  1. So I just got the new DLC that was released today (Gold and Micaiah) and was just grinding through the Gold one so I could get Renown quickly. The second or third time I played the map, however, the game didn't play the Fire Emblem Blazing Sword Lyn Mode music (thank goodness) and instead played whatever I chose for Challenge Missions as if it was, well, a Challenge Mission. After doing some testing, I noticed that you're not supposed to be able to do that normally. Has this happened to anyone else? I kind of want to see how much this glitch can be manipulated.
  2. As far as I know, they did not announce a Wii localization. It was only announced at one point that the game would make it to the states/wherever you live that's not Japan without a specified console and, unfortunately, Namco wasn't willing to put their new content back into the Wii version of the game.remake for one. I think it's really apparent by now that if you want to play Tales, you need a Sony console. Since every popular game seems to get an enhanced remake for a Playstation system.
  3. For as long as I remember, I have always been the kind of guy who just holds doors for people. Well...Apparently when you do it so often, people start to make a big deal out of it, hence the following compliment I got from one of the girls: "People say chivalry doesn't exist anymore, but with YOU, I don't believe that anymore." Get your ink pens ready, guys. I'm going to be the cavalier in your next FE fanfiction. *facepalm*
  4. Hey. I think that's a pretty cool picture of Satori!

Do you happen to remember where you got it?

  5. HP: 3 Average. Str: 3 Average. Some people say I'm pretty strong, but I don't think so. Skl: 4 I can do a wide variety of things decently, but I'm not really good at them. Spd: 3 Average. Same with strength. Lck: 5 I don't want to sound full of myself, but...I sometimes think I'm TOO lucky. Def: 4 Not very susceptible to pain, apparently. Res: 4 Harsh comments from the Internet or people I don't know? No problem. Harsh comments from my best friends/family? ...4/5 Con: 3.5 Overweight, but you couldn't tell unless I had to tuck in my shirt. Wow. I might make a good unit.
  6. Just finished Chapter 10A and I have to say this was a very enjoyable hack. Other than the RNG falling in love with me, I thought it was strange that Amelia became my best unit. She basically had good growths each time she leveled up and eventually 2HKO'd everything with a simple Fire tome. If this game continued, she would most likely cap half of her stats by endgame, including HP. Renair and Crowe were 2nd and 3rd respectively, essentially wiping out whatever they attacked with little effort. Being such an FE noob, I made plenty of mistakes, such as letting 9A drag out to about Turn 28 out of curiosity (do they ever stop?) and killing the boss in chapter 8A when I was just supposed to talk to the Paladin. Still, I was able to finish the last few chapters without much difficulty. It was fun, original, and keeps you focused thanks to the reinforcements. I am really looking forward to a future patch and the full version of this hack.
  7. I actually like the difficulty of the game so far. While I did complain about Chapter 5, it didn't take long to beat. What really makes this game difficult so far (IMO) is the amount of money you have, how you manage it with your items, and the reinforcements that are either ridiculously strong, plentiful, or yield no experience. Every chapter was beatable, more so when you know what to expect. Furet probably makes this a heck of a lot easier, as well. The chapters seem to follow the same theme, though. You have beat the chapters quickly, or else the reinforcements will drain your weapons and/or kill you. Realistically, this makes perfect sense; you don't expect to kill everyone in a war/skirmish then again, we only have teenagers and people in their 20s fighting.
  8. Warning: FE noob. Wow...This game. I just finished Chapter 5 and I feel my will to keep playing slowly slipping away. Freaking Cavaliers. I hate using jegans, but, even though I know this is obvious, this is almost impossible without Furet. But that won't stop me from trying to use him as little as possible (which made Chapter 5 that much harder). I may have to give in and start using him. He has fresh weapons, something no one else can brag about, and I feel like he's laughing at me from the sidelines, holding his shiny Greatbow before my desperate eyes. I don't know how much longer I can hold out, nearly Furetless with just one Wing Spear use left, but at least things will run a little more smoothly in the next patch. Oh, and let me guess. That's a troll arena in Chapter 6, isn't it?
  9. Eh, I'll try out this hack. It looks really good, a lot of work was put into it, and, well, the more FE, the better. I'm an FE noob, so I will need more luck than anything from what I can tell. Watch me beat the patch with most of the bad units.

  12. I saw this Forum Game in another forum and thought bringing it here would be fun. "The rule is to continue what the next person says in a to continue the story. It can be be weird as you want it to be. The story does not end so no "The End" in your posts, or else it will be ignored." Simple, right? Here we go. --------------- Matthew went to the park and saw a...
  13. Here's mine. It's Komachi from Touhou.
  14. Okay, and one last question. If I were to give lIyana Dragonfoe and attacked a Dragon with Thunder-based tome, would it remain at 3x might? Thanks.
  15. I see...Does this apply to skills that give effective bonuses as well?
  16. Such as Bows against most flying units and Hammers to Knights and Hector. A rather simple question. (and I'm sorry if this has already been explained somewhere else) What exactly determines the effectiveness of a super-effective weapon? I'm under the assumption that it varies depending on the weapon and possibly game considering Hector would take a lot of damage from a Hammer and yet Marcia can possibly take just 1 damage from a bow. But, if the weapon is a crossbow, it does double damage.
  17. Being a newcomer myself, I don't know if I am in the position to say this, but...Welcome to Serenes Forest! Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Code of Conduct and have fun!
  18. Either for the bonuses or the conversations, what supports not included in the game would you have liked to see in PoR? I decided to play FE 9 again after a two-year break, and I am really disappointed with the supports. I think a lot more people could have had conversations with each other. Personally, I would have liked to see Ike with most of the female units, especially Marcia, Mia, and Mist, and Astrid definitely could have found someone other than Makalov. Other supports I would have liked to see are: Zihark/Lethe Zihark/Mordecai Lucia/Geoffrey Marcia/Mia Marcia/Makalov Tanith/Makalov Titania/Tanith Shinon/Calill
  19. Oh my gosh. At least let me defend myself! D: So I should think about a character's overall efficiency at his/her starting chapters rather than their growths or whatever luck I may have. (11 defense as a 20 Shaman!) Got it. In that case, I have to agree that Ray is better...but I still prefer Sophia. She looks cooler.
  20. What? Ray is better? I haven't checked out their growths or caps, but I'm using both of them in my playthrough and Sophia has much better stats in pretty much everything. So I prefer Sophia unless Ray shows me how much more capable he is.
  21. That...doesn't sound good. Does the game really get that hard?

  22. So far, I do, thanks. Beat just became my partner. I still can't fight on both screens at once. >_<

  23. Hi there! Um...actually I just got TWEWY for my birthday a few weeks ago. I haven't finished it yet.

  24. Epic Wins I decided to use Rolf and Shinon in a playthrough. BOTH maxed all of their stats. In a different playthrough, I decided to use Lethe and Lyre. BOTH maxed all of their stats besides Luck at level 34. They could do 14 X 2 damage to the Black Knight without support bonuses. I beat Part 2 Final (or whatever chapter with Ludveck) with Haar in 5 turns. Epic Fails The first time I played the second-to-last chapter in Part 3, a lot of my units were close to Ike's group when they appeared. Ike got critical'd by a Killer Bow Snipe in Chapter 3-2 and died. I lost on the chapter where the Black Knight defends Micaiah against Jarod.
