  1. I've always found the character designs of the older games to be an little bit too much on the repetitive side. But they never really gave me cause to actively hate them. As for the ones that I've actually played. I'm kind of ambivalent about Engage. Most of them are good in the sense that they're an reflection of the characters' personalities, but it's an little bit overdone. Both versions of 3H just felt kind of bland, but it's not to the point where it's cringe. Fates is fairly good, especially with the generic Dark Knights having an skull painted on their helmets. Awakening was kind of lazy with reusing the outfits for some of the secondary characters, though. But then again, so was Fates.
  2. We kind of do, but it's ultimately the fault of whoever pulls the trigger, regardless of the issue if they're actually licensed to carry an gun. Plus, there's quite an few alternative ways of obtaining them, which hasn't exactly been reduced, yet.
  3. Almost makes you wonder what there's anything that they wouldn't destroy, in a way
  4. It would be, for me. But anyways, it might be interesting if it only worked outside of combat and it was limited towards the nobility, though. Like, you're well aware that someone is playing the genocide campaign on one of your allies and you know exactly what they're armed with. But the other guy knows that you're coming and has made an implicit agreement with someone else to sucker punch you several years ago...Which something that happened before you gained your powers of omniscience. You both receive one final vision of an potential outcome of the battle and plan your moves accordingly. The other guy gets spooked an retreats while your dudes are busy celebrating, because that's exactly what happened in your vision. 5 minutes later, he comes back with catapults and shit and now you're running from him
  5. It doesn't really holds up with me. With Smash Bros. I grew up with Melee, came to love Brawl significantly more. After that, the series kind of lost it's magic. Pokemon is kind of bland, considering how my first game was Diamond and the highest point for me was Black 2. Only thing that might be true is the fact that I liked Fates and Awakening more than the newer games in the series
  6. Yeah, it kind of killed any sort of character development that the winning kid had. The musicals were kind of good, though
  7. Yeah, YT is weird, sometimes. Especially with music.
  8. It's fun, but there really isn't enough side content for me. What if they actually did it on an budget? It's blocked in my country
  9. Well, I finally gotten around to trying out Origami King. Already cleared the fourth streamer; but it's been kind of bland, so far. Granted, it's an lot better than Sticker Star; but they've managed to upped the repetition to the point that it's not really worth fighting anything, anymore. My favorite part is still the music, though. Almost felt like the composer used up most of their budget, this time Oh, and I just got softlocked by that hardware issue that we all know and love.
  10. Yeah, to me, it sounds like it's something that's related to neurological decay, like Alzheimer's, for instance. Except that it consistently forces dragons to start killing everyone as opposed to making them forget where did they leave the keys to their favorite temple or something like that. And the only other consistent trait of "dragon god madness" is that it happens to them after they've lived well beyond what their peers would consider "retirement age"
  11. Potentially saving an trivial amount of gold?
  12. Basically: rioting & mass panic> partial technological regression> probable overhaul of the government > an few strained diplomacy attempts (or an few quick wars because plate armor isn't fucking bulletproof) > start celebrating colonialism until something like the Banana Wars happens with the "rebels" winning. Pic related
  13. I like both, but I honestly prefer Sol because let's face it: It occasionally turns an crappy situation into one that slightly reeks less of horse manure. But as convenient as they are, I can't really imagine someone planning their strategy around an random proc skill
  14. If I told you exactly where that image came from Eclipse would probably nuke the thread, lmao
  15. Nah,Garon still has him beat in that department That, too. But the OST is usually worth listening to.
  16. I won't be surprised if his soul patch was legally mandated. At this point, I'm genuinely confused on just how useful an armor knight would be on this map.
  17. Anyone knows if Wargroove 2 is any good? Holiday shopping starts tomorrow and I'm just endlessly scrolling through the list of games on GameStop and Amazon. Idk, I kind of hate most JRPGs in this day and age, and my family is calling me weird for saying stuff like that.
  18. Well, we're kind of overdue for another conflict, unfortunately. But I've always assumed that it would be an similar situation to what's going on in Ukraine than anything else. But this honestly the first that I've heard of American politicians are actually cheering it on. I'm not really surprised because just look at fucking Trump.
  19. I thought it would be an decent game? It kind of reminds of AW, but with an less corny plot.
  20. I just assumed that it was just an random meme. It's the first time that I've heard of it. I kind of meant it in the way of natural consequences. As in, your army is routinely taking an beating and the one with the bandits in the mountain pass might be one of the few maps that's hard enough to push somebody over the edge. He's an runaway noble, iirc. But even then, it's more along the lines of them not getting around to give him the usual ultimatum.
  21. It's by Square, which shouldn't really be that big of an surprise.
  22. They're almost bordering on being redundant in 3 Houses on account of how poorly they scale. But they're certainly are cheaper to run...In a game that has been giving you an lot of free stuff. But the limited usage isn't exactly an hindrance, most of the time The ones in SoV are mainly there to fill up the ranks in your dungeon-diving expeditions. I actually liked the hp costs for the spells, partially because it kept my clerics from falling behind and it kind of increased the difficulty. But the spell list is kind of lackluster, tbh. Fates locks them in an very specific role in regards to accuracy. Almost to the point where I had to start using every magical weapons that I had. With Engage, well it works. Only bad thing about it is that the decision for most of the cast is choosing between mobility, healing, or attack power in the absence of the usual method of collecting skills
  23. Oh, that's nice. Annnnnd opinion discarded. Yeah, there's absolutely no way that this won't be an shitshow. Maybe in Path of Radiance and more likely Radiant Dawn. But I never really gotten around to watching an complete series on them. Revelations is an decent candidate, but that's mainly just stopping the senile dragon god from enslaving everyone (again). In fact, most of the games could be constructed as preventing the apocalypse.
