  1. Ever since SSB64, once my brothers and I would get bored of free-for-all, we would do "random team battles." Which was basically turn on teams and jam A to change our color without looking at the screen until someone hit start. Never gets old.
  2. This. Oh my god this. Voted for Chrom, even though i'm damn near positive he's in.
  3. It makes me cry how under appreciated this game is.
  4. This beats every version. guys got serious talent.
  5. Kent, Florina, Wallace, Wil, Dorcas, Sain, and Matthew. Mystery is a... Sage?
  6. BROTHER. I should kill myself for forgetting that game... it's honestly one of my all time favorites.
  7. I'm just gonna limit myself from one game from each series (otherwise this list would stretch on for eternity) after 1 - no particular order 1) Tales of Symphonia 2) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 3) Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (Awakening will probably beat it soon) 4) The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past 5) Kingdom Hearts 2 6) Super Smash Brothers Brawl 7) Dark Cloud 2 8) Soul Calibur V (cuz creation mode) 9) Startropics 10) Megaman Zero making these lists is always way too difficult
  8. Oh i completely agree as far as story goes. Tactics had a great story line, which was the best part about it IMO. Advance 1 was borderline retarded, but Advance 2 was at least decent. Luso actually wanted to have fun and explore Ivalice before going home, whereas Marche was hellbent on getting the fuck out ASAP and dragging everyone with him. Advance 2 actually made many improvements over Advance. For one, the laws weren't complete bullshit any more, they were more of a bonus then anything else. For example, If you followed the one law (not up to 3 like in the first one) then you were given items at the end of battle. The stupid "Yellow card -> Red card" deal was thrown out the window. That and if you broke the law, you lost the protection of your judge for the remainder of battle, which i thought was pretty cool. There are a lot of other changes too, it's actually a good deal different. Also I never said that the Advance titles were great compared to the original, nor that they were better; just that they are great games on their own. I feel like the few things they do share with the original are the title and basic game play feel and MCs with crazy hair. I respect your opinion, I just wanted to know why you had what seemed like such disdain for the Advance titles. Like i said, just curious. I do think you should give A2 a try though, it's better than A1 IMO.
  9. My question for you is if you like the original so much, how do you find no appeal in the Advance titles? Just curious. This, basically. Not to say it's a better game than the original, but it holds a special place in my heart as one of the games i grew up with. It was fun, engaging, memorable, and i personally liked it more. "One more mission... *looks at clock* Holy shit it's 4am?!"
  10. agreed on 5 and 9, two of the ones i've spent the most time on. 1 - can be given some leeway given that its #1. It holds up surprisingly well for it's age, even if it is devoid of plot. 2 - care to elaborate? I enjoyed the amount of customization offered towards your characters (outside of base stats) which gives it great replay value. 4 - Agreed. Call me crazy, but it has my vote for most overrated FF. Final Hallway XIII
  11. SON. Eat your peas. I died the first time i saw this. @Rehab I wish Ego would make an animated for that rant, but that TF2 one is hilarious.
  12. I've played all but XIII and XIII-2, and for as much shit as it gets (at least from people i know) Final Fantasy is still one of my favorite series. FFI is my time waster. I spent the entirety of my Calc 2 class last semester playing it on my ipod. (and still got a B fuckyeah) It's surprising how addicting it is for being so old and simple. Great games age well i guess. FFII is honestly one of my favorites in the series. The leveling system is simple, but but at the same time brilliant. Hit shit with a sword, you get better at hitting shit with a sword. It's almost realistic. My only gripe with the game was that any magic besides cure and berserk was almost useless. FFV is great, and I love the setting. One of my favorite FF worlds. I was always a skeptic about FFVII. All i heard was hypehypehypethisgamegivesmenerdbonersjustlikeTifa and that turned me off to it. But it's a very solid game, I give it props for bitch-slapping me with my terrible expectations. I saw what they meant about Tifa too holyshit dem polygons. VIII has my favorite battle theme, and Vivi is adorbs. X is excellent cuz blitzball. Oh god that laugh WHY TIDUS WHY. fuck XI. XII is pretty good, for some reason I actually like the license system. Basch is badass. I need to play XIII FFXIII? what? As far as off-shoots go, i obviously LOVE FFTA and FFTA-2. FFTA absorbed my childhood, and the sequel was surprisingly just as good. Even if the story is just DAMMIT MEWT ESCAPISM IS UNHEALTHY CAN'T YOU SEE!? The original Crystal Chronicles is incredibly fun. Needing 4 fucking GBAs AND CABLES to play multiplayer is really my only gripe. But it pays off if you do. So yeah. I like FF. /walloftext
  13. B-but teh bewbies T_T C. more money.
  14. Trust Greyson, he knows what he's doing. ...or at least, Felix does.
  15. This. Well worth the price tag. You'll question why you ever doubted it in the first place.
  16. I have SCV for 360, and i am also incredibly obsessed with character creation. I think I've filled up about 40 of my slots so far. I have character from the Tales series, FE (obviously), Riviera, Megaman Zero... can't really remember them all right now. But if i find a way to take screenshots (or finally buy a camera that doesn't suck) I'll definitely post some of mine.
