  1. Lyn x Florina I'm pretty sure Florina will be a romance option for Lyn in the remake, this pairing is a given.

Chrom x Miriel or Tharja: Agree that Chrom should be able to marry more girls, Tharja and Miriel, specifically. Their supports would be hilarious but also interesting. Tharja support with him can expand on Plegia politics and Miriel is the science queen.

Eliwood x Isadora: I'd love to see another romance possibility for him.  It seems Eliwood is into blue or green haired girls so Isadora follows this pattern and has a backstory with him.  lol

Hector x  Priscilla: To add another option for Hector as well, as I'm not sold on his other love interests, Florina is too shy, I see no chemistry. Lyn wouldn't be happy in a castle so idk, and Farina is just there honestly. The only problem with Priscilla is that in all her endings she falls for a commoner with a bittersweet closure so Hector doesn't fit her story arc. Fiora or Isadora could fill this spot as well.

Ephraim x Neimi:  Ephraim is another lord that needs more options, his relationship with Tana is boring and I can't  even picture him living with L'acharel. Neimi with Colm is not very appealing and she should be able to move on and have more romance options,  so let's add something more going on for Neimi instead of just crying.  Also she has the best design of the game.

Ephraim x Natasha: another option that would make an interesting romantic pairing for Ephraim, and she is a major character.

Lilina x Garret, Ogier and Gonzales: Lilina deserves to be happy as well if Roy marries someone else. Ogier and Garret are obvious choices, Gonzales for the obligatory funny option, well... there's people that ship them so why not

Sumia x the rest of the first gen male cast: Do I need to explain? More customization options for Cynthia and more development and pair ups for Sumia.

  2. Gaius calls Sumia silly noblewoman or something like that in their supports and I suppose that Cordelia is also from minor noble house. As for the kids, I believe the class will depend of their fathers. By the time of Morgan's birth Robin is already Chrom's right hand and the background of being Plegian royalty is half revealed, so more likely she/he is a noble no matter who Robin marries.

    Nobles:

    • Chrom
    • Lissa
    • Frederick
    • Sully
    • Maribelle
    • Cordelia
    • Ricken
    • Basilio
    • Flavia
    • Morgan
    • Sumia
    • Virion
    • Tiki
    • Walhart
    • Yen'fay
    • Emmeryn
    • Say'ri
    • Grangel
    • Lucina

    Commoners:

    • Robin
    • Stahl
    • Vaike
    • Kellam
    • Donnel
    • Lon'qu
    • Panne
    • Gaius
    • Gregor
    • Nowi
    • Tharja
    • Libra
    • Anna
    • Olivia
    • Cherche
    • Henry
    • Aversa
    • Priam
    • Miriel

I don't know, I personally believe that the Edelgard path is canon if we had to pick one. Why? She is the pov in the main theme song, all the trailers focused on her. The true ending is never the default path which is what the church is. The harder to get paths are usually the canon one when there are multiple endings. Plus it would be more interesting to pick up on that path for a sequel if they couldn't fit all four paths in a sequel.

There's no rule like this. The argumentation used by some about who is canon in other games, especially pairings are "default is canon" - which I disagree, I need to say. Now there's people twisting this saying that default is hardly canon in rpgs. Seeing this example, it's pretty clear that there's no canon,  and people making rules to try to push one thing over another and disrespecting other players preferences and fun experiences in game is not nice at all.

I mean, yes, but if that's the case what narrative reason would you make Jeralt have Byleth at a young age for Byleth to then be severely older than the student body? It holds a greater narrative purpose to have Byleth be the age Jeralt met his wife at the start of game, possibly a bit younger than Jeralt so Byleth ages into that place during the skip.

Unless we're doing a Gilmore Girls blurring the line between parent and best friend, making Jeralt a young parent to make Byleth older feels rather unreasonable. Especially when making Byleth younger serves more overall purposes.

Of course, this is the one game where I could see Localization changing Byleth's age to make them younger than the Japanese counterpart. But I'm staying with Byleth being half Jeralt's age (more or less) and a few (two to three) years older than the house leaders.

I think Jeralt's age is not really important overall? I don't think the age a mother gave birth tells exactly about the relationship with the children. I know mothers that are liberal and treat the  kids as "friends" and the age gap is the average age of  parents nowadays.  The concept of  "teen mothers" is also recent in humanity. I know that Fire Emblem is a fantasy world and  not historically accurate though.

The point is that even if Byleth was born when Jeralt was 22, and Byleth had this exact age in the grave scene, Jeralt would be 44 which is not what I'd call old by today standards.

I really want to marry Ferdinand, I feel like nobody gives him enough love T-T

He reminds me a bit of Innes lol

He is one of the best looking male students. I just want to see the time skip designs and their personalities  to see who I will want to S rank, bit he is a contender.

  6. 20-22 and 25-27 in the timeskip.

Unless it's revealed that Byleth has dragon blood and ages slowly so he/she can have whatever age you wisj. But I don't think that's the case otherwise Jeralt would need to be way older

Looking at both Byleth, and Jeralt, I'm leaning toward 18-21 as the age range for Byleth.

Once you start having Byleth in their mid-20s you're asking for Jeralt to be somewhere in his 50s which just doesn't feel right to me.

Jeralt could easily have Byleth with 20 years or even younger. Teenager pregnancies exists. Even if he was 18 when Byleth was born, it's still a proper age to have a child especially in medieval times

Neither am I. Though, to be fair, it does seem that persuading a student from another house requires meeting certain requirements, and these requirements probably vary with each student. Given this, and that you persuade them before the time-skip, the game probably explains it as them not seeing it as abandoning their fellow house members, but being able to help them better by seeking the best education for them specifically. Byleth has to convince them that they are the best teacher for the student. I have no idea how they'd justify it after the time-skip.

Probably in the time skip each student is taking care of their own lives pursuing their careers or ruling their lands. Makes sense retainers not being recruitable cause they would be serving their respective lords so joining Byleth against them would be a big treason. Other than that most of other students would have more freedom on opposing the lords even if it has heavy political implications.

I'm curious how it would be with the teachers, if they are locked to houses or any professor can join the army.

I don't know what exactly but for some reason future Edelgard's design does not sit well with me. Maybe it's the princess Leia hairdo or the saturation on her dress. The others look better for me.

Edelgard's dress is too monochromatic, her cape or some details could have a darker tone of red or just another color. I loved her hairstyle though, but I see why Leia's bun isn't everyone's cup of tea...

I saw someone on Reddit say that maybe 3H will be akin to OoT where you will play through the game, cue timeskip, see how devestated everything is, then have the opportunity to travel back in time (thanks to Sothis) and fix everything, which would certainly be something.

So it would be more or less like Lucina was the main character of Awakening. Time travel stuff to fix everything.

So if we take the leaks as true, then the most important universal character toy all routes would be Sothis. Who is S-supportable. Which would make the child-looking dragon the Azura of the game in terms of romantic implications.

Nice to know that IS's reaction to people not being sure about the young looking dragons is "**** you, you will have this dragon and you will like it."

Which means nothing because being a major character and/or present in all routes doesn't mean canon love interest unless it's part of the fanbase trying to push random rules again. It was debunked a lot of times

As for the trailer, not surprised because I believed the leak. Most characters designs were improved, including Claude who changed the least but a beard is always nice imo

Didn't they also say that Sothis would be romance-able?

    Like....how?

"I love you pre-pubescent sounding ancient talking voice in my head"

"And I've come to adore you as well, mortal"

Actually you know what never mind, I'd pay full price to see that.

Uh oh Sothis would be Byleth's pixie dream loli girl.

Byleth saw Sothis in their dreams and she came true! Cheesiest love story ever.

Also for now, I believe the leak. Everything the leaker mentioned is true. Claude's retainer was not stated at all, could easily be Hilda.

I'll tell you exactly what happened to the Robin/Sumia pairing popularity: Sumia is shown as Lucina's mother in the opening cutscene of the game, so Chrom/Sumia is considered the canon pairing.

Lucina pairing with Robin is famous because she's the main girl and Robin is the main guy unless Robin is female, in which case that goes to Chrom and Robin takes center stage as head female. Let's not forget the story implications of the Robin/Lucina pairing, particularly the scene where Lucina threatens Robin.

I'm actually not certain who I want to pair Corrin up with beyond Camilla, Hinoka, Felicia, and Rhajat. Boy do I wish Camilla's supports with Corrin were better.

But Chrom x Sumia is not canon, no matter how some  try to dictate it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't consider then canon and don't buy people pushing it. I can see why the opening scene and the fact that she had a crush on Chrom could be a turn off though. But Cordelia is quite popular and she never moved on from Chrom, while Sumia have a happy life with everyone else she marries. I think she is not the most appealing character to the players for marriage.

As for Lucina and Robin, agree, this is the reason it's popular, she is the main girl, a crown princess, and Robin is a self insert character.

Also forgot to mention, Niles was first male Corrin S rank in Revelations.

  13. Lilina and Roy and alike children doesn't have canon mothers. They are the ones who the player pick.

Not sure what's the obsession with Fire Emblem fanbase of deciding canonicity in games in which the point of the playthrough is picking which units die, support and marry each other.

If I needed to bet one, Farina or Florina because of the name pattern, but they aren't more canon than Lyn or random npc lady.

Also Eliwood x Lyn is equally canon no matter Ninian interactions with him. Ninian could easily had returned to her dimension with her brother. Some pairings simply don't happen no matter their "chemistry". I'm saying that because some people are ignoring this pairing as it was set on stone that Eliwood married Ninian and Lyn married Hector or Rath, but Fiora and Lyn could had easily married Eliwood and the plot makes more sense than Ninian being Roy's mother.

I'm pretty sure a remake would adapt the players choice by having Future Past kind of interaction between Roy, Lilina and their possible mothers.

  14. The substitute kids can fill the role in Genealogy and even Thracia. There's enough characters in FE4, I don't think new ones are needed.

In Genealogy remake the substitutes probably will have fixed classes and skills. A reclass system can be added similar to Fates and Awakening in which the substitutes can access classes now previously available or rare classes, so it can give a reason for them to the playable.

In Thracia some of the subs were supposed to be fleshed characters so this idea can be implemented. Other than  that, the kids saved by the child hunt, Romeo and Yubel, can be introduced as trainee-like characters for more diversity.

Kaga was there? That’s big, considering what has happened in the past.

    That’s nice.

Yeah, I'm surprised that Kaga was there. If I remember well, he said that he didn't play and didn't care for Fire Emblem anymore. Maybe he lied because people were asking much unnecessary questions  lol

And it seems he has good relation with some developers that work in Fire Emblem

  16. A painting with magical propierties could work as well. It has the same logic of the book or the song. The paint can trap or summon a dragon, a place or a secret, giving access to a new whole reality.

That sounds a bit Legend of Zelda, but it could work.

I mentioned Harry Potter in response to the person that mentioned a book. The mirror in Harry Potter showed the person's greatest desire.

A mirror could be interesting, though the show The Dragon Prince is coming to mind for some reason... (funnily enough, the creators of that show mentioned that they took a lot of inspiration from Fire Emblem).

Well, it's not like Legend of Zelda or Dragon Prince invented those concepts. The mirror or grimoire being a magical object is a classic.

Another instrument that's not an occarina can be used, i mentined harp, flute but any ancient looking, portable instrument would work for example. And the story wouldn't be like any of mentioned games btw.

So I did some digging last night on gamefaqs after being tipped off by several users and have got some info (one piece of which @Dragonage2ftw already posted):

Thanibomb is also the gamefaqs user MissCarriage.

This is in their sig on gamefaqs:

FC: 2981-5975-5185, Flaming Emblems, Light Priestesses, and Toxic Seahorses
    Team Thani FE:H ID: 1168253504

Said ID reveals that their FEH account is called Thanibomb.

In addition, some of their reactions and prior posts are... suspect.

A thread asking people who their favorite retainer is.
Post 13: "Claude's retainer is not LORENTZ! It's HILDA!"
Post 16: "I won't ever give in. EVER. I'm saving this thread just to show proof that I'm right."
Post 19: "I just know. In my heart of hearts I know."

To be fair the leaker said Claude had two retainers. The wording is weird though. Let's wait and see when Hilda is revealed
