  1. Since most of the bad games I played are stuff like freaking Scooby Doo games, I'll make a solo one:

    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I love Ogre Battle Saga, I like War of the Lions and most of the other similar games. Hell, I even really enjoy FFTA2!

But gods, I can't like FFTA at all. This game feels so goddamn slow and unfun. Now, you might notice I'm kinda of contradicting here because the other games I listed aren't exactly fast either, but there's something else to FFTA. It feels like a chore. Everything feels like a chore, to be honest. The combat, the menus, maybe even the dialogue. I honestly can relate to the MC more than no one by WANTING TO GET OUT OF THERE.

I'd say Ignatz. The fanbase generally seems to have had a very negative reaction towards Ignatz from the start and even after the game came out he's still often found in the bottom of many polls. And there just doesn't seem to be any reason as to why this should be the case. In fact Ignatz has several traits that were seen as very favorably when other characters had them.

I second this. It's not on the same level as, say, Cyril, but he does get a lot of very unjustified hate. I can't confirm we have the same idea about traits, but I honestly think he's one of the most versatile characters in the game while also being one of the characters that grows the most between the game. He might be one of the best dodge tanks, his personal skill shines on finishing speedy units (most notable in Maddening), and he can be amazing as a Support Unit (combat art debuff, healing, rally, etc)....but maybe people just don't like him because find him ugly or something?

(And while writing this I discovered that his voice actor is Christian La Monte..it all makes sense now..)

  3. The others Geneology Veterans might be able to help you out better, but I'll give it a try:

1°-Difficulty is...medium? Well, what I mean is: If you know what you're doing, the game isn't that hard. With that said, the game doesn't forgive you as often, so you should turn the ''Auto-Save'' option on a 2° Slot to save the burden of having to do the whole map again because of 1 mistake. (And believe me, you're not going to want this)

2°-I don't speak Japanese so I can't say anything about the story.

3°-It's quite long. It has the least amount of Chapters in FE History, but in compensation the maps are huge.

Now, about tips and such, it depends on how blindly you want to get into the game. But I'll tell you this much: Skills matter (for example, only units with Pursuit can double) and AS can take negative numbers into account (so stuff like -2 AS Finn can double -6 AS Brigand) and you only need 1 AS more than the enemy to double.

  4. Pretty sure Mangs has it's own small team for little adjustments like these. (Assuming the only change are the animations)

Small Edit that isn't really a Edit: Yeah, he states on the description that ''(He's) also using a slightly modified ROM that updates a few flawed portraits and fixes some hair colors and adds a few extra animations, it is only cosmetic in nature.'', so I guess it's just a personal edit or it's somewhere as a cosmetic fix. Let me take a look.

Small Edit 2 that isn't really a Edit: Didn't found anything too similar, but Zelix's one on FE Universe hits close. However, after comparing portraits, they really don't look alike. So...the conclusion is that it's either obscure or a personal edit.

That's all. But you can probably ask at his Discord for it or something.

Really? They're not the best units, but units like Ignatz and Caspar seem far worse to me, and even they can be used fairly easily in normal mode or NG+ hard mode.

Caspar? I can understand. But I feel like Ignatz needs some love. He gets beated because his offensive are pretty bad, and...well, they are, but what I'm trying to say is that he does other things better. Specially Dodge Tanking and Debuffing/Buffing. Dodge Tanking mainly because his Spd/Lck can get really high and Debuffing/Buffing because his P.Skill (for hitting debuffs) + Rallies + Debuff Skills (either Combat Art or Seal Skills) can make him into a great support unit, which should be pretty useful on higher difficulties. His recruitment is also pretty easy, I guess.

  6. Jesus, this is going to be a list..

I mean, most of them are not AWFUL by any means, but they sure get overshadowed.

    FE1/11/3/12:

    • Gordin (wow, who guessed?) (1/11/3/12)
    • Cord (the speedy one) (1/11/3/12)
    • Darros (was a mistake) (11)
    • Maria (11)
    • Roger (11/12)
    • Radd (11)
    • Caeda (not BAD by any means, it's just...Catria and Palla) (12)

FE2/15: (I'm still very on the beginning of the game, but I plan on keeping Clive until the end and I keep hearing that he simply gets overshadowed by Mathilda or any villager getting into Cavalier, but does have it's uses as a Pre-Promote High Mov unit)

    FE6:

    • Noah
    • Fir
    • Wolt
    • Ogier
    • Wade

    FE9/10:

    • Ilyana
    • Brom
    • Malakov
    • Mia (I guess she's not bad in 10, but oh well)
    • Geoffrey
    • Astrid

    FE8:

    • Ross
    • Tana
    • Natasha
    • SOMETIMES Neimi
  7. I've done this multiple times but with pair-up on most. It starts out medium-hard (easy if you use pair-up), you reclass (even at lv.10) and the game pretty much becomes a sweep, even on Hard Mode. (Haven't tried on Lunatic or Lunatic+ because I'm no masochist)

Sure, you will reset a few times because Fire Emblem is a luck-based game, but in general? Pretty easy stuff.

Even Fates is pretty easy to solo in non-lunatic modes. I just started a ''Gordin only Run'' (changed Corrin into ''Gordin''), and the biggest problem at the moment is simply moving around the big maps as a freaking Archer.

(By the way, you should finish Awakening, ya know?)

  8. Damn, this disappoints me too. I was looking forward to buying a Pro Controler in hopes of seeing the ends of my drifting problems forever (mine is Up/Down for the Left Joy-Con and only down for the Right one. It's seriously horrible for any 3d and fighting games). Now that this is out of question too, I can't see any way of not losing a lot of money on this without the Repair coming to my country.

  9. I don't read too often (ironic for someone who dreamed of being a writer) but ''Vidas Secas'' (Barren Lives) might be my favorite pick. It was such an different story from what I was accostumed to. You could say I was having a blast while reading it.

..until the dreaded day that a fucking high school question spoiled the death of one of my favorite characters before I finished it. Seriously, WHAT THE HELL.

    (Spoilers for the dead:)

    Spoiler

It was Baleia (Whale), the good girl (dog) of the protagonist. I could go on with more details but...I can't bear it.

For fun I was doing a marth solo run of FE1. I did not finish (got bored), but the chapters I did finish were exceptionally easy past chapter 1. No save states necessary. But there's some real obstacles to doing a solo run with a ranged attacker like Gordin in any fire emblem game. Once four enemies surround him, it's a functional game over. And archanea map design is enemies clumped up in groups of 6+. You just can't kill them fast enough before the softlock, and you have no dancer to allow for more than one kill a turn. I guess you can allow yourself the use of Cheney (Xane) since he at least takes on the appearance of Gordin when he morphs, but he's not in the game until chapter 16. Instead I might suggest an archers only run of the game, since that sounds theoretically possible.

Another FE1-specific barrier to solo runs is the infinite spawning reinforcements on some chapters. If you're not quick, or warp skipping, it will just be physically impossible for Marth to walk to the throne in time and finish the chapter. Furthermore, this is one of those games where enemies will walk in range to surround you, but not attack you if they can't do at least 1 point of damage. At least that's what I think I remember, so I'd avoid defense boosters early on in order to keep enemies suiciding on you on enemy phase. Not that that would be a common occurence if you're playing with only 2 range attackers, but it really helped keep the marth solo from being a slog of just killing one enemy a turn while body blocked.

Welp, that sucks. Especially the ''body blocked'' and ''infinite reinforcements'' part.

Archer only seems fine until you realise there's only 3 archers in the game (Gordin, Tomas and Jeorge) and they don't join early. Sure, Hunters are a thing, but I'm not using them because....yes.

Anyway, my solution is: I can use Gordin and Draug until Tomas joins. That's it. After that, I can only use Gordin, Tomas and Xane. Tomas and Xane have the same appearance of Gordin in FE1, so I think it's fair.

This sounds theoretically possible at least. If not doing that, I may just try to beat every chapter with Gordin until Tomas joins.

  11. Ever since my third Fire Emblem (Shadow Dragon), Gordin has been one of my favorites units to mess around (mainly because I find his name funny), with Cavalier Gordin being a staple of mine on every FE11/12 run.

However, I now decided to take things to a next level. I want to beat every game he's in using only him. I can manage my way with FE11/12/13/14/16 (MU will be Gordin) (for FE12, MU will also be Gordin but only for the chapters he's not in), but I hardly know anything about FE1/3 (and yes, I'll play them before doing the joke run).

So..yeah, that's it. I just want information on how possible will it be.

  12. Sounds like a lot of work....perfect for passing time until my download is done.

So this is only for Mages, right?

    FE1: Wendell/Gharnef (original, I know)

    FE2:Sonya/Sonya

    FE3:Haven't played yet.

FE4:Arthur/Does Barons count? Well, I'll pick Ishtar just in case

FE5:Linoan/Reinhardt (no, I'm not doing it for the memes)

    FE6:Raigh/Brunnya

    FE7:Lucius/Nergal

FE8:Artur(when the ships are crashing, this dude won't leave you to die)/Lyon

FE9:Calill/The Boss in Mia's joining chapter

    FE10:Ilyana/Oliver

    FE11:Merric/Gharnef again

    FE12:Etzel/Arlen

    FE13:Reclassed Anna/Aversa

FE14C: Odin/Zola (no, I don't like HIM. I like his map. You got to take any good points you can find in a Fates Villain), FE14B: Didn't finish it, FE14R: Thank god I didn't finish it

    FE15: Haven't played yet, but I vote Boey/Garcia (I like his style)

FE16: Annette with Mercie coming right after (I like Marianne too, but you could say I don't really use her as a magic unit..)/That Black Plague White Dark Mage that gets one-shoted even on the hardest dificulty
