if you think manaketes are too weak because divine weapons have effectiveness then why not give the ones in this chapter an identical class without the effectiveness

Btw, no offense but I always thought the Mage thing was kinda obvious, in that its doing the rune drawing animation like the Sage, but hasn't mastered it enough for the runes to actually show.

Unless I'm remembering wrong, even if the enemy can't use the weapon, it will flash green if it drops it, with the black letter outlines changing in brightness, which even on the black and white video, it didn't looked like it was, considering it wasn't looking any different from the other Fighter, whose weapon didn't drop.
But then again, I don't have a good eyesight so what do I know...
could have triggered an event on that enemy's death quote, too. that way when the enemy dies it'd give him a silver sword, regardless of what the enemy's holding... That's just another way it could be done, though. Who knows for sure.

cgs will eat up a FUCKTON less space than a custom world map since they're actually compressed..

if you can't file host, just open the hex editor, copy the dmp, and tell people where to put it in the ROM

I worked on events and that from 9 to 3 am yesterday :P As soon as the text gets written for the characters and stuff (and once I hammer out whatever errors the events give me) there'll be screenshots.

okay if anyone is actually reading this again, I realized today that I've basically been dodging getting this hack actually rolling so I spent like 2 1/2 hours on character placement today and am hoping to have the first chapter up and rolling as soon as I get enough mugs. You'll have screenies soon enough!

I was wondering if anyone else enjoyed the Blessed weapons from FE13... I think I could add something like that pretty easily with a bit of ASM magic.
Do you guys like the idea or is it kinda pointless? Looking forward to hearing some opinions~
Also if anyone has any other ideas they think would be cool you can post those as well and although I doubt I can do them if I can I probably will

i'm not saying leave it with all manaketes like it was in the original, i'm saying you could make them not be the absolute shittiest unit on the map by doing something like that.
logically, idk, i was kinda thinking divine protection or w/e, as they seem to throw up that excuse fairly often in these games
since you can expand the class table to include 0xFF/255 slots idk that "it'll waste a class slot" is really a valid argument against it but :P
