  1. Hi. Bye. Edit: oh uh and it's a custom Henry Fleming - Code Name S.T.E.A.M. Reference: http://codenamesteam.nintendo.com/img/char__henry-fleming--action@2x.png
  2. I was there. I saw it in action. I understand the history behind that moment. But it's still a bug. A bug that is no longer accessible in the game. And the only real value it still holds (other than being a cool bug) is as an in-joke. So showcasing it instead of some of the game's other newer content seems a little odd. That's my only concern, really.
  3. If that had been an acual intended feature, I would completely agree that it would be great to showcase (because awesome spatial skills like that are always cool). However, it's not an intended feature. And showcasing it kind of comes across as focusing on poor workmanship, or may cause some confusion when players are not able to use that skill in that way when actually playing the game. It would have been better to show some more typical gameplay footage instead. Of course, as I don't know the circumstances behind making the video, I don't know how easy that would have been for you to do, but it would probably still have been better that way.
  4. Who is the second one? Is that, like, rule 63 Ike? Or is it just Ike? Or is it not even Ike?
  5. Ehehe, further clarification of battlesprite rules requested: Specifically, should battlesprites include only the battlesprite alone, or can it include backgrounds (or be part of a mockup)? Further, if allowed, would these other backgrounds be required to be IS originals, or could they also be custom?
  6. So wait, as long as the subject material is Fire Emblem and the sprite meets the size and color requirements, anything is okay? So I could, like, make some mug of Krom in GBA Kingdom Hearts style, and that'd be fine? Also, for battle sprites (or, assuming the above supposition is correct, pretty much any sort of full-body representation of the character within the size-limits, including stuff like Street Fighter II style), it says no animation. Does this mean that animation is not required, or that animations are not valid submissions?
  7. Isn't it Roy? I mean, Roy's in this game, isn't he? Or was that Marth?
  8. Randomly reappearing with the help of an ordinary magician.
  9. I was looking into ripping them about two months ago, since I was really annoyed that no one had done so yet. I'll see if I can work that into my schedule sometime soon.

    Mouth Frames

    Sure, why not?
  11. Scout-noodle legs! Actually, they really do look kinda twisted, especially his left leg. I think it's primarily because the angle of his foot and his leg are totally different: one's pointing as a profile to our right, while the other is pointing 45° in towards the camera. That's a bit more than an ankle can usually turn. To fix something like it while retaining that cartoony look, as well as the angle of the other leg, you'd angle his left leg towards the camera a bit more (the foot should be covering a portion of his lower leg).
  12. Here's about a fourth of an Eirika edit Seph passed to me asked for. sheet here Still got javelin, axe, and handaxe to go, though if anyone sees any glaring errors, I can fix 'em.
  13. Hmmm, I've never heard of Canada rocks. Are they like special rocks found only in Canada or something? Sounds interesting enough.
  14. TF2 characters have less chance at being in Smash Bros than Master Chief, who probably has less chance of being in than Sakurai himself. However, if any TF2s were to be in, it'd probably be Heavy only, as he's the most iconic character of the game. Either way, if Valve were to get a character slot, I'd be more interested in Chell, since she has potential for an interesting indirect combat style. Also, I'd have to agree that stages with small, somewhat minor gimmicks, are the most interesting for me. Stages that change between phases, then also have a different gimmick beyond simply the change in shape for each one (e.g. Game&Watch 2 in SSBB), are kind of annoying, though.
  15. I don't see any reason to this, though. I mean, while there's always an important girl in the FE games, they're usually not main characters. That limits the potential girls to Lyn and Micaiah. Now, FE 9-10 is already represented by Ike, so that pretty much kicks out Micaiah. As for Lyn, she might have a chance, but what would really separate her from the other sword-users?
  16. Oh no! Character list discussions already! Jill from Drill Dozers has that potential. She'd have to be expanded a bit, somewhat like Fox was, but not that much. She doesn't have that much chance to get in though, due to her rather low sales, unless Nintendo starts scraping from the middle of the barrel (popular NES characters are pretty much exceptions to this). Sami maybe, but they'd pretty much have to choose her over a more central protagonist from the Nintendo Wars series. Either way, a character from the series could use a moveset cobbled together from the units that most closely represent that character or the game as a whole, I guess. Krystal also is an action-girl who has a fairly well-defined potential moveset (pretty much Star Fox Adventures) that could be unlike many of the other characters, especially the other Star Fox ones. However, for her, she's kind of a controversial character in the Star Fox fandom, and Star Fox is already kind of overrepresented for the number of games they have. Aside from those three, though, Nintendo has very few action-girls who are not already in or starred in decently popular, underrepresented franchises. I similarly can't really think of many female characters from the most likely third parties that would be likely to get in, especially over their more popular male competitors.
  17. Lazy gunfire go! Also, did this a few days ago. I was bored.
  18. Aside from brightness and saturation issues, Sonja's hair needs more contrast between the shades, and Ana's hair has some banding and straight lines here and there.
  19. This. Actually, I'd say that I want an F-Zero more than an FE... Anyways, Paper Zelda sounds stupid and makes me doubt pretty much the rest of the list. Maybe that's the idea...
  20. Manliest straight line (on the trim on his left side) ever. For realz. You could probably curve it just a tiny amount and it would look better.
  21. Something else about her seems a bit off. I mean, the sprite itself is great, but it doesn't really give a "Morrigan vibe" or whatever. I'm thinking her face might not look "slutty"/"sultry" enough... Then again, I haven't really played the games, just looked at a bunch of sprite rips, so I may be off with that.
  22. When I google myself, I get a game template maker (ugh), a bunch of ugly things they put in their templates (ugggggh...), and then about half of my deviantart gallery (uguu....).
  23. Fourth year of college begins next semester. ...I have to find an internship...
  24. To be a bit more specific, dichloroacetate has not been ruled out as a cancer "cure," but they're still testing it. It led to an increased chance of liver cancer in mice, but only under much higher doses than normal. The main risk among human patients was the potential for neural problems, which is apparently possible even with small doses over long periods of time (after all, it's apparently been used for a long time now for other things). I was gonna post a conspiracy theory here for why drug companies might not want to adapt a cheap cure for cancer (for fun, of course), but I feel that it would simply serve to kill any credibility I may ever have here, lol. But yeah, before you start jumping up and down about things, it's often a good idea to do some extra research.
