Well the game was just confirmed to be 80 hours per route. considering most other fe game were around 30 hours we can easily expect master classes. Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if their were 2 more tiers after advanced, maybe the final one only unlocks post timeskip

Since a lot of new stuff has been revealed since my first list, I figured i'd redo it. However I will not be including the non-students as I feel I need to interact with them in-game and see if they are recruitable to fully understand my position of them. His Japanese voice actor gave me terminal Gonorrhoea. I don't mind his personality, and from what I've heard his english VA is a lot better, but his design and the relatively plain backstory compared to other characters *Cough* The whole of Blue Lions *Cough*, just solidifies him as my least favourite. I don't hate him though because I am one of the few people who likes all the characters so far at least somewhat.

Yeah, as weird as that sounds I think it's true. For example in the latest Famitsu Byleth is shown to have an E in faith during choir practise, both with Male Byleth and Female Byleth, and in 99% of the screenshots we've seen Students get a teacher's boost in Swords, Fighting, Faith and Authority. As far as i remember we only saw something different to these 4 in one screenshot (I can't remember who but I feel like it might have been Dorothea).
Edit: I finally managed to find some of the tutoring images and Rhea's shows Byleth having a hidden talent in Faith, but no strength. So instead of choosing two strengths and one being E rank, I think you can choose one strength that will start at E+ (Canon would be Fighting) and one hidden talent which starts at E (Canon Faith).
The Teacher's bonus is in Axes instead of Fighting, meaning Byleth can switch one of their strengths. I'd imagine you can switch the Hidden Talent too, but that is unconfirmed. Swords and Authority are 100% locked Strengths though.

I don't get what this means. There are only 4 girls in the Golden Deer and even counting Female Byleth that's still 5. Did you mistake Ignatz for a girl or something? I don't get it

Blue Lions: No-one most likely. The 3 Girls are my favourite girls from any house but I ship Sylvain x Ingrid, Dedue x Mercedes and Ashe x Annette and I won't be recruiting other students. So either no-one or I go with a non-student character after time skip because none of the revealed non-student females are doing it for me. Alternatively I could always go Female Byleth and pick Dimitri or Felix as they are my 2 favourite characters, but going my opposite gender on my first playthrough could feel a little weird.
Black Eagles: Probably Dorothea. I don't find any of the BE girls that special. Being with Edelgard might be a bit weird seeing as how she is the Empress, I don't really like her time skip design either, Petra is cool and I'm keeping my options open for her but I don't see me liking her enough, and Bernadetta is my 2nd least favourite character after Ignatz. Again I could always wait for non-student females.
Golden Deer: This one is a lot easier, Marianne. She's cute, shy, deeply religious and has a mysterious backstory. What else do you want from me?

Regarding the last part, the only thing I can currently think of is that Ingrid has goals in Swords and Lances, E+ Swords, D lances and E Faith, all Strengths. She gets 1 Seminar from Manuela and receives 48 Faith exp putting her up to E+ and 8 Exp, 30 Sword exp which puts her up to E+ 30 exp. Then the remaining points come from 2 lectures on her goals. 64 points in Swords which puts her to D rank 34 exp (Which seems accurate), and she gains 64 points in Lances which puts her to D rank 64 exp (Again seems accurate). Granted the first lecture would have came before the seminar but it doesn't really matter.
Byleth attends the seminar with a Strong E faith and a Strong D+ Swords. Like Ingrid she gains 48 Faith exp which puts her up to what is seen in the shot. For Swords, 16 +4(2-3) would normally make 12 if we count negative numbers but I assume the game would just change it to a 0, leaving Byleth with D+ 16 exp which fits (it could also very easily just floor at 20 which gives Byleth D+ rank 20 but I don't know where it was confirmed to floor at 20).
So boom, 1 Seminar with Manuela, and 2 Lectures for Ingrid. I think it works but if I made a mistake let me know.

Well because you have the possibility of recruiting them to your side they probably will not do anything. Of course I expect them to be relevant when you choose Black Eagles but because on a BL or GD playthrough they could be on your team, they can't do anything with them storywise in other routes which is why I personally hate the recruit feature. Only like 2 or 3 students from each house will be truly important, when they could have made a game where all of the students were important and interesting characters on their on that took part in the story instead of sitting on the sidelines like in every other fe game.

I don't like it purely because every time I see Dex on the level up screen, my mind skips to Def and I mix the stats up. Like if a character has 18 Dex I would read that as 18 Defense when I'm briefly looking and therefore fuck up my calculations. I'm sure that when I play the game I will memorise the positions of the stats but for now it's annoying and unnecessary.

Only doing Blue Lions because I haven't given much thought to the other classes because they are genetically inferior.
Byleth: Assassin (Master Thief) Because I need a Stealer and I don't see Byleth having strength issues so it should be fine. Who knows, maybe the get increased movement.
Dimitri: Gold Knight/Canon: If his canon class ain't mounted then I go Gold Knight.
Dedue: General: Don't really see much point not to as his speed is abysmal and his mounted move types are weaknesses.
Felix: Vanguard: Because it's cool and he's cool and It's canon. Does it for me.
Mercedes: Saint: Because I need a healer and she's a healer. If mounted mages are a thing(which I think there will be) she is becoming a Falcon Knight with healing.
Ashe: Either Marksmen or Bow knight(If not a class just Gold knight that uses bows). I'll have to the skills on each one and if more mov>more range. I would prefer Bow knight.
Annette: Sage: Because I need a Mage and she's a mage. Again if mounted mages are a thing she is becoming a Mage knight(or whatever magic mount is available).
Ingrid: Falcon Knight: She is good with Swords, Lances, Faith and Flying. What else are you going to make her?
Sylvain: Wyvern Lord/Gold Knight: I would like to have him join Ingrid in the skies so they can support and Sylvain can get his personal every turn, but if he has a weakness in flying, or if Gold knight is just better I will do that instead.
If mounted mages exist, I will have 6 mounted units and 3 unmounted ones, but I think we will be okay due to, Gambits boosting movement for the foot units, and being able to dismount it avoid effective damage.

I kind of feel like the Flame Emperor might be a secret good guy. Because the only evil thing about him we know is that he is against the church. And if the Church is bad and we are against the church, then I definitely think he will be in the right. Whether we kill him before we realise the truth or if he survives to join our side, I don't know, but I'm kind of hoping he joins up with Dimitri post-school to kick some church ass. No idea on the Death knight though, he could easily be bad or good depending on how where they take him but I would assume he will be on the Flame Emperor's side, but not for a just reason, just because he likes killing or something. So irredeemable.
Then the 'Ones who slither in the Night'😑 Will be the actual villains of the game, maybe being connected to the church in some way.

Planting ideas of deception as a teacher sounds weird. Will Ferdinand be a usurper? Odd that that a teacher is discussing to overthrow the status quo.

I didn't think thet were going to make on of the lords more important than the others at first, but it seems like Edelgard is very much the Eliwood of Three houses. I'm okay with that as I'm always up for their being a canon route, but I hope this doesn't mean that Dimitri and Claude are significantly overshadowed by her like Lyn was in Blazing Sword.

For.the same reason, i see Lorenz skill as very good because is basically a free +2 strenght as long as you don't let the whole battalion die.
In IGN's video at 3:03 Annette levels up her battalion to level 5 which I think is max level(could be wrong). The only stat bonuses it gives are 10 hit, 4 resilience and 1 charm. And it also gives minus 1 physical attack without having any magic boosts. Granted this might be because it is a healing gambit but I am confident that a battalion will not give felix the same boosts as his skill would. His skill will surely wear of by endgame but just the shear ability of being able to +20 extra damage with guantlets(36 if you rally him with annette) I think makes it strong enough for S tier. He will likely be a very strong boss killer and as demonstrated by the king of beasts bosses will be very hard to kill in this game.
