  1. I actually stated I wasn't sure. It would be a waste of my time to wait if I were right. I kind of expected it to be politely confirmed or corrected. Instead, my view on the interpretation I got was mocked.
  2. What is the intent behind the question? ^ That's my line of thought. It seemed very possible Parrhesia misspoke.
  3. It was not clear. He seemed to be implying people would choose vegetarianism for ethical/moral reasons, which automatically involved veganism. I'm pretty used to people equating the two.
  4. Integrity seems fine enough. I was perfectly fine to express my view and leave it at that like usual. Parrhesia called me out, again like usual. This is what has consistently happened.
  5. He spread documents against Africans. He looked down on them heavily. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gandhi_Behind_the_Mask_of_Divinity Among other sources. It's possible people were trying to smear him, but the evidence seems pretty hefty.
  6. At heart. I really can't afford it. When I have the money to support myself and get enough advice from others to eat vegan, I will be vegan. That's a lot better than the stuff I've seen so far.
  7. You really missed the point. If you go vegetarian because you care about animals, you are half-assing it. This is the equivalent of opposing the murder but not slavery of humans. Vegans don't stop at 'murder is wrong for all species'. They believe that forced breeding (rape) and torture are wrong for all species. In fact, anything that is wrong to do to a human is wrong to do to all species. That includes 'owning' them. If you do it for any reason other than empathy, the half-assed point doesn't apply. I specified that it was the principles that were half-assed.
  8. It was systematically impregnated against its will so that it would be pregnant its entire life. It was kept in a space it could barely move in with practically no exercise. Its children were taken away from it at birth and intentionally malnourished until they were killed to create the tender meat we call veal. The females were doomed to the same fate as their mothers. I'd rather the animals be killed straight out.
  9. Despite the fact that you're agreeing with me on the surface, this is an utterly ridiculous statement to make. So games life should just have two modes: My Little Pony and Super Meat Boy? do nothing or 100% commitment Nah. Life should only have one mode. 100% commitment. Anything less is not living. (I know that is an exaggeration but I believe living life to the fullest is the best way to do things.) If I can afford to go vegetarian, I can afford to go vegan. I can't afford either. If you could convince me that vegetarianism is significantly cheaper, I will do it until veganism becomes viable. It's a principle thing.
  10. I'm not sure I understand your reasoning. You chose not to ask about veganism because it would be harder to do? I personally don't understand vegetarians. If you are doing it for the diet, well, can't really argue, but don't see why you would avoid meat; it has health benefits. If you are doing it for the principle, you are half-assing it. Veganism or nothing for me.
  11. Assuming you meant vegan, but not sure. Going to answer for vegan. Philosophically: Yes Economically: No
  12. It was definitely glorious. Sad we won't be seeing any new films from the original film verse.
  13. I say gender neutral is best. What the person wants to be considered doesn't change the fact that you read their mannerisms a different way. I think it's a respectful compromise to refer to them without specifying a gender.
  14. Emperor Norton sends his regards.
  15. The-Mage-King gets upset when I call them they because they want to be called 'he' every single time they are referenced. How silly is that?
  16. 'They' refers to a group of any gender and size. It has been used for individuals for centuries. Hir and ze are replacement for him/her and he/she, respectively.
  17. Hail, for I am an Erisian emissary. I do not speak Swahili.
  18. Relax and be jolly, my friends! Hail Eris.
