The reasoning: A desire is a sensation that pushes you to change something in your internal or external environment. The sensation goes away when the desire is sated. Therefore desire is self-destructive. It is like pain. It wants to be gone. You eat to no longer be hungry. You have sex to no longer lust. And so on. Therefore any desire exists in the form: I desire {x} = I desire to no longer desire {x}

Still expected you to weigh in when he challenged you, though. Same. I don't really fly off the handle at them though. I've grown accustomed to dealing with it since I am the subject of oppression myself. The oppression is self-evident and ever-present. I can't come out to my parents because of their prejudiced views. While it may sound radical, it should be obvious that bigots should not have or raise children, at the least. It's simple. We kill the Batman.
