  1. In case anyone sees this in the future, I have it up and running perfectly on my 3ds: 1. Rename the clean, Japanese ROM so the filename is identical to the patch (dont mess w/ file extensions). 2. Copy the ROM and appropriate .ips patch into the SAME folder, wherever, on your 3ds. 3. Load the ROM and let Snes9x apply the patch automatically for you. Fast Forward has never caused a crash for me (you'll need it).
  2. Necro this shit: I doubt you remember, but how tf do I keep Patty and Shanan alive at the start of Chapter 7 (Running from dark mages)? Honestly the only thing I can think of at this point is that I would've had to pass Patty the Barrier+Renewal rings.
  3. I'm doing this very subjectively, these are just my opinions. I'll only rate the games which I've played through to the credits, branching paths or not. FE1: FE2: FE3: FE4: 9.5 - pacing is my only gripe FE5: FE6: FE7: 8.5 - solid all around. FE8: 7 - very forgettable. FE9: 8 - story is cliche, but relatable. gameplay is solid but too easy (NA version) FE10: 6.5 - RD feels messy and has too much going on for me. maps are exhausting, and endgame roster too limited. FE11: I played this one but blitzed through and don't really care for it. FE12: 8 - Really enjoyed New Mystery, I played it after Awakening so I was used to the MU crap. FE13: 7 - I was crazy for Awakening when it came out, but Fates showed it up in so many ways imo. Highly unbalanced. FE14: 9 - One of my favorites. Branching stories hadn't really been done like this before Fates. A strong cast gives the thin story some punch. More fun, yet also more mature than Awakening to me. My Castle laid the foundation for the Monastery and stands on its own as a functional between-battle hub. Refined Pair-Up system. Loads of quality DLC. This is the 3ds FE experience to me. FE15: 7.5 - Some different mechanics, some broken ones too. Enjoyable, worthwhile, and not very replayable or enduring. FE16: 8.5 - Can be quite overwhelming. I appreciate the depth, but it makes it less accessible - before starting a battle I have to check: weapons and durability, accessories, crest items, abilities, equipped battalions and their endurance, adjutants, combat arts, ENEMY effective weapons, drops, movement types/weaknesses, etc. Sometimes I'll turn on my switch, I had just entered the preparations menu, and I'll just turn it back off because it's too much. Aside from that, I tend to prefer Fates' playful environment to the stuffy atmosphere of Three Houses.
  4. Hate: Celica in Part 4 - Conrad already saved her bacon from Jedah once, like "WTF is wrong with you?" Then she has her entire army march to the Tower of Doom-a, implying to them that they're going to beat up some baddies, and then offers her soul up to an evil god while all of her companions are like 'you're being crazy bitch'. Celica's like, 'Nah, this Jedah guy seems pretty trustworthy.' And then Alm has to save her ass, because the Queen of half the damn continent decided to just throw her life away. Ashe - I don't even know what to say about this stupid, wimpy little kid. He seems like the type who would give a homeless person his new iPhone because he felt bad for them. 'He pinky swore he wouldn't pawn it to buy drugs!' Dislike: Effie - 'I AM STRONG WOMAN!' Lame trope, come on IS. Clive - Only makes Alm the leader of the deliverance because he couldn't relate to his own soldiers. Doesn't have much respect for Alm, and only takes him seriously once he sees him wield the Royal Sword. Fernand also makes him look like a bitch.
  5. So, I'm confused about CF and AM as far as seasons: Silver Snow - Winter. (obv) Verdant Wind - Spring. (green, e.g. "vernal") Crimson Flower - Summer?? Fall? Summer seems more likely since it's a flower. Azure Moon - Fall?? Can't be winter. The term "blue moon" doesn't help as far as determining a season.
  6. How does recruiting Jeritza in CF work? Like, is it a level requirement, or does he just join at a set point like Seteth?
  7. Is there any hack/cheat made yet that enables all the gem patches in My Castle without having use Streetpass?
  8. I realize that neither really needs it but I only have 1 robe left and these are the only 2 that are 7 hp or less below their hp cap. Ike will likely max hp by the time he faces BK in RD anyways, considering hes already maxed every stat but magic and luck. I'm playing PoR on normal mode for transfers and I'm already on Endgame so that those stats mean nothing to me.
  9. I should also mention that Ike has capped every other stat except luck and magic. And Haar every other stat but luck, magic, and resistance.
  10. So my first robe in PoR is going to Jill, but I dont know if the second should go to Ike or Haar. I'm leaning towards Haar even though he'll cap it immediately and will only get +4 out of the transfer. I just think having a lower cap at tier 3 and significantly lower HP growth overall means that Ike wont get as much out of the transfer.
  11. I've heard someone mention Asvel, but he gets a lot of speed upon promotion I believe. I'll probably go with Leif though.
  12. I'm on ch. 2 and cleared the map but haven't seized yet. I used the Seraph Robe (Life Ring) on Leif. I have the Speedwing now, but im not sure who to use it on, or any of the later stat boosters i might acquire for that matter.
  13. How am I supposed to keep Shannan and Patty alive in ch. 7? Jormung is hitting with 60 acc on Shannan with Balmung equipped and there's a swordfighter blocking them in.
  14. He's only got 6 magic at lvl 17 Outlaw, so I dont know how usable that stat might be, but i do like Lucky 7 a lot more than Rally Skill. Pass vs. Shurikenbreaker is a wash to me. I should add that Effie is just pair-up fodder, not someone im actually using.
  15. First Conquest play through, HM/Classic. Niles is a complete beast - I gave him Point Blank and paired him up with Effie. Just wondering if Adventurer might possibly be worth it since I already gave him boots (oops), and he has move+1, does he really need a horse?

  17. So forgive me if i am not understanding this but... you have to choose between Alm and Celica's route right? So if i am choosing Alm's route than I dont have to worry about saving boots for Celica, correct? Btw who should I give the talisman?
  18. Is Celica usable in Alm's route? Is she someone worth using i mean.
  19. Ok so i already used (wasted) the sacred spring on my 2 clerics. But what about dlc items? I was thinking the boots would go to Gray. Also why would I want to use a pitchfork? Isn't changing to a villager taking a step back? Assuming I am happy with the classes I already chose.
  20. I just promoted my villagers at the thieves' shrine. Merc!Gray Mage!Tobin Cleric!Faye and Cav!Kliff. Im thinking I should give the HP bonus to either Silque or Faye but im not sure. Tobin has 28 HP so he doesnt really need it. Gray is already a beast and so is Alm. So i guess its gotta be one of my healers or Kliff.
