Catch rates in Gen I are super funky, Ana. Gonna put this nice little summary of the mechanics in a spoiler
[spoiler=spoilered for length]First of all, regardless of anything else, if the targeted Pokémon has a status affliction, you get a set extra chance to capture it depending on the status and the Pokéball you're using, before the game even starts checking the Pokémon's HP and whatnot. These chances are listed in the following table:
Ball PSN/PAR/BRN SLP/FRZ
Poké Ball 12/256 = 4.69% 25/256 = 9.77%
Great Ball 12/201 = 5.97% 25/201 = 12.44%
Ultra Ball 12/151 = 7.95% 25/151 = 16.56%
Your overall chance of capturing the Pokémon if it has a status affliction will never be less than the chance stated above, even if it's a legendary at full health - this is a check the game applies before it even looks at the HP or catch rate, after all. This makes status by far the most viable way of increasing your chances of getting a legendary - the improvements to be made by lowering their HP are frankly negligible in comparison. (The chance of catching an average full-HP sleeping Mewtwo in an Ultra Ball is 17.45%; the chance of catching an average 1-HP sleeping Mewtwo in an Ultra Ball is 19.21%.)
Second of all, lowering a Pokémon's HP below one third has no effect at all on its catch rate. If you're using Great Balls, in fact, that cutoff point is at one half rather than one third. Painstakingly shaving off slivers until the HP bar is one pixel wide is and always has been waste of time in R/B/Y. When a Pokémon is down to the cutoff point, you are twice as likely to capture it as if it were at full health if you're using a Great Ball, and three times as likely if you're using any other ball.
Third, Great Balls are actually better than Ultra Balls for Pokémon with no status afflictions or that have an intrinsic catch rate of 200+, provided they're at around half of their health or more. The difference is slight (but still there) for non-statused Pokémon with low catch rates, such as legendaries, but at high catch rates, Great Balls are very noticeably superior to Ultra Balls, even with status afflictions. Ultra Balls, meanwhile, truly shine at catching statused Pokémon with low intrinsic catch rates, and for low-health Pokémon they're always at least as good as Great Balls.
Fourth, wobbles are a loose indicator of the game's approximation of your chances of capturing the Pokémon at the current status and HP with the current ball. This approximation can be significantly flawed, especially when status or high catch rates are involved, but I would guess accuracy wasn't particularly a priority for the programmers, considering it's just determining how many times you'll see a ball wobble on the screen before a breakout. Roughly:
Wobbles Message Approximated chance of capture
0 "The ball missed the POKéMON!" < 10%
1 "Darn! The POKéMON broke free!" 10-30%
2 "Aww! It appeared to be caught!" 30-70%
3 "Shoot! It was so close too!" >= 70%
And there's even a neat calculator for RBY that can tell you how likely you are to catch that Pokemon. I guessed a little on the HP, but it should be fairly accurate
[spoiler=It's a little big]

I'd be cool with a Pomeranian, they're one of my favorite breeds~

I'm betting on a shiba inu or some other dog tbh
Literally the only thing it and Eevee have in common are the brown/white color scheme and being a small quadruped

You are most likely a type 6 (the Loyalist) with balanced wingsSocial variant... Whatever that means ~o3o~ -
GunterXReina comes to mind, esp since they're veterans on either side. Other than that, all of the other supports others have mentioned.
I need my choices dammit

Same with buck, it also refers to other male species of animals.
The English language is a confusing mess xp
Two more days of waiting asdfasgafg

I know, I was just pointing out that any Ground type would have worked due to the fact that Raichu's only good move being Thunderbolt. And hey, at least she can learn Earthquake eventually
And I think her not being able to learn Dig is an oversight like how Charizard couldn't learn Fly in RBG

Oh no, two different words that mean the same thing???
Looks like we have a synonym on our hands people

Adding to that, the scarf on Zygarde 10% represents Glepnir, the rope that binds Fenrir
I love Norse mythology <3

Any Ground type would have wrecked his steeze really. The wonders of poor balancing in Gen I ~o3o~
Agreed on the trash can puzzle. That shit is always annoying

Pay off all my college
Get a house
Get my parents a new house
Save/Give/Invest the rest as I see fit

Because some people revive old as poop threads for the hell of it ;p

I don't care for vaping one way or another, but I get really annoyed with my brother about it, mostly because he insists on smoking the damned thing in the house and the stench makes me sick. He also wastes gobs of money on it when he doesn't even have a regular job which just pisses me off for a multitude of reasons, but whatever that stupid boy's an adult so it's his own fault if that blows up in his face.

Thanks, searching Whitewings did bring up a couple pics, but considering the word "Est" was in the posts as well, I don't know why searching just for Est didn't bring up anything.
I'd wager it's because the search engine won't search for things that are less than four characters long. I've had a hard time searching for things like Ike for the same reason

Fire Emblem logic doesn't excuse that funky chunky shading ;p

???
She leads a well known resistance force that has been pretty well single-handedly fucking shit up for the Begnion occupation force and becoming a local hero in the process, and it's later discovered that she has actual foresight and can heal without a stave, something that's straight up impossible to do, even by the most gifted healers.
I mean yeah she does get some pretty Sue-ish traits but that doesn't mean that the praise she gets is entirely undeserved jeesh

Yup, you can come and go anytime until you help the captain

lol. Way to take what I said completely out of context. Everybody is worshiping her from the very start of the game, before ANY of that happens. This is what I find stupid.
The proof is in the opening cutscene. The guard says "Silver hair! If it's the fortune teller, we'll be heroes!" that means she's already gotten a reputation for whatever reason. It's dumb to put so much faith in someone just because of her hair color or fortune telling or healing powers.
Micaiah is poorly written and I've seen many people agree with this. Just try to accept it.
EDIT: Jave, I'm pretty sure she still is one of the most hated.
Did you read the whole quote though? The rest of it explains why she had a reputation:
"If it's the fortune-teller, we'll be heroes! Without her, the Dawn Brigade is nothing."
The Dawn Brigade was an already well established force before the start of the game. She's being targeted specifically for being the leader of the resistance group rather than having special hair or powers. Of course, those unusual traits are bound to make her far more noticeable than a regular mercenary ~o3o~

I'm not even surprised, just disappointed
Now there's just the matter of Hillary vs Bernie, and as much as I hate to say it, Hillary will most likely win out for the Dem nominee unless they finally indict her ass (which they won't)
Shit, I was seriously hoping that Drumpf and Hillary wouldn't be in the general election, but I guess i had put too much faith in the American populace

I took another route and sent him off to be a Dark Flier in Conquest. Shit was tight
Unfortunately, so many units that I love to bits are awful in-game orz

Believe it or not, Moltres is actually in Victory Road. Though I can't recall how to make your way over to him atm.
And critical hits ignore any stat buffs they would have put up, so Reflect/X Defenses do absolutely nothing for them
