  1. Sorry if I sound stupid here, but who's Lonoto? Also, I agree with the Lysethia, but I can't see her being too tall. I think she'll still end up as one of the shortest female members of the cast. Most of the changes will probably be to outfits and hairstyles though.
  2. Ok, 1. The Villains look pretty interesting and I'm curious as to their motivations. 2. Am I the only one who had Kurt Wagner pop into my head when they saw Nightcrawlers?
  3. And that just makes me think of the Pygmalion myth. Wonder if Ingrid's family has a lot of artists/sculptors in their line.
  4. Byleth, of either gender really, needs to have some flaws to balance out the protagonism. Wielder of an ancient relic, teacher at a famous academy despite not likely having any teaching credentials, becomes a complete mess whenever they're around someone they find remotely attractive. It restores order to the universe. My dream comic is one where Byleth twists their ankle and Catherine just picks them up one handed to take them to the nurse's office and Byleth's just a blushy useless mess the entire time.
  5. Does that make M!Byleth the stern professor route? And F!Byleth the closet key route? Because if so, I'm definitely ok with that. I do like Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side, and this is just a war-based spin-off!
  6. F!Byleth for Blue Lions and M!Byleth for Black Eagles is my plan as well. I'm flip-flopping on who I want to go with for Golden Deer though. M!Byleth is totally going after Catherine if she's a romance option though; so pretty and badass! On the bright side, we will likely have multiple save files, and we can use additional profiles for even more if it's anything like other Switch games I've played. So you'll be able to romance all the characters you wish. Or at least 24 of them.
  7. Yeah, the voice actress they got for female Byleth sounds great! Which is definitely an improvement over Fates in my opinion. I didn't really like the female voice options for Corrin.
  8. So Professor levels. Rather than being locked to a weapon for a specific class, we get professor levels and a lot more freedom in how classes will work. We know that some people will have affinities for certain skills and be worse at others, and that hidden talents exist. What I'm curious about is who is planning to stick with a character's strengths and who is just going hand out weapons for other reasons. For example, Bernadetta is strong in Heavy Armor. But maybe I want her to be a mage rather than an armor knight, as hilarious as the mental image is. At least for the first playthrough, I'll try and see what the game wants me to do. After that, I'll be following my own preferences. What are your thoughts?
  9. I want this to be an option for when he asks how to get girls to like him. Have there be an option to say 'it's your hair', and then recommend a new hairstyle for him. That would be hilarious! I mean, his personality probably also has a lot to do with it, but the hair really isn't helping.
  10. They essentially did this with Dimitri. I've come across a tone of stuff online about how much better looking people find him after the time skip.
  11. Light magic with some offensive skills can be useful for higher level classes like Bishop. Maybe you just have to learn the healing/curing spells first. At the very least it would make leveling up a bit easier for a person you're using as a healing unit. We've even had some attacking Light users before like Lucius in FE7.
  12. Could this guy maybe be this guy from the trailer? Since he has a similar hairstyle and no beard?
  13. What confuses me about Edelgard's classes is that I don't see a direct promotion from her Lord class to Great Lord. Based on the images, I can see Sword Master, Hero, General, Paladin, Wyvern Lord, Barbarian, Sniper, Bishop, and Sorcerer. At least, using names normally associated with those class promotions and images. So, why doesn't Edelgard have a Lord Promotion in the Advanced Class option?
  14. Isn't that Golden Deer at the moment? Or are you saving your vote until the day Three Houses comes out so we can choose the house we have the least information on then?
  15. I'm personally not getting it because I don't really care about the majority of things that come with a collector's edition. Personally, I'm fine with just the game and nothing else. I don't want to spend the extra money on things I don't really care about, even if the art book looks pretty interesting. Just not enough to justify the price.
  16. That would be interesting, especially if combined with the recruiting mechanic where you can recruit students from other houses pre-war. Maybe the game has a check that you can only recruit Catherine if you didn't recruit Lysithea or choose Golden Deer so that there's always someone who can use that specific Hero Relic? Or do the recruiting mechanics also apply to teachers as well, so you can recruit them if you raise your stats right like with students.
  17. I really hope that she's romancable. I want male Byleth to walk into a door the first time he sees her and his students try to hook them up because he's such a disaster around a competent powerful woman.
  18. Can I just ask one question? I was rewatching the gamestop video and I noticed something when Felix leveled up. One of the stats that rose was labeled 'CHA'. What exactly is 'CHA'? Is it something related to 'CON' which is missing from the level up screen? Is it a new charisma stat? Is it something else entirely and I just missed what it actually meant while I was trying to look it up?
  19. I'm curious as to whether or not there will be changes in voices as well. Ashe, for example, has a higher pictched voice in comparison to some of the other men we can hear. Will his voice deepen after 5 years? If so, that would be a nice and rather interesting touch. There could be tonal shifts as well, like a character who is more lighthearted as a student having a huskier voice and more pessimistic disposition in the war phase of the game.
  20. But this has always been true about Fire Emblem, especially in Awakening and Fates. If you don't get a character married, then you miss out on recruiting their child and the paralogue which could be used to level units whether or not you decide to use the child. This isn't something Fire Emblem hasn't done before, it's just the first time in a while that it's mainly being done with main characters instead of child characters which I know not as many people care about. This does remind me a lot of Radiant Dawn though. You can recruit people into Ike's army that fought with him in Path of Radiance, thus weakening the other armies when you control them or have to fight against them again. It's mainly a balancing act, which can appeal to people or not.
  21. Either that or he went through some character development over the time skip. Which could be good; I like character development.
  22. No, I actually meant Ocarina of Time because it was a minor thing that affected one specific area; the Temple of Time. I was using this as a reference because it didn't really have too much of an effect on the story, which is what I'm hoping for in Three Houses.
  23. It wouldn't be too bad if the final S-support was for them to begin dating rather than marriage. The ending could easily be far off into the future and that's where marriage could be, since there's been no sign of potential child units as of yet. At least, I hope there won't be.
  24. I'm not thinking that Time Travel to prevent the war is possible; that's too powerful and idealistic for my taste and even for Fire Emblem itself. I think that it would be more like going back in time to influence events so that maybe someone is more likely to ally with you in the future or has a skill they didn't have before. Mainly as a way to justify the academy being so prominent in the story even after the time skip occurs.
