  1. I know there is no chance, but hey, I've already got Lucina, so voting for my second favourite is the way to go.
  2. That's a hard one - for me at least - since I liked Feena in I, but then again Reah was better in Origin so I'll probably choose her this time. Either way,
  3. Yeah, it's definitely the time for some info, maybe just a little teaser, like the dark souls remaster in the mini. Or some artwork, maybe a dialogue, followed by some cutscenes, or character art, I don't know. I would be literally happy with even a title, at least we might be able to learn some of the setting of the game that way or not, because actually not too much of the titles give information about their games :D
  4. Well, I expected Celica to get a boost in fan-base after the release of Echoes, I'm not sure about Nino though... Seems like she is doing her best :D I'm also happy for Ephraim, but sad at the same time, because looking at those votes just assured me that Leon has no chance of winning (I expected it, but still)... Well, whatever, I'm going to be just fine with Ephraim as well.
  5. Hmm, my predictions are a bit different, at least if we see Echoes characters, and not Gaiden ones (I think art-style can be a big difference for people who want to choose a character). So, Hector might actually be the first, but I think Alm or Saber would be more popular than Chrom, meaning the second place in male category. As for females, Tharja probably wins, but the second place might be Celica or Azura. I don't think Camilla will be one of the winners, but hey, anything is possible. Either way, I'll probably gonna go for Leon, because as good as an archer he is in heroes, since the release of B!Lyn there is just no place for him in most of my teams, even though he is my favourite character from Echoes. Or maybe I will throw a vote or two to Faye, I haven't decided yet.
  6. Well, You can always just look up a F2P unit tutorial, they are usually up on YouTube the day the GHBs arrive, so I'm not so worried about it. :D
  7. I will probably go for Leon, Neimi or Setsuna. Leon and Setsuna are already in the game, and with the upcoming Sacred Stones stuff maybe even Neimi will be added, but, well, there is no point in not voting for your favourites just because they are in the game already :D
  8. I also wonder who would be the reward unit. I would say Marisa or L'Arachel, but L'Arachel would probably be a healer, and I don't think a healer would be a reward unit tho... I honestly have no idea.
  9. Been waiting for some more Sacred Stones units, but wasn't expecting Lyon to come out, well, just like that :D I mean, it was all so out-of-nowhere. I expected something like a Sacred Stone summoning event to be announced, and GHB to be revealed only later. But don't get me wrong, I'm super happy actually, since Sacred Stones is one of those games that I just couldn't put down. I hope (and think that) the New Heroes Summon will be Sacred Stones unit, would be even more happier if Neimi the archer with whom I destroyed nearly everyone would be added. As for Lyon, I really don't know what he will be like. Probably Red Tome, but that's as far as my guessings go... But yeah, please don't make him look like some evil edgelord, there are probably people playing FE Heroes who haven't played Sacred Stones, and I don't want them to get the wrong impression.
  10. So it seems it is not actually a bad idea to start with Origin then? I started with I & II and played Origin just after them, and it felt pretty natural (just how it feels good to watch Star Wars in 4,5,6,1,2,3 order - maybe it's just me though), but I feel like starting with Origin is a way where you get a lot of spoilers to I & II. But then again, maybe it's just me. Also, an official PC port for Celceta would be great. Oh, and a remake/english release of V would be appreciated. (Maybe if LoD will have good sales on Switch and PC we can hope for that?)
  11. I would also like to add, if someone plans on playing every game (not counting V since it never received a western release or even a remake), play the most recent version of each game, since the remakes were intended to enhance the experience both story- and gameplay-wise. Also, my recommendation would be to play it by the story, so start with 1 and continue onwards with 2 and origins (digitalemelas also writes why it should be played in this order, so I'm not going to write it here). The bump system might feel strange at first, but is easy to get the hang of it, and - as much as I liked tha action-platformer elements of the latter ones - I actually sometimes miss the simplicity of it. So what I try to say is, don't be afraid of starting with 1, because it aged exceptionally well, and with the 2009 remake the gameplay is also pretty smooth. Other than that, well, I hope if VIII will be a succes we might see a remake of V (and a PC release of Celceta in the west would also be nice).
  12. Yeah, the point is, it is said to be the father of JRPGs, since it was released before Final Fantasy, which became the first huge japanese RPG, that went worldwide, creating the genre which we know today (turn-based combat and stuff). If Ys could've had the same success, it could've potentially created the JRPG genre, since it was non-existent before afaik (which means there were no rules to follow when creating one). I didn't meant any offense, and I am a big fan of Final Fantasy, and JRPGs in general as well. Tbh, I as well tought JRPG must have turn-based combat, ability/magic menu, multiple character controlling in battles, until I learned about Ys and - since it is a japanese RPG - it also should count as a JRPG, and if it indeed was the first one, it could be called the father of JRPGs, but not the JRPG genre we know today. (I know I've repeated myself sometimes here, please excuse it if possible, english is not my mother tongue, so sometimes it gets tricky for me to express what I want to say) Edit: maybe saying father is a bit misleading, I should probably go with the word digitalemelas used, and call it godfather instead, it might not give people the wrong idea
  13. TL;DR : Here you can learn more about Ys: http://www.digitalemelas.com/index.php
  14. TWEWY, Ys VIII, Dark Souls.... if only there would've been something about FE, this could've been the best Direct Mini of all times. Still, because of TWEWY and Ys, this direct might actually be one of the best (for me at least). TWEWY looks like it's the same as the mobile-version, which is cool imo, but some extra additions would be nice. As for Ys, I hope it's not a port from the Vita version, but from the PS4, since that one has more content. And, well, Dark Souls is Dark Souls, can't really say anything about it, but I'm curious since it's a remaster. They might change some stuff in it, who knows.
  15. Thanks, I might have to take another look at TRS after learning it has a bow lord.
  16. Yeah, I know pirates existed before guns, I will try to rephrase, what I wanted to say is when someone talks about pirates the general idea is the guy with beard, guns in hand, yelling and drinking rum - all that while ravaging a village, attacking another ship... Well, at least that's what comes to my mind (kinda) when talking about pirates. That's the reason why I said they go hand-in-hand with guns. I should've been more specific tho. I will have to look it up, it seems I've missed this one.
  17. Well, since pirates go hand-in-hand with guns, it would be safe to say that a FE Pirates would have guns...Maybe instead of bows? I don't recall seeing pirates depicted with bows (but I like the idea - archers FTW). Actually, I start to like more the idea of a pirate themed FE the longer I read these posts.
  18. The Brave pull is an awesome idea actually, I really would like to see it in the game :D As for the packs, though what You are saying is right, I still don't feel like people should act this way towards the developers. If it would've been some event reward I would say it's okay to feel bad, but it was supposed to be some nice gesture, not some milestone-reward.
  19. Hmm, not exactly a fan of neither the Castlevania FE, nor the Pirate one, but if I had to choose, I would go with the gothic horror. The day-night cycle sounds interesting, but the sword-lord is kinda boring... A whip-lord would have been much cooler and fitting imho. But since whip is yet to be added to the weapons, I think sword can be just fine. Just make it look cool, and give it some awesome name :D
  20. Well, I remember when Blizzard gave 1 free pack in HS for everyone just because they released the gift system, and people were like "1 pakk rly?! y only 1?....." They were legit mad about Blizzard giving away free stuff. So yeah, seeing that there are still people with good attitude really warms my heart! Keep it up :D
  21. Some orbs obviously as an "annyversary log-in bonus", new story-chapters mosty likely, NY Corrin as a TT reward maybe? Some special summons with like themed units (spring, christmas) - or at least I would be happy with one... FEH Channel update as mentioned earlier. I still beleive there will be something big, what I can't really predict. I don't think they would make this anniversary event dull, but then again Christmas "event" was pretty bad as well, so...
  22. In the game: Ephraim, Innes, Lute, Tana (yeah, I'd like to make a Sacred Stones team) Not yet in the game: NEIMI, Lyon, L'Arachel, Rutger... also, I would like to see some Tokyo Mirage Session characters as well, like Virion, Navarre (maybe edgy Chrom), or the Carnage Forms of... well, technically anyone since I really liked their appearence in the game :D
  23. IF - it sound pretty weird and cool at the same time with how short it is Awakening - it has this cool vibe and with the meaning it is really catchy Echoes - Shadows of Valentia - though "shadows of valentia" is not really unique, if you put echoes before it, it will sound pretty epic imho
  24. Favourite: Well, I think I don't really need to write it down, but here it is - Lucina (wow, what a surprise). Reason is probably because her determination is really awesome, I like that she has her emotional side as well, which also appears in the game (not just in the form of some description). Also, however minor reason it seems to be, she has the Mark in her eye, and I quite like characters that have some special traits in connection with their eyes (be it an eyepatch, heterochromia...) Least favourite: It's probably Roy... I somehow never felt like I want him to become strong. I mean, when I start an FE and get introduce to the characters, I usually have the feeling that "this character is pretty awesome, I want him/her to be strong, and defeat lots of enemies", or "well, it's not like I hate this character, but they don't really have the charisma to make me like them". Roy was the latter in this case. He seemed dull and boring. I felt almost the same with Eirika, but I found her naïvety kind of cute later on so that's why she isn't my choice here.
