  1. Well, there's progress at least. I think we figured out something. And if it happens to turn out to not work, I think I figured out why it's been happening.

  3. I could make an NNID for her, and reroll characters for her. But the problem is this, trying to type to begin with. IIRC, to link your nintendo account you have to go to Nintendo's site to begin with, and be able to type in your NNID and password. She can't do that. I'll be quick to point out she's using the Jelly Bean Keyboard app that was used in the video I pointed out in an earlier post of mine. But even without it, she's still been having issues.
  4. We'll give it a try next time she gets on. I'll get back to you on this by then. o:
  5. It works fine when opened, but when she types something, it crashes.
  6. We tried the default browser, and then we tried Google Chrome. Neither worked. And while she could reroll again, i'd rather not sit her through the rerolling process again. She's kind of new and isn't as patient as I am when it comes to rerolling. And besides, having the option to transfer the data over to a compatible phone is generally preferred anyway. The problem is getting to the part to link accounts. The browser crashed before she even can go through with linking the account.
  7. So, I tried to get my friend to try FE Heroes. I got her to set up BigNox so that way she can be able to play on her PC (since her phone sucks). We followed most of that was said here: So that she doesn't get the Error Code 803-3001. She drew 2 5* units. I suggested her to link her NNID to this account. And then this happens: http://prntscr.com/fo4mb3 She can't link her NNID account because the browser keeps crashing. We even tried another browser. The result was the same. Is it because we're blocking Google SafetyNet? And even so, isn't FakeGApps supposed to cover this part? I'm hoping to get an answer so that she can save her units in the very case she might get an 803-3001 error that might sneak itself through. And that she can at least transfer her data over when she gets a compatible phone.
  8. I'm still thinking about how the only lance armors we get access to are both female. RIP Oswin's and Gatrie's dream.
  9. Oh boy. Where to start... -Kagero -Raven -Cain -Camilla -Cherche -Clair -Cordelia -Corrin (M) -Effie -Fae -Jakob -Klein -Lachesis -Lucius -Maria -Lukas -Marth -Merric -Peri -Rebecca -Sakura -Tharja Of all that I listed, The ones that are Bolded are characters that I actually really want. The ones that aren't are characters I don't really care for to begin with.
  10. I have no idea this was a thing. I was trying to get my friend to try out FE Heroes, and he ran into this snag. I don't know what exactly he did, but I'll have to assume he messed up with the instructions. He had just gotten to the fourth step by this point. He also tried to get FakeGApps, but nothing was showing in the Downloads section. This was on BigNox version 3.8.2.x i think. Keeping in mind, my friend is also not the most tech-savvy person.
  11. Is it me, or has the shadow banning become a lot more potent lately? I've been seeing error codes a lot more prominently compared to before when they were virtually non-existant. Before, I used to be able to not get the 803-3001 error codes at all because I always uninstalled --> reinstalled --> redownloaded data on BlueStacks before launching FE Heroes each time, but now I can't even enter one single battle without getting the error code. I saw Deteiri's post, but I think it only really applies to BigNox, so if worse comes to worst I could just switch to BigNox if nothing else, but I'd rather see if there's anything I can do on BlueStacks first.
  12. Hmm. I wonder if there's a way to improve the random growth randomizer. Because as much as I'd want to use it, I'd actually use it if a lot of the growths were reasonable. 0% and >100% just aren't cutting it for me. Like, being able to set a number from X% (lowest) to Y% (highest), while still having the option to completely randomize it as its being done now.
  13. I seem to also have an issue with trainees. I got Amelia early on as a Tier 0 Recruit (4 mov), and she didn't auto-class in the next map. I thought using a Knight's Crest would've promoted her to a Cavalier/Knight, but that didn't work. I guess I'm waiting for a Master Seal, or her to sit on the bench forever. I guess she's just destined to be bad. ;w;
  14. I love PacMan but he's just so hard to pick up. And Mastering PacMan? LOL. That's a joke of the decade. He's really fun to play and it's even more fun to mess with your opponents with PacMan. Once you get in their head you're not getting out of it. That being said, if anyone knows the PacMan matchup, it becomes significantly harder to win, especially if the opponent is good at item play. As a M2 main once told me about his matchup vs Pacman, grab his apple/bell/somekindoffruit, keep hold of it, and he'll go to a corner and weep, because Pacman's approach options are just that bad. And the reason he hasn't seen much use in high level play recently is because of those blaring weaknesses. That being said, Japan WORSHIPS the retro characters there, PacMan being No1 out of the three retros. Play a Japanese PacMan main and you'll be flabbergasted how they play him. I'd offer my insight on the G&W vs Pacman matchup but, I've never fought an actually good PacMan, so I can't really tell you. But again, from what I read on both Pacboards and G&W's boards, it feels like a 50:50 matchup.
  15. I know. I was just adding on more ways to add insult to injury by simply disabling the missle in the first place. As for Olimar, I have 0 experience with him, Matchup or anything. So I have nothing to say here.
  16. Love doing that. Bonus points if you absorb it, or if you're G&W, just simply bucket it.
  17. After some labbing today. -Roy can get dthrow-to-jabbed from 0-13%. Roy can't DI out of this. -Roy can still get dthrow-to-jabbed from 13% to mid 20s. Roy still can't DI out of this. This should be suffient enough to start Dthrow-to-nairing. -Roy can trade nairs and fairs with G&W's bair. However, if the bair is well-spaced, he can only trade a sourspot hit. -Roy can trade Blazer with G&W's bair, but a whiff and he's open pray for a grab, or an Upsmash KO if he's at high enough %. -G&W can DI away+UpB out of Roy's fthrow to nair at 0%.. And after these labbing sessions, if Roy can trade sourspots, it made me realize Marth and Lucina is a bigger threat than I imagined. After this, 60:40 Marth favor is actually justified. Lucina is 55:45 to 60:40 depending on how much tippers actually matter. I still think Cloud is a 55:45 matchup in Cloud's favor because Cloud has some gaping weaknesses (mostly offstage), and G&W has the tools to exploit them. I just find Marth to be a more overall difficult matchup, honestly because there's less options to expose him. The matchup with Marth is basically this in a nutshell: Outplay Marth or get bodied.
  18. On that same subject, Ice Grabbers. Makes me glad they're not in this game. On the current subject, Olimar barely if ever exists to me.
  19. Pac vs G&W? Hard to say. I haven't really had the matchup very often. Based on what I've read, it feels like a 50:50 matchup. G&W has the tools to stop Pac-Man, while Pac-Man has the tools to annoy G&W. As for Roy vs G&W: Well, the problem is, Roy has to get in on G&W, and that alone is an issue for Roy. He has to get past G&W's wall of disjoints, and while Roy is fast enough to get in close, he lacks the frame data to get in safely. Also couple that up with the fact that G&W has no real need to get in up close against him. Making matters worse is G&W's general offstage presence. Roy, like Marth and Lucina below, also doesn't have very many good landing options when thrown up from a dthrow. However, G&W can still die pretty early, so at worst it's a winning but volatile matchup for G&W 55:45. I can see Marth, Cloud, and even Lucina being issues, but nothing that isn't winnable for G&W. For example, G&W can destroy Cloud offstage with his very many offstage tools, not to mention neuter Cloud's Neutral B attempts to force approaches, as well as limits his options for what he wants to use when he has the limit break. (Oh god, please kill me later for that pun.) It's definitely 45:55 Cloud's favor, but as I said, the Cloud has to respect G&W's offstage presence and his Oil Panic. And afaik, besides Neutral B, G&W's bair and nair can provide problems for Marth, bair being able to outspace them fairly well, and nair acting as a pretty good anti-air; Lucina even has it worse than Marth because she doesn't have the tipper hitboxes that Marth has. Also neither character has great landing options, which makes them usmash fodder especially in high %s. In Marth's defense, however, G&W has to respect the tipper. Also both characters have Tilts and Fair that G&W has to be cautious about. Probably 45:55 in Marth's favor, probably 50:50 Lucina, but I'll have to fact-check this/lab it. I'll double-check with Lord Shade on this too, him being a former Marth main, because I'm not entirely too sure about the Marth matchup myself. Speaking of LordShade, I want to see his perspective on the M2 vs G&W matchup. Edit: Also one thing that wasn't thrown out, is Jab1 can lead to a grab. That, and he can crouch under a lot of things. It's hilarious how many attacks he can dodge simply by crouching.
  20. I feel like Game & Watch is better than what he's been given credit for. All I'd have to link to are these players. http://www.ssbwiki.com/Smasher:GimR http://www.ssbwiki.com/Smasher:Regi http://www.ssbwiki.com/Smasher:Songn Special mention goes to Regi, who I feel is the player with the most consistant results, even moreso than GimR (who also had pretty good results himself). I like to compare Game & Watch to Mewtwo, as they play almost similarly. But overall, I really think he's just a solid character overall. He gets a lot out of his grabs, has very good offstage presence, a very good recovery, windboxes on multiple moves, great air game in general, and a decent enough ground game. He always has the legendary 9 to fear for, though I wouldn't personally throw Judge out willynilly, even after a grab. In fact, I usually use Judge when I lose practically nothing for it, such as being in a higher percent lead early-game. Dthrow to Uair is a pretty good KO confirm that can KO surprisingly early especially on stages like both AC stages and Battlefield. And of course, Oil Panic makes Mewtwo, Lucario, Ness, and Lucas, among others think twice before using their energy-based projectiles, often resulting in a 0-to-death if the receiving player acts careless. (and in some cases, Oil Panic can also foil the recovery of Ness, and Lucas if he's forced in a spot to use PK Thunder). As a result, opposing players have to respect Oil Panic. However G&W is not without his own problems. While he can punish projectile users pretty dang hard, he can do nil against projectiles that aren't energy-based. Mega Man gives G&W some trouble, as his lemons aren't usually worth bucketing, and he usually finds no reason to use his forward smash. Link gives G&W mains fits as well, and let's not even bring up Toon Link. Sheik and Fox also poses problems, as their fastfalling will let them escape some of his combos; however they are also lightweights so they can't afford to act reckless either. Speaking of lightweight, G&W is also featherweight, so he has to be careful too, as one wrong move will allow him to die super early depending on the matchup. Characters with disjoints might also have an edge (specifically Marth), but Link aside, I've personally never really had much of an issue with them. That's about all I can say. I enjoy maining G&W, and I feel he is a very under-the-radar character and he's definitely fun to use and definitely rewarding. I'd post frame data but it's close to 5am and I'm tired, so... I think I'll let Batter take care of that. Or someone else if they're also willing. ...By the way, have I mentioned Toon Link and Link yet? Seriously, that matchup is very fit-inducing.
  21. Mewtwo doesn't really have a confirmed combo off of his grab at any %, but honestly, at this point, does he even need it?
  22. Roy is way too high honestly. He really doesn't have much in terms of results, and hell, he's in the same tier as some of the characters who actually have way more relevant results. (and more consistant ones at that) You're telling me, that a character whose highest placement is 17th in a regional deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Ike? Ha. I like a good laugh, myself.
  23. Three words from me: Top 5 Material. If CEO 2016 wasn't an indication how ridiculous Mewtwo was, I have no real idea what is. Mewtwo's losing matchups are all still winnable, even his worst matchup in Diddy Kong. (as proven by Blue as of recently) I'd have to say, Mewtwo was #1 in his games for so long, but Melee showed him some serious injustice, and pre-1.1.4 patch Mewtwo was also some serious injustice as to what he really shouldve been.
  24. To the person who brought up reflectors, a lot of reflectors have endlag and are relatively unsafe to throw out, and as such, the Megaman, if they're good, usually try to exploit that and bait it out. Also, I've never had the Olimar matchup, but even though Megaman can shut down some of Olimar's playstyle with Leaf Shield, do you think Megaman could do anything back to Olimar otherwise? Because the Olimar could use his pikmin as a shield. As another note, the Villager matchup can be incredibly frustrating to deal with as Megaman. If he pockets the Metal Blade, that's 30 seconds of being without your Bread And Butter move.
  25. Some other useful things. Crash Bomb forces your opponent to shield if it isn't blocked. If you have a metal blade on hand, you can SH zdrop into uptilt on your opponent's shield. Crash Bomb, in conjuction to the aformantioned zdrop and uptilt, should almost always destroy a shield, and if they try to jump/roll/UpB OoS or otherwise try to get away, free damage. Actually, Zdrop to utilt on its own can do the trick, but Crash Bomb usually forces the hand. And I do not feel the need to mention Rush Jet Uair. I think you've probably seen plenty of those. Dthrow to Fair usually works on low %s, but I generally go for bairs after that. I think the rest, Batter already went over.
