turns up? I'd love to see them interact though, I think they'd get along splendidly.
  13. ^And you're the prophet for this game, huh? Let me guess, your daddy works for Koei? You're probably trolling, but I'll bite. They'd be crazy not to put more SD characters in, Japan loves the Archaneans.
  14. Could be worse. Could be romance. Could be S-supports. Could be children. Yeah, from what I've seen from the fanbase, friendship is the way to go. but I don't have friends...
  15. It bugs me when people say that Fates is being shoved into our faces, because it's really not. They had their games, just like any other cast in the series, then they appeared in Heroes, and now Warriors. Same as Awakening, same as the Archanean cast. Every other game is also represented in Heroes. Besides the Nohrian Summer Banner, which we all knew was coming due to it actually being based on official DLC, I can't remember the last time we had a fully Fates themed banner. That's hardly being shoved in our faces. Just calm down and lay off a dead horse. I don't like Fates either, but I'll be the first to admit there are quite a few gems in the game. You just have to jump off the bandwagon to see them.
  16. I understand that games are becoming more expensive, but surely it's to be expected, gaming is a rather expensive hobby. I also understand having various characters that you like not being in the game, but from what I've seen, it's just people 'refusing' to buy the game just because it's Awakening and Fates character, which, may I reiterate, is petty. I agree, it's their choice if they want to support the game, but they could really ease up on the negativity. Not really demanding though? I apologise if it came across that way. In my honest opinion, and a lot of people are going to disagree, but if someone doesn't like the concept of Warriors, than Fire Emblem Warriors is just not the game for them. Warriors is made up by its gameplay, which a lot of people define as button-mashing, not its story. Why play something when you're not going to enjoy the core gameplay? And any supports and whatnot can easily be looked up online nowadays if they're only curious about that. I do kind of consider it my duty to buy anything associated with Fire Emblem, obviously not the expensive games like the SNES and the Tellius duo because I can't afford them yet and lack the consoles to play them on, simply due to the fact that Fire Emblem is my favourite franchise, and I want to support it. Honestly, it just sickens me when such negativity it heaped onto this, it's like beating a dead horse, and it seems like everyone's jumping onto the bandwagon. People don't realise that this is not the entire roster, and surely they must have a couple of characters from the three represented games that they like at least.
  17. People saying "oh, so and so isn't in the game, me no buy" is getting old very quickly. There is a thing called DLC, you know? At least try to support the game so we can perhaps get a sequel, which features Jugdral, Elibe, Magvel and Tellius. People need to stop being so petty.
  18. A PoR anime would be great, then they could adapt RD. Another one which would be good would be Blazing Blade. Simple story, and they could really flesh out the likes of the Reed family and the Cornwells. Well, I'll never say no to a Marth anime, it could literally be Marth watching paint dry and I'd still watch it. But yeah, Anri after Marth would be great, because then they could leave little hints and stuff.
  19. I can deal with the 20th October, that's when I'm doing my Christmas shopping so I'll pick it up. I haven't even got a Switch yet, hahah. I can put off Mario Odyssey for a while, too. I think Azura and male Corrin will be announced in Famitsu, but something is telling me that Elise and Sakura will be announced later this week...it's a little pull at the back of my mind... I still think that we'll be getting a direct soon, mark my words, and if I'm wrong, then that's okay...Xane when?
  20. Xane would make me get the SE. I'm seeing quite a lot of people wanting Xane, so maybe...just maybe... I'm really curious as to who they're going to choose from Archanea, like, as of today, the roster stands at 16, 17 if you count female Robin. I'm kinda scared that Marth and Tiki will be the only Archanean reps...
  21. This was hinted at back at the Switch conference, they're going the way the swords appeared in the trailer: Chrom's Falchion, Corrin's Yato, Raijinto, Siegfried and then Marth's Falchion.
  22. I didn't pay too much attention to the voice acting, so I can't judge. They all look great, even though I'm not too keen on Corrin and the Hoshidans. I noticed a lack of jiggle physics on Camilla, so will it stop people complaining? Probably not. And obviously, they're saving the best for last, my beloved Archanea~ Any chance we could get another trailer? I know nothing about Gamescon, hos long does it last?
  23. A new story? Hmm...while not really new, what if they created an anime about Anri? You know, Marth's ancestor? Obviously there are a few flaws in this, like, would it be entertaining enough? I'd watch it though...and buy it in blu-ray...
  24. I saw this on Reddit too, but I didn't reply because I don't have an account, some people there scare me out of it... Another Fire Emblem anime would be great. I don't mind which one they do, but personally, my favourite idea is a series of animated shorts from Fire Emblem Heroes. It has various characters from across all of the games, paving the way for some hilarious interactions, and also some sweet, or even bittersweet ones like Eliwood and Roy, Hector and Lilina, and Sigurd, when he gets added, with Seliph. It could go on for quite a while too, as the game continuously gets updated. The story could be fleshed out too, dive deeper into Alfonse and Sharena, flesh out Kiran a little... Then summoning as well, I can imagine some characters praying that certain characters get summoned, like Robin for Chrom, or having moments when say, an enemy comes along instead. There's actually a lot of potential, and I'd love to see it.
  25. I genuinely like Peri, even if I can't defend her character. Jesse and Kamui are some of the best characters in Echoes. "My body is your plaything Mila~" Faye > Cordelia I really like Faye, most due to her A support with Alm, and her design. Shame about her ending though. I don't see what's so good about Leon? Yeah, he's gay, yeah, he has a tragic backstory but...what about Niles? I know that a lot of people don't like Niles' innuendos and stuff, but people like Leon pining over Valbar, who just lost his family? Nice design though. Gray x Clair's support is god awful. I don't like Raven x Lucius, Lloyd x Raven is where it's at. Kieran x Rhys is adorable as all heck. Brady is a fantastic character. Kjelle annoys me, Sully too... I love Sothe's RD design, dat stomach.
