I'm going with my routine: my Awakening family (F!Robin, Stahl, and M!Morgan), Kaze, Percy, Nino, and that leaves a wild card spot for a Three Houses character, which of course will go to Ashe.

Wow. That is so similar to my story, though I singled out Frederick due to his sheer power, versatility, sculpted features, and personality. Then, something about those hearts told me I had to stand next to Frederick in combat. Virion was also nice, but when I finally got Awakening as a birthday present and met Stahl, it was love at first sight. In my first playthrough (of any Fire Emblem), we actually got married before Chrom.

I've got the perfect idea for Classic Mode... Smash House--Byleth fights a bunch of characters with connections to education or an academy (i.e. SS Link, Uniform Joker, Animal Crossing, Pit, Pokémon Trainer, Roy)

I've played all three paths and wholeheartedly agree that both of them are great pairings for Azura based on their chemistry alone. I also paired Azura and Subaki in Birthright. It's simple, but I like "The knight in shining armor" dynamic, the conversations are cute, a pegasus knight father for Shigure, and the headcanon that Subaki can one-shot Vallite soldiers without even knowing anything about the place.

Not a student, but Lord Lonato. When I first received the mission in my first playthrough (Black Eagles), I'd heard the name before but had forgotten who he was (he was kind and just wanted his kid back, so I didn't want to fight him, but there was just something extra important about him) until I went to the Cathedral and talked to Ashe. Then, I remembered everything and my heart sank. The two of us were going to run off together in my Blue Lions playthrough and here I am about to kill his adoptive father. I brought him along to see if it would somehow change the outcome, but in the end, I had to be the one to take Lonato out. It took Ashe two months to pull himself together. Even if it's not entirely by his own merit, I feel like Lonato is Three Houses's Mustafa.
