I'd love a sequel, but I don't think it'll happen until after Three Houses get released. A personal hope of mine is that in addition to bringing in Three Houses characters, it'll bring more characters from Awakening and Fates, child units included. Not just because they're my favorite games, but the salt from the vets will be absolutely amazing.

Glad to see you still have your priories in place.

Welp, the story of Three Houses officially has all the nuance of a C-list anime. Hopefully there's gonna be enough good in other departments to make the game worth the buy, but geez, it's kinda scary how far the series writing has dived into shameless cliches.

Talk about jumping the gun. Church is confirmed to be evil, all of sudden Three House's writing is doomed apparently.

Did you read anything I said? I was never one of the TWW art style haters. You do not speak for me here.

I didn't even refer to you. I was pointing out how it's absolutely hilarious how the community didn't learn it's lesson. This whole thing isn't exclusive to you. Chill out.

  4. *Wind Waker get announced in 2004 for the Gamecube.*

Zelda fans: "This artstyle sucks! It's too cartoonish and nothing like Zelda! This game is the biggest disappointment of all time!"

*Link's Awakening Remake get announced for the Switch in 2019*

Zelda fans: "This artstyle sucks! It's too toylike and childish and absolutely nothing like Zelda! This is the biggest letdown of the year!"

Ah, people. Some things never change about them.

  5. I don't think this is real (let's face it what is real when it comes to Smash leaks?), but I think these choices would be pretty solid. Ryu Hayabusa and Doomguy are my most wanted, Banjo's been requested by lots of people, and Dark Souls would be cool to see in Smash, though I'd personally prefer Chosen Undead as a character.

  6. Another thing I'm looking forward to: Cyberpunk 2077. I wasn't aware of this title until recently, but after seeing some gameplay footage, I'm hooked. I'm a sucker for futuristic cyberpunk type of works, and this looks really interesting.

  7. Well, I made mine for my signature, so I might as well paste it here:

    Fire Emblem Tier List!

Best of The Best: Radiant Dawn, Path of Radiance

    Solid: Blazing Sword

Enjoyable: Geneology of The Holy War, The Sacred Stones

    Meh: Binding Blade

"May You Regret Your Existence in This Fabricated Space Until You Die": Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Fates, Awakening, Shadow Dragon

Haven't Played, Don't Know Yet: Thracia 776, New Mystery of The Emblem

  8. FE1: FE has been born now!

FE2: FE has crappy maps now!

FE3: FE has two parts now!

FE4: FE has messed up writing now!

FE5: FE has....uh....what does it have? I've never played it.

FE6: FE has a game on portability now!

FE7: FE has been to America now!

FE8: FE has twin lords now!

    FE9: FE has Ike now!

FE10: FE has a buffer Ike now!

    FE11: FE has reclassing now!

    FE12: FE has avatars now!

FE13: FE has waifus and crappy writing now!

FE14: FE has more waifus and even crappier writing now!

FE15: FE has remade FE2, yet still has crappy maps now!

FE16: FE has boring art now!

I haven't experienced the plot of T.O. in away way yet, but my guess is it's because he was writing a story more about "war" and not a hero's tale like in Fire Emblem.

Stories about heroes tend to ignore moral ambiguity because the whole point is driving the point that MC is in the right and fighting against evil and yadda yadda, when you're telling story that draws more from reality things become less idealistic and more intricate. It's part of the reason why I don't really expect that kind thing out of Fire Emblem, I'm just hoping for BITS of it to make things less predictable. From what I've read since I only have 3DS Emblem experience and barely anything beyond that ever since the beginning of the series it's been a traditional hero's story.

Which isn't a bad thing by any means, IntSys just needs to not screw the pooch in the execution department this time.......hopefully.

Anywho I'm gonna call it quits with the Matsuno shilling, kinda derails the thread.

Oh, my bad. I thought you played it. Whoops!

I agree, as much as I'd like it, I don't see FE pulling anything like this soon. And yeah, we should put the Matsuno praise on hold for now lol.

I watched the first couple parts of Deltre's FFTactics playthrough and on top of already having me invested in the plot without having everyone shout out their personality to the top their lungs on infinite loop, they gave the "Death Corps" (I'm guessing that's an old translation thing?) a perfectly reasonable motivation for their actions.

Like, there's CARE and effort put in and it shows.

Yeah. I love how in Tactics Ogre, there was no definitive "right side". Everyone has their own reasons for what they did and lived, or died, with them.
