fe14's story really isn't compatible with it at all in its present state (arguably it'd be more justified in fe8, or maybe fe4, but those would also be big stretches). i'd like to see it return someday, but preferably in a game whose setup actually calls for it. 14's setup decidedly doesn't

Yeah, FE2/RD split it would work fairly well with FE8. (FE8 would need a handful more characters though, I think)

I'll take this "silly" witch design over Gaiden's blatant reuse of the female mage sprite from both FE1 and its own game.

Sad that the map doesn't use any Gaiden music though. Even if it's an Alm map, Celica's map music would've been fine.

I imagine Gaiden originally planned for more enemy only animations, but the devs seem to have puttered out after making custom enemy soldier and sniper animations, adding T3s and redoing a good handful of the FE1 animations.

The patches basically turn the game into the prototype versions. I'm more familiar with FE8s, which is basically a bunch of wip maps, with wip monster animation, and a bunch of missing text, and a debug menu.

I thiiiink the FE7 one is more complete. But it does have the Lyn Durandal animation and an earlier version of Eliwood's Durandal animation.

They're both in Japanese though.

I'm also unfamiliar with how these were leaked in the first place.
