Sadly, Rickard has even LESS votes than last year. I noticed many more people voted for Matthis (he skyrocketed up to 115th!) and Castor (another very unpopular Archanea character who I like, but I like Rickard far more than Castor.)

I think people feel motivated to vote for Matthis after seeing the rest of the early-game cavs join the game, the only ones we're missing are the pre-promotes and Matthis.

  2. Dedue is one of the safest choices for a playable character, being one of the only characters that always gets unique roles in 3H (with the other non-MC like this being, of course, Hubert). I'm extremely sure he's gonna appear one way or another, the only reason I hesitate to give him a proper 10/10 is because... well... he's unpopular xDU.

Dedue gets a 9/10, he's likely gonna be the Frederick of the game, the character you know is here for how things just worked out his way, but people won't likely mind.

  3. Considering the tradition of the last two years and existence of both Duo and Harmonic Units it practically guarantes we'll have an Game specific banner in June and a mixed one in July.

About the choices... We still haven't used Archanea, Valentia, Jugdral and Tellius for full banner, Archanea and Tellius have shared one year, and Jugdral is a continent that IS has been extremely and obsessively cautious with these characters... So I think we're getting an Valentia or Tellius focused banner...  This banner also has the potential to be Heroes-specific though, considering we're still waiting for Freyja's first alt as well as the inevitable Fjorm Summer alt

With the July banner I believe the units will be a combination of the one not used of the above + Fodlan.

Imo the list of candidates for Legendary and Mythical in Heroes is:

Archanea: Legendary: Marth, Caeda, Kris, Nyna

Mythical: Nagi, Artemis, Medeus, Gotoh and Anri, Naga

    Valentia: Legendary:  Alm, Celica

    Mythical: Duma, Mila

Jugdral: Legendary: Seliph, Julia, Leif, Sigurd, Deirdre, Eyvel/Brigid, Lewyn,  maybe Nanna, Lachesis and Finn

    Mythical: Lewyn/Forsety, Naga

Elibe: Legendary: Roy, Eliwood, Hector, Lyn, Nils, Ninian, Lilina, Sophia, Sue, Guinivere, maybe: Elffin, Cecilia, Mark (if he ever get a design)

    Mythical: Bramimond, Athos, Roland, Elimine

Magvel: Legendary: Eirika, Ephraim, Myrrh, Lyon, L'arachel. maybe: Innes, Joshua and Tana

Mythical: Morva, maybe: Nada Kuyia, Latona

Tellius: Legendary: Ike, Micaiah, Elincia, Soren, Mist. Maybe: Sothe and Titania and the major beasts like Naesala and Tibarn

Mythical: Altina, Yune, Ashera, Lehran, maybe: Dheginshea

Ylisse: Legendary: Chrom, Robin/Grima, Lucina, Morgan and maybe: Olivia, Maribelle, Sumia (Chrom's possible waifus, though it's more likely brave alts)

    Mythical: Naga

Fates: Legendary: Corrin, Azura, Ryoma, Xander, Camilla, Leo, Sakura, Takumi and Hinoka

    Mythical: Anankos

Fodlan: Legendary: Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, Byleth, Rhea and maybe: Yuri

Mythical: Sothis, Seiros, Cichol, Cethleann and maybe Indech and Macuil

There are definitely some alternatives to consider beyond what I just said; I focused mostly in the ones that have confirmed precedent... and to be fair I forgot some of them xDU

The Miracle of Darna is 632. Genealogy's story starts in 757. Arvis is at least 18, good chance of being in his 20s. If we put him at 25 when he shows up to give out that Silver Sword, then that'd put his birth year in 732. Exactly 100 years from the Miracle of Darna.

The Miracle of Darna has to be the defining year, because Fjalar has no Major Salamand Blood prior to that. The child of Fjalar from whom Arvis descends -barring some unspoken magical infusion of dragon blood in the Crusaders' pre-Miracle children- would have to be born in or after 632.

IRL, a "generation" is taken to mean upwards of 30 years. Although it takes only about half that for humans to reach sexual reproductivity. Because FE likes using modern norms except when it doesn't, let's assume there is no marriage and no sex until a person reaches 18, and let's delay the birth of the first child of a couple to when at least one spouse reaches 20 years of age.

If we assumed Fjalar got pregnant and gave birth to an offspring in 632, and that that child had their first offspring at the age of 20, and that child the same, then it is 632, 652, 672, 692, 712, 732. Child of Fjalar, Grandchild of Fjalar, Great-Grandchild, Great-Great-Grandchild, Greatx3... and Arvis is the Great-Great-Great-Great Grandchild of Fjalar.

Now there is a problem, when did Fjalar have her first child?

The Miracle of Darna didn't destroy the Loptian Empire right away, it wasn't until 648 that Loptous was defeated, after a 15-year war. Being a Crusader, she had to be fighting, pregnancy, at least during the later months, would take her off on the frontlines for a while. Once her body recovered from the birth, she could surely find a wet nurse among the countries she liberated to take care of her baby, letting her return to the battlefield and Valflame things again.

I'll assume the 12 Crusaders artwork is supposed to be based on their appearances during or shortly after Darna, for if it wasn't and it is them as they looked after the holy war's end, judging Baldr's shonen ~18-ish appearance, he would've been in diapers during the Miracle, not exactly Crusader material. Fjalar herself looks to be at least 18, maybe in her early 20s herself in the artwork. If she was 18, then after 15 years of war that'd put her at 33, still potentially plenty fertile. It's plausible she could've waited that long, but nothing says she didn't get married at some point. I'd expect Heim at least got married and had kids during the war, the Naga dude looks too old to be having children in the artwork already, although being male means pregnancy would've never gotten in his way from fighting.

Now, what if we imagined Fjalar waited nine years from the Miracle, at a point when the tide had clearly turned against Loptous, before getting married and pregnant, giving birth in the next year? That'd put her first child in 642, which lets us use the "generation = 30 years" estimate to go 642, 672, 702, 732. Child, Grandchild, Great-Grandchild, Great-Great Grandchild. Arvis is the Great-Great Grandchild of Fjalar.

It wouldn't have to be a choice not to have a first child until 30 that's result in a higher than 20-year generation spacing. Major Holy Blood inheritance is supposed to be totally random, even if it most often tends to be the firstborn in-game. Perhaps it took until baby no. 3 for the Brand-child of Fjalar to get their Brand baby? Or you could have more mundane issues of children dying at birth or any other time before they can successfully procreate, and couples who struggle to conceive.

TL;DR Arvis is likely somewhere between the Greatx2 and Greatx4 Grandchild of Fjalar.

Oh My, so you actually were quite close with your blind guess.

    Nice analysis! 😄

I'd maybe argue Njorun's resemblance to Altena being approaching clonal status.

If there were to be a single Crusader who was Mythic'ed, I'd bet it'd be Fjalar.:

    heroesfala.jpg

This looks strong and fierce, admirable traits in a female character. Fjalar's lineage isn't the least important either, Arvis is in some measure important to Jugdral's plot, a little more than Neir's heirs. Honestly, I'd be interested in hearing what words she'd have to say to her ~great-great grandchild who allowed the empire and dark god she destroyed to return.

Now this makes me wonder how much generations exists between Fjalar and Arvis, considering how there is like a 100~ year difference it would actually be possible to calculate.

Given you listed Nanna and Caeda, what about Sothe? Isn't he a Caeda archetype like Lilina?

I had to stretch it with Archanea and Jugdral, with Tellius I had so many options that some ended up slipping from my mind xD.

Elibe also has Bramimond, which implies Athos and potentially Nergal.

Oh crap!... Fixed! You're right I forgot to mention Athos too xD (I have my doubts about Nergal being a Mythic because Nemesis is a thing).

  8. 5 minutes ago, Icelerate said:

You forgot Bramimond for Elibe. Also, I'd say Athos is a notable omission given his popularity and being a counterpart to Bramimond. Maybe Nergal too.

I'd say Elincia is a notable omission and Sanaki is potential.

Oh wow, even if I separate the characters depending where they had their biggest role, it still puts Blazing Blade in the bigger end, and there is definitely demand and predecent for a Athos Mythic.

True, I forgot to mention Elincia (the other potential Tellius Legenday, and potential releasing in April), I technically forgot Sanaki too, but in her case so far doesn't exist the precedent... at least for now.

I would personally treat Legendaries and Mythics as the same when it comes to scheduling, and if IS does the same then it rather neatly explains how the seemingly lopsided counts are actually perfectly fair.

I can see that, thought, that makes me think that Valentia is the first continent to exhaust all their potential Mythic/Legendary Heroes, with all the lords already used and the two gods too.

Also, Three Houses to that point too considering they only really need to add Byleth now (any other potentially Legendary/Mythic unit could be a stretch I suppose).

    So about the total numbers...

Archanea: Marth, Tiki, Naga* (Notable omissions: Medeus; other potential new legendary/mythical: Caeda)

Valentia: Alm, Celica, Duma, Mila (Notable omissions: none; potential: ???)

Jugdral: Seliph, Julia, Leif (Notable omissions: Sigurd; potential: Deirdre, Lewyn, Nanna)

Elibe: Roy, Lilina, Eliwood, Hector, Lyn, Bramimond (Notable omissions: None; potential: Ninian)

Magvel: Eirika, Ephraim (Notable omissions: none?; potential: Lyon)

Tellius: Ike, Yune, Altina (Notable omissions: Micaiah, Ashera; potential: Lehran, Dheginshea, Soren)

Awakening: Chrom, Robin/Grima, Lucina, Naga* (Notable omissions: ???; potential... I guess another Robin)

Fates: Corrin (F), Azura, Ryoma (Notable omissions: Anankos; potential: Xander, technically any of the Royal Siblings I suppose).

Three Houses: Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, Sothis, Seiros (Notable omissions: Byleth; potential: Rhea?)

Edit: Add Athos to Elibe's notable omissions; Elincia to Tellius' omissions; there imagine I'm missing other potential candidates, you're free to comment your own choices)

Also Edit: Bramimond was added, because for some reason I missed them xd

While I think it would be unlikely, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if next month gives refines to 3 standard pool units, 1 Grail unit, Valentine Hector, and the entire first spring banner, as that wouldn't even require them to add an extra New Power banner for the spring banner characters.

The Spring Units funny enough not even need to get new sprites in order to get new Prfs, because their weapons designs are already unique to them so they just need to change slightly the name, or something like that xD.

  11. I have a few in mind

Eternal Tome (Sophia): (OG effect is Raven tome + Bracing Stance 2)

Make the stance effect also include Atk, go to +5 and give it Guard effect too. You would also make it work if the enemy is at full HP because... why not?

Awakening Falchion (Lucina and others): (OG effect is Renewal 3 and Spectrum Bond (+4))

Make the Bond Effect +5, work at Range 2; you can also make the weapon give debuff negation if isn't strong enough xd

Breath of Fog (Mini Tiki and Wumbo Tiki): (OG effect is Renewal 3 and a team-specific Range 2 Atk/Def Bond effect (+5))

Make the Bond effect work with any unit, but give extra stats with Sword and Dragon Allies (+7 total); also make the effect give Resistance too.

Cymbeline (Sanaki): (OG effect is Drive Attack 2 and a team-specific Range 2 Atk/Res Bond effect (+5))

Make the Bond effect work with any unit, but give extra stats with Flying Allies (+7 total); also, Drive Attack 2 is now Joint Drive Atk + JDRes (ow yeah).

Naga (Julia: Naga's Blood): (OG effect is Bracing Stance 2 + a very specific specific mix of Close Ward and Mystic Boost)

Make the weapon have Guard effect in Enemy Phase (against Dragons all the time), +5 Atk/Res when fighting magic (Tome, Staff, Breath) enemy, and make the anti-adaptive damage universal (just in case).

Axe of Virility (Bartre): Give it a CONDITIONAL BRAVE EFFECT. OW YEAH xd

They’re not afraid to do male dominated banners with Sacred Stones, so I wish they would do the same with Echoes. If we do get it as the midpoint banner later on, I wouldn’t be surprised if they skip over Tatiana in favor of Palla + New OC, followed by a grab bag pick of males. Tatiana is ensured to be a hit whenever she pops up, whereas saving presumably Est for the last playable female Echoes character on a banner is a bit... questionable lol.

I think is a bit funny, how despite most of the characters associated with the usual Est characteristics are quite popular; Est herself seems to have been carried out mostly for the popularity of Catria and the people associated with her through gameplay (I'm sure a lot of people know of Est, either for shared images of the trio of because people's description of her being shared when people talk of Nino).

    ____

About predictions, I personally believe is either Blazing Blade or Fates, we're still a bit too soon to release Three Houses stuff again (the last banner was just 4 Months ago, and while he had saw Three Houses appear frequently in seasonals, we're still like 4 months away from the difference there was in between Lysithea's and Shamir's banner).

During the banner release we'll be a 11 months away from Fates' previous banner and more of one YEAR since the Blazing Blade banner, considering how the cast, surprisingly, hasn't been exploited as much as it could be; they're the most likely candidate for the next banner.

Unless IS decides to drop SoV this time, but I doubt it, I don't think we're gonna see a SoV banner until like October at least having a game without banners for two years brings bad rep to them.

It's 24 in Gen 1. 24 in Gen 2, but Iuchar or Iucharba must die and Finn now aged returns to keep things at 24 playables despite the brother's death. 14 Subs too.

48 total characters ignoring the Subs is pretty average for this franchise, maybe slightly high. But it being split among two generations which are regarded as somewhat separate is what makes it "small".

The cast is clearly not small, but isn't as bloated compared with Archanea, and the subs are pretty much expendable in the subject of representation, the ones that got cards were quite affortunate, and that was in part thanks to FE4 representation in Cipher was in a position where it was able to put minor characters like the previously mentioned Pamela and Díthorba.

But anyway, the point is that Sacred Stones got screwed in getting boosters.

  14. 2 hours ago, Tybrosion said:

So, I was curious to know which playable characters in Heroes never got at least one card in Cipher and this was what I found:

From Heroes: Gustav, Henriette, Gunnthra, Hrid, Ylgr, Laegjarn, Helbindi, Hel, Freyja, Reginn
From any of the other games: Eremiya, Rudolf, Duma, Veld, Kempf, Geese, Bramimond, Duessel, Caellach, Jorge, Mustafa

Oh and no, I didn't forget Dithorba. She actually did get a card, while someone like Duessel of all characters never did. You can't make something like that up.

The fact that the FE4 playable cast isn't particular big, and Jugdral appeared in more boosters thanks to how the game is divided. FE4 stuff appeared in 4 Booster Series (and that isn't even counting FE5 that also appeared in two boosters, compared with Sacred Stones that appeared in... 2... and one of the boosters they had, was shared with Three Houses... in it's debut...).

Considering this I'm not exactly surprised that they had troubling getting anything.

I guess. I don't remember the class name right now. XD And as for Ashe, I'm happy that the idea was helpful. I made him a priest because he's such a sweetie, and he was good with lances so it kind of went from there. Happened upon his propensity for res, and he could tank magic about as well as Mercedes as a...uhhh that infantry female-only magic class. She was glued to her magic bow, though (and Ashe got to hold onto a nice spear.) Anyway, they were basically untouchable by magic. Great for counter-killing them/luring them/tanking magic with massive range until the foe mages ran out.

The base game mounted mages are Dark Knight and Holy Knight, so yeah, it should be that one.

So with this latest paralogue, it is now possible to get a Tenth Stratum map in the Training Tower with just two units.

      Reveal hidden contents

    kmxm09a.png

With the way the Tenth Stratum specifically works, it always ensures that its maps will have the same unit types (like Melee Infantry or Ranged Cavalry) as the story map it is using.

However, since the above map featured two Ranged Armors (Alfonse and Henriette) with four units total and with there being no Ranged Armors in the PvE unit pool, there are no units available to take their places so this map in particular is just left with two units.

They need to add Emperor Arvis then (?)

That's it for the first match of the final round. Roy, Lilina, Lyn, Hector, Fiora, and Nino all advance to the next match, with each of them getting 2 or more votes (Roy, Lyn, Hector, and Fiora with 2, Nino with 3, and Lilina with 4). Fir, Sophia, Cecilia, and Priscilla all received only a single vote each and have been removed from the tournament.

Uff... I forgot to come here before hahaha xD
