  1. Fair point, but the site currently has Twiliktri's(?) old names, rather than the official ones. My preference would be to list both the official names and the Project Naga ones.
  2. I'm looking for a way to unlock all the resource pools in Fates other than using a cheat code, because the only one I've found spams every possible statue and makes the Quartz pool unavailable. I'm willing to attempt to hex edit a save or even the cheat code itself, but I have little to no experience. Thanks in advance.
  3. I'm looking for info on how to hex-edit My Castle in Fates. There is plenty of info on editing character data, but all I want to do is unlock all the resources without using the messy cheat code. FEFTwiddler can't do this. I have 0 experience with hex editing.
  4. It's an OK choice as long as you have another Warp user and another Physic user. With DLC, Hapi is just a better version of Linhardt imo, trading a boon in Faith for Riding+Flying and then gets female-exclusive magic classes on top of that. I wouldn't make her a dancer because she has much better class options and even offensive utility. Male mages got shafted in this game.
  5. I just dont like it. It looks like baby-talk to me after being used to 'Levin'.
  6. You get 3 of them from the Mila's Bounty free DLC. (https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-echoes-shadows-valentia/miscellaneous/downloadable-content/) The idea is that you (optionally) promote Lukas/Forsyth to Knight, then take those strong promoted bases, switch over to Mercenary, and never go back. This gives them very high Str+Def, which is really all that a Dread Fighter needs to shred the game in half. Even promoting to Knight isn't all that necessary. But nobody should be returning to an Armored class. They should be Forking over from a faster class, if at all, to avoid using up two Pitchforks where one does the same thing. Even the five villagers can do this to swipe Knight bases and only use up one Pitchfork. So even if armored classes are basically useless in SoV, they can be used for their minimum stats - in 3H as well to a lesser extent.
  7. He was added as free DLC, wasn't available at launch before an update. Geneaology should be updated with Project Naga's names as well, at least most of them. 'Lewyn' and 'Raquesis' can die in a hole
  8. For SoV, forging costs are inconsistent with regards to whether or not they are cumulative totals or per-level. https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-echoes-shadows-valentia/miscellaneous/forging/ It is indicated that they are cumulative, which is how they are represented in-game, but it's obvious that this is not consistent - e.g. the Seven Sword costs 30 silver for level one, and 0 silver/1 Gold for level two. Actually, after looking more carefully, all of the data is listed consistently as individual costs, and kind of marked as such, but the language of 'cumulative/not cumulative' is confusing if you ask me - especially considering that the in-game menu lists totals rather than individual costs (i.e. the other way). I would prefer if it used more clear language to indicate the way the data is represented, just my $.02.
  9. Fair enough, I was going off the top of my head. I've played the game a lot (and use save states) so i would guess i play FE4 towards the aggressive side. I didn't mean it sarcastically, but ive never used that pairing myself and figured i would come across that way lol. I have a hard time investing in Noishe in vanilla. I think, for better or worse, in order to really rebalance the game it would require not being a faithful remake. In order to be a faithful remake, it would be hard for it to be much more than a refresh, imo. That might be a hyperbole. I actually like the gameplay a lot, especially with how it ties into the story with geography and that sort of thing. It feels like you're traversing a continent, directing a campaign, rather than getting an episodic view of an army's conquest. The gameplay and story feel less independent to me in FE4 than most other entries. Maybe it's the music 😝
  10. Forseti!Arthur lacks pursuit. I do agree that he is the better option between him and Ced though. More than 30 turns seems fairly deliberate to me for most chapters. Sylvia often has the Knight ring, and she wants to keep moving forward as much as possible. Even if she doesn't, if other units are catching up who haven't been danced, or they're in a congested area (seize point). It's easier when you take more time, of course. As long as she doesn't marry the wrong person though, you can just sell her stuff and kill her off at the end of Chapter 5. On the point of balance, most games don't have such enormous gaps between the quality of units. It's not just that a few characters are extremely powerful, it's that they're many times more useful than the average unit in your army, e.g. the difference between Lewyn and Tailltiu or Aless and Oifey/Delmud. Even comparing Seth (who is the only truly OP unit in FE8) to Kyle or Forde is not the same idea.
  11. I think that is the most likely scenario. In my opinion it would be more or less impossible to be truly faithful to the original as well as fix its flaws. And if they do ever remake FE4, I think the only way to make it objectively any better than the original (not just a QoL update), would be to significantly change it. Though FE4 is near and dear to me, so I would prefer basically just a facelift. I think i would be too disappointed otherwise. I do think the most likely scenario in the case they do remake Geneaology is something like what you suggested.
  12. Every desktop i had there's just 2-4 screws on the back holding the sideplate. Sometimes you can just unscrew them w your hand, then slide towards the back and the whole guts are open that way. It's a very safe place to hide valuables also, since there's usually some empty space in there, and nobody thinks of it. On a laptop you need the right screwdriver attachment and then you just pop off the plate covering the bottom. Edit: DON'T lose the laptop screws. They're speshul.
  13. I figured I could ask here... It seems like there was some drama between this forum and the Project Exile patch (e.g. the thread being closed), but I didn't hear about the drama if there was any. LF: juicy gossip
  14. Sorry, this is late, but Project Exile is the hot new patch for Thracia... Im curious about this messy situation now too, tbh. Yes, I'm pretty sure usernames are unique. Maybe other boards have more members trying to swipe your username 😲
  15. I don't think you're serious, and this is funny, but many of the more realistic suggestions here have actually been done in Shin's Patch, though it hasn't been updated for ages.
  16. From a gameplay perspective: - Larcei in FE5. I kept thinking: how much more broken can this unit get without actually being that useful? On one hand, Adept, Astra, Nihil, and whatever she gets from her father. A virtually indestructible killing machine with most builds. On the other hand, low RES, locked to 6 Move, trash 1-2. Maybe Thracia would let her shine. - Haven't gotten too far in FE5, but maybe Brighton, with the qualifier that Wrath works under Thracia's mechanics. Player Phase:Brave Axe KO, EP: Hand Axe critical. I think it would get some mileage, especially if he got Pursuit. Though Hand Axe's 20 weight... Smh. Geneaology did axes dirty.
  17. I'm very far from anything like an LTC player, but being even somewhat familiar with FE4 means that not much will slow down the more powerful mounted units. With full canto, most enemy groups will hardly slow down your core, if at all. Warping/Return'ing back doesn't really help foot units more than mounted ones tbh. I never mind killing turns up to Turn 50 after a chapter is finished, so any pairing that doesn't involve Fin has never been a problem for me. Having the inheritance you want is more important than any Gen 1 bonuses imo. I got confused with you using my username haha, i lost the password for my original... But yes, I am a big fan of HolynxBridget because it makes Patty actually usable through Luna and the Brave Sword before promotion, and it fixes Faval's only concern in Skill. Lex makes Faval's accuracy problems even worse, and while they get 2x Exp, Patty will promote faster by actually being able to kill things, IMO. Faval may be underlevelled with other pairings, but it's not really a big deal, thanks to Yewfelle. Faval definitely doesn't need Neir blood, but I can't speak on Patty. I can't see what there is to get out of HolynxErin* since Fee can't inherit Luna, and she gets A-swords after promotion anyways (not that she uses it). If Levin is already taken or something, Erin's kids like having Claude as a father - the added Luck makes both even more dodgy, and the RES means Fee can assassinate status staves and tank siege tomes with relative impunity. That's on top of the staff rank bonuses that both get. Erin always passes Pursuit, so no worries there. *This is all from a gameplay perspective If Ayra hasn't already snatched up Dew, [Noishe, right. Solid choice.] Bridget's kids like him as well. His growths are excellent and Bargain should never be undervalued. Sol and C-sword inheritance for Patty is a minor perk. The Wind Sword doesn't show up until the end of Chapter 3 unfortunately, and Dew is very hard to promote without grinding. But he is a great unit once promoted (might not be saying much), and is in-demand as a father. So really anything to make him more usable before promotion, i am all for :).
  18. I think it is actually a pretty big problem if you're playing efficiently, being able to dance foot units often means holding back mounted units, and if your dancer has the Leg+Knight rings, which they usually do, it's generally more useful to dance units who can reach more enemies. Keep in mind, you can only warp to directly in front of a siezed castle. Warp can help a lagging unit catch up with the rest to some extent, but not until your lord moves off of the tile in front. And even then, they drag behind on the way to the next one. In almost any other FE, Shanan would be far more useful, but without 1-2, he isn't really worth giving the Leg ring, and he doesn't catch up with the horsies until most of the enemies are gone. Side note: Dew wants as much gold as possible to pass to other units, so stealing and saving villages is a good idea. Also, you get enough steel (or better) swords that giving Dew one of them (if it were possible) is perfectly reasonable. Holyn!Patty is actually one of the better choices for a Brave Sword in gen 2 as a thief with B swords. He wants his promotion more than anyone in gen 1, bar Laquesis or maybe Azel, and he has a lot of trouble finishing kills with just an iron sword. Since he's such a solid parent with good growths, every level counts - not to mention being able to pass down up to A-swords after promotion.
  19. For sure, i was just giving my own personal feelings.
  20. They won't activate simultaneously, but the RNG will roll for both.
  21. One thing i sort of expected was for the amount of customization to be borderline overwhelming. And for me, it actually is.
  22. All hail Lord and Savior Lerad! 👏 For real, i wish i knew how to use Excel and contribute something like this. I like to know the exact possible results from gardening and doing these calculations on the fly was getting really stale. You should post this to http://reddit.com/r/fireemblem if you haven't already. Well done. Edit: one very minor suggestion would be to make using different cultivation levels a bit more intuitive. But really it is perfectly functional as is. Also, don't forget that using no cultivation is an option. Thanks again.
  23. Leon is too vain for my tastes. He's also weirdly fawns over Valbar, of all people. Yuri is conniving and incisive. They look and carry themselves similarly, but Yuri is much more cerebral, so I like him more.
  24. 1. Sassy Hapi 2. Miss Constance von Nuvelle (outdoors) 3. Coco (indoors) 4. Those other guys
