  1. I can't really rag on the multipliers when they haven't given anyone a win yet. The outcomes have all been decided by the number of people on each team. I'd like to see the whole system shift a little more to your performance in battle, possibly a scored thing like Tempest but perhaps with different parameters. Defending your leader's unit in unique maps would be cool too.

Sounds like you want a more interactive set of visualizations with some fields that filter/update the display? I will put something like this together eventually, a few people have asked for it. This becomes more important as the amount of content grows, too.

Yeah, I guess it's just a matter of seeing the information consolidated without having to go between multiple tabs or making your own spreadsheets. It becomes a bit harder to distinguish between characters easily, especially as they add new ones that adhere to a common stat archetype (ie: the "myrmidons"). A graph that shows statistics and showcases a selected character from the list would be a simple way of quickly conveying not just where they're ahead/behind others, but by how much. Here's a quick and crude mock-up of how it'd function on a barebones level, with the sword cavaliers as an example:

    herocomparisonmockup.png.f741fedffa260d31ea70a498213d0adb.png

Of course, the real thing would look much better-- the calculator and other site features are well designed so I'm confident that whoever designs those things would do it justice. The core feature is really just being able to draw up a list of heroes and comparing their base stats, though, so the visual aids are just a bonus.

  3. I agree with what Astellius said. #4 had been on my mind for a while as well, specifically the "arrange each column by color" thing. The tile based index is preferable since you can see most characters on one page. Only other thing I could suggest regarding that would be if there was a sorting feature, as sometimes it's nice to examine units by movement type as well as weapon.

Another feature I'd like to see, if possible, would be something to compare stats of units. The Hero Charts and other stat lists are nice but it would be useful to be able to select multiple units and see how each of them compares in that grouping. This is sort of in line with the Insights on the character pages, though I think ideally you could group any characters together, not just by color/weapon/movement/etc.

Thanks for all your hard work, I know how much time and energy these passion projects can take.

Took it by "busted" you meant "broken". As in, really fucking good. Should I feel glad I didn't inherited it? I can only really see it as a badass counter against Blade tomes.

And counter them it does! Since half the teams I run against (including the one in the picture above) are oriented around buffs, it works out very well, especially on vertically oriented maps (like the two bridges). Pretty much useless in GHBs and Tempest though, due to the crazy HP everything gets. I'm not sure I'd call it a game-changer, but it does help in plenty of situations, especially with Reinhardt and Cecilia oriented teams. Disregarding cavalry buffs and the Fortify Res 1 Seal, I'd say Hone Speed is the most common thing I see, an dropping someone's speed by 4 (or I guess 8 really) can make a big difference. You have to anticipate the enemy AI to use it well, though.

Interestingly, enemies will still use Rallies on Panicked units. Since the AI is set to use units with Rallies before units that can attack, this has led to a few surprising match-ups.

  5. Noticed when doing the new maps and my Arena rounds that Panic Ploy was not working.

In this example, it should be active on the enemy Soren, since Cain has Panic Ploy 3 set. Has anyone else seen problems like this with other skills? I guess I have to make a formal bug report.

But of course, @Johann, you simply must inform me of your next team—for I wish to accompany you once more.

I say, Intelligent System should simply relinquish such a multiplier system. It truly taints the main aspect of the event.

Hmm... well, I like the underdogs, and I don't have Elise, Sakura, Lachesis, or Priscilla, so I expect I'd probably end up on Team Lissa since I don't know if Mist or Maria can make it (I'm not observing the other matches). Which of the characters do you have? After losing my choice character, I'd really just be in it for whatever can get the largest feather payout. Though I would say the easiest way to get feathers while minimizing the effort (that is, fewer battles) is to just go with the likely winner.

Also I think the multiplier is interesting, it certainly gives the underdogs a chance and adds some dramatic tension to the whole affair. I do think they could add a few other touches to spice things up though, even if just the battles themselves. I would also like it if they let you use characters closely associated with the team's leader (ie: Klein, Raven, etc) and get the same or partial bonuses.

Quite so. Of course, I simply must say; it appears the Clarine Army expended most of their flags already considering how many users are members of this team. As such, I truly believe the Priscilla army simply shall emerge victorious. I suppose I shall expend four-hundred flags as I currently possess five-hundred and sixty flags in my inventory.

Might I ask, is my Clarine Hero faring well for you? If not, I may switch Savage Blow 3 for Hone Atk 3 if such is desired.

I still have plenty of flags myself but who can say. I'd like to think most people know to only use them during the multipliers anyway.

Also yeah your unit is fine, no worries. Since you're using her yourself, I'd say focus more on what works best for you. Against 3 units, Savage Blow hasn't been as necessary as Pain.

  8. Looking at the math, it seems as though Clarine v. Priscilla is more likely going to Priscilla, but Team Clarine could potentially maintain a lead from the next (and last!) multiplier (which should be in like 10 min). It'll depend entirely on how many Clarine people feel like using flags, which I highly recommend we all do if just for the personal rewards, as it will likely be the last multiplier between these two teams.

I didn't think about that but....yea what the hell IS?  He's like the most obvious pick for Halloween and he's too small a character to feature in both.  Maybe in a few years...

I would suspect, then, that an Autumn banner would focus more on "the harvest", rather than a Halloween thing, which would mirror the Spring banner thematically.

I believe I shall be waiting for the largest multipliers so I can use the rest of my flags; such would be a most wise decision, no? I say, these gauntlet battles are dreadfully tedious.

I can already foresee Priscilla entering the second round, for she appears to be able to sustain a far superior lead for a longer amount of time—lest a large multiplier is applied. Perhaps I may be able to appear on this leaderboard once such a multiplier is active.

I recall waiting on the multiplier last month in the final round, but it would barely come and I almost ended up not using my flags at all (I anticipated a landslide like the previous gauntlets). The tricky thing about waiting it out is that a larger gap is necessary for it to kick in. Specifically, our team has to have 10% fewer votes at the top of the hour, so it takes longer for that gap to be reached the further along the round goes. Incidentally, with the slow rate that Priscilla's team has been gaining on us, a well-timed multiplier could potentially win it for us. I'm not tracking the scores to determine if this is likely, though.

There's also a potential advantage for holding onto flags; the final round grants a bit more feathers for rank, due to the higher amount of players on teams. On the flip side, waiting too much may ultimately hinder your Cumulative Score if you continually hold out for a higher multiplier that never comes.

Of course, I now possess Savage Blow 2. However, I appear to lack to SP to learn the final version and thus, I believe I shall partake in some skirmishes in the Training Tower to obtain the seventy SP I currently lack. Normally, I simply would not undergo the task known as "grinding" so you shall think this as a... favour from me.

Oh yes, my second skirmish was a battle with:

Niles, Azura and Nino alongside Johann's Cain and an anonymous Lyn Bride. As such, it appears I died, for the map simply was not ideal for me.

No rush, I think it should be fine since my Clarine is only 4*, so I'm not up against super merged crazy people or anything. If Cain doesn't work out much for you, lemme know and I'll swap in someone else. He also has Panic Ploy ready in case you keep running into -blade users.

Perchance, was the second Clarine me? I say, might you wish for me to equip Pain alongside you?

Yes indeed! And yeah, Pain might work extremely well since Clarine's Atk isn't particularly high, and many of the opponents are likely going to come in with higher Res. Savage Blow might also add up, hmmm....

Thing is, level 1 Clarine means you can just auto battle every 30 minutes, while level 40 Clarine could mean two healers on your side going against an actual team on the other. I'm planning on running Raven Cecilia as my lead for this. Imagine having two healers against her!

But where's the fun in that? Also I don't expect many people will be setting a healer character as their lead unit.
