  1. Very happy with what I saw for Monster Hunter Wilds. Can't wait to play it.

There'll probably be some Elden Ring content showcase before the dlc releases.

Also enjoying Sparking Zero. I can already see this being 80 dollars and taking half of my wage away.

That's fine, and I will shoot them if Rapier doesn't flip town.

I obey plans and we have a shared PoE, so are you willing to vote rapier first and let me shoot Snike?

I love how this is pointless since the order doesn't matter but you insist on me lmao

what have I done to you

Also this post gave me the vibes of 'defeated scum'.  That could be conf-bias but it tonally reads so much different than all of snike's posts and the PoE does have other people potentially outside of rapier/snike that it has the chance to be.

Defeated scum could just concede the game lol

  4. Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind Snike is scum, although obviously from my pov it's easier since I know I'm town and Radicate's yet another VT who was cleared by j00. I also don't know how I can defend myself since it seems I'm being voted due to PoE as one of the guys who were left out. I don't mind dying since the next shot goes for the other guy who's 99% scum, so I don't care to defend myself.

Even if I double backed on my rapier read day 2 briefly.

I was really hoping weapons would roll scum so the game would end without a day 3 actually happening, but alas Rapier was #2 on my shooting target priority.  Please don't be snike.

From the way I see it, if me or Snike doesn't flip scum on a lynch, the other will be shot anyway. Others have a solid alibi confirmed by people who interacted with them.

imo D3 doesn't get more conclusive than this, so the lynch choice (whether me or Snike) doesn't seem to matter much.

    I'm clear
MAkaze is clear via refa push
Bluedoom is clear via tracking Rad and refa push
J00 is clear via REfa push
Rad is clear via Blue doom track
    Boron is clear via doc
BBM is likely truthful about their role paired along side bluedoom as town Investigation so probably clear
Ichigo is probably clear via Prims refa push.

Leaving us with like Snike/rapier barring no bus.  We just go through these two and if the game doesn't end we look at:

    BBM
    Ichigo

    Probably.

    Agree

##Vote @Snike since this doesn't change much of what I thought on D2 about them and the game got much more conclusive on D3. I'm fine with this lynch.

    [big post with reads]

I think it'd have made more sense for BBM to switch to Weapons, who was his second scumread, than Refa when my wagon wasn't rolling. I don't remember BBM having a stronger scumread on Refa back then, and it was still possible to lynch Weapons since he was the second biggest wagon. Unless I'm wrong about votals and end D1 details, I think this is sus, although it'd imply BBM and Weapons being scum and I doubt BBM would let things get that messy for scum, being an experienced player. He'd have prodded Weapons on switching to me imo.

Weapons not switching to me and instead parking his vote on Prims, then switching to Refa, seems weird for scum. He had a scumread on me so it wouldn't feel like an unorganic vote or a leap of logic.

I think that if I were to flip scum, Refa would definitely have died on D2 anyway. It seems like a poor gamble from scum and it's more likely to backfire. Plus I don't want to be the sole surviving scum ever again (only time this happened was in a game with Randa and someone else as scum, iirc Refa, and Prims carried me despite being town).

I also think it's less likely for Elie to have had zero opinions on D1 as scum, since his buddies would tell him about the state of the game or at least help him come up with a stance. His stances felt like town trying to read, being vague enough. His lategame vote doesn't tell me much since it's possible he didn't have internet access and had to do a last minute vote due to circumstances beyond his control. He did look for a sub so this struggle to access the game seems genuine (sorry Iris, please don't thunderstrike my slot for this).

I find Boron's content towny enough. A small part of me finds it strange she isn't as inquisitive and hard pressing as she used to back in the day, but this is a minor meta issue at best and my memory sucks.

    ANYWAYS.

Weapons could have voted for me but didn't. BBM could've voted for Weapons but didn't. Their previous interactions where BBM read him as scum could've been mid D1 distancing, since his reasons for voting Weapons over me were justified from gut feels over anything. I find it odd that Weapons didn't switch to me or someone else (could've been self conscious scum trying to avoid being seen voting the guy who was voting them) before, but I can see both their votes being an inevitable coordinated bussing when people decided to go for Makaze instead of me and Refa's wagon got bigger and his lynch also inevitable.

    So I see your point.

  8. 1 minute ago, Shinori said:

If you want me to explain more on this I can but it's largely vote analysis at a key point in the previous day combined with my thoughts as a scum player and wagon/counter wagons and how I'm reading some people based on stuff that isn't game mechanic related so I don't know how well that stuff is gonna fully hold up to other people because it is largely opionated.

Sorry, your post cut mine (otherwise I'd have replied differently)

I don't mind it being opinionated because at the end of the day, despite heavily subjective, it gives us associative reads and a better understanding of your thought processes. I think it's fine. Nothing else seems to be happening on D2 and in the off chance you die on N2, I'd rather have your thoughts toDay.

  9. 1 minute ago, Shinori said:

I mean both BBM and weapons have been in my listed PoE since the start of the dayphase.

Yeah they have been listed but I don't remember reading a reason for this. It's more like those last two slots are meant for whoever you're unsure about and would risk lynching despite not having much reason or evidence against.

For me so far it has been SB>Shinori (I confess I swapped you both on the order) >Snike>probably Percy

i dont feel like i am actually a part of this game fully if im real so i have little competitive spirit LOL

even if town win im not gonna really, consider myself winning i just got subbed in and am now dying

    I second this.

Sorry Dusk, you seem like an awesome player and person and I wish we could play more next time. You were put in a horrible check situation and did your best with what you had. Thanks for the effort and for being a team player through the end (people will pretend this is a crumb that I'm scum on D3 for 10 pages but I'd just like to say that)

  11. Just now, Bluedoom said:

The only reason I couldn't case refa harder earlier was because I had like 5-6 people shading my slot for voting him in RVS, so I had to devote so much of my first 24 hours to actually defending against frankly bad takes lol

I honestly don't see how it isn't bad that you voted Refa without pressuring him for more content when you had issue with it, but it's a RVS reason that got weaker and weaker as time passed by. You didn't need to push Refa that hard on lateD1 and imo as scum you would try to redirect to any other slot who's easily sheepable (like mine, Weapons and Makaze were). Far too many options over risking the lynch of a scum joat

  12. To reiterate, I don't think we should be defending a vig shot on Snike toDay.

I think it's better to wait until SB's flip (I won't pretend this wagon isn't happening) and see who else is killed by the mafia + the other trigger happy third party or lost mafia. Then we'll have better content for D3 and we'd have a better discussion about Snike and the rest.

Snike's content is not so damning that we need to go through a risky dilemma of getting town miseliminated now (on N2) imo.

  13. 2 minutes ago, BBM said:

@Rapier it's less about you specifically wanting to lynch weapons right now, and more about your case against weapons feeling like you were really trying hard to keep a lynch option open?

The reason I specifically linked it with sb being scum was that I felt d1 scum/scum wagons are more likely if sb is scum. I think your weapons case at the moment also seems more likely specifically if you know your third buddy is about to die and the walls are closing in

@Duskfall98 I kind of think the exact opposite is true? It's very easy and common in early day 1 to have a case against your buddy that you drop early. it's much less common to do it right at the end of the phase when the numbers are so close and it would be easy to just sort of blame a bad decision on confusion

I also didn't realize you guys had played with duskfall before I thought he was an EiMM rando. I'm willing to trust Marth's meta here that he would be too prideful to roll over as town

I don't think it makes sense to say I'm opening an opportunity for Weapons to be lynched & save SB from a wagon when no one is scumreading him atm and the discussion is tipped towards SB and Snike. I still don't see anything damning about SB being scum, but it's the best bet with what content we have right now and I agree with the lynch (I'm not voting because I don't want to hammer).

I am still ambivalent about Snike, I think they're being participative and contributing to discussion but their associative reads aren't the best.

BBM's response to Dusk is pretty much the strongest reason why my read on Marth flipped so hard to him being town. Scum!Marth didn't need to insist on Refa nor call out SB's votes.

  14. Weapons' motives are passable enough to me so far. They don't seem conclusive but it's good for associative reads and it fits so far within the play Weapons has been showing since D1. ED1, Refa's flip and Weapons' play style consistence makes me more confident they're town.

    1 hour ago, Snike said:

I think it's critical for the vig to shoot tonight rather than save a shot for later where a misfire could factor into MYLO. We have miselims, let's use them.

Like I said a few times, I don't think I should be making it to Day 3. The associatives look bad and I have been wrong repeatedly on the scumteam, so I should be going. You yourself said " You want to set the town up to *win* if you are a miselim.", and I think doing it this way maximizes those chances and frees up BBM VS Rad tomorrow.

The only thing I think right now that would change this IMO would be if Dusk flips scum and the Off-Site Traitors are eliminated, because then it's a new ballgame.

Setting you up as a miselim doesn't give us any more benefits than saving you from the miselim, assuming you're town. And whoever scum/the other third party that might be scum or a SK or whatever choose to kill will give us more associative reads that will change our understanding of the game on D3, so I think it's worth keeping you alive. There's still more game.

    40 minutes ago, Snike said:

12/4 means game could theoretically end today. Refa elim into BT godly hijack into scum into Vig on scum into scum lynch. That's too punishing for evils.

It was also very unlikely to have 2 scum dead by D2 in a 16 players game, even if they have 4 players.

  15. 4 hours ago, BBM said:

imo if SB flips scum rapier is prolly scum and we chalk d1 scum disorganization up to multiple scum wagons that made it so that scum didn't have a solid strategy and got caught in a no man's land between consolidating on a counter wagon and bussing

This associative lists feels like it came out of nowhere and lacks elaboration. What do you mean?

    4 hours ago, WeaponsofMassConstruction said:

These questions are helpful to my understanding of the game. Often times they aren’t that important and maybe not that easy to answer so I’m like 🤷‍♂️ if I don’t get a response. But they are about things that bother me and responses do help me understand people’s mindsets wrt to things. You can ask me about any specific question I’ve asked and I can tell you about my mindset at the time and what a response would’ve changed/did change. Also I think you’ve taken some of my joke posts and just ran with them, I am not being particularly lazy about the game, it is just that solving the game at the depth that I would like would require more energy and effort than I truly have, and so many items get mentally cut from the “I will think about this seriously” list. On top of this, figuring out how to explain my thought process is a whole different beast altogether, one that I can not really explain why is, but can identify that you as a think out loud player would have a very difficult time identifying with. As such, a good amount of my play this game has gone towards self-pres, as that is the one thing I can be certain about and know will help advance village wincon

I can understand this level of procrastination (thinking is hard), but honestly it's better to interact and have shallow reads than no reads at all, because then at least people will get associative reads from you which will help them judge your alignment. Otherwise, players who stay in limbo feel just there and don't help town at all.

Anything you can do is good and better than floating on the thread.

Hmm that's a fair point j00. I'll think about it a bit more but I find rapier's weapons vote here really bad. It just feels like rapier knows weapons is town but is trying to specifically disregard it to justify a case on other grounds

I think there's a spectrum of possibilities as to what happened with scum d1 but I think charlie leaving his vote on makaze and refa not even counter voting at the end implies at least some disorganization.

Ok, voting doesn't mean I want to lynch someone, and in Weapons' case I literally emphasised I wanted to pressure him into speaking.

I didn't see we only had 5 hours left lol I'm not confident enough for a Weapons lynch and by PoE I'm still between SB and Shinori, in that order. Marth's point about SB's endgame voting priority makes sense to me. I think "the disorganized scum due to role shenanigans" trail of thought is circumstancial and distracting to base anything off it yet.

    Fine with a SB lynch

    Unvote @WeaponsofMassConstruction

  16. 8 hours ago, Sunwoo said:

Also, I think Makaze's play is bad, yes, but I also legitimately think it's scummy. That is neither here nor there though since he's obviously not getting lynched.

Ok, bad play can be scummy so it's not always a dilemma, but in your cases I don't really get what is particularly scummy from the bad play. And since we're looking more at content from a qualitative pov, I don't see how this focus on bad play helps town identify and lynch scum versus miselim town or third parties (which I believe Makaze is) that are playing badly.

    Speaking of

    ##Vote @WeaponsofMassConstruction

Weapons, I just want your opinions about SB and Snike, at least. Also, how are your reads currently? I don't remember you updating on them after D2 but correct me if I'm wrong.

I think Weapons is more likely as town than scum after Refa's flip, but I still dislike how he's been coasting in the thread, barely saying things and not pushing for anyone (or even interacting with anyone). This coasting isn't particularly helpful for town, although I think scum wouldn't want to sit around and let town dominate the discussion on D2 too.

I think this can be justified by Weapons being almost lynched, so it'd make sense for him to stay out of the limelight, I guess, but it's weird that he kept his vote on Prims for so long when Refa was likely to be lynched for the entirety of mid D1/late D1.

He switched his vote from me to Prims as soon as his wagon had less players, yes, but made no attempts to help set someone else as as scapegoat for Refa.
