Lucina is sort of a Special Case (she is one of their more popular characters, the most popular character of their most succesful game since Mystery of Emblem, and it's not the first time she got a lot of special treatment), if one character somehow can get three aditional version of themself in the same year, that character is Lucina.

Well; Sakurai and the IS developers actually talked about the decision to put Ike in Smash... (as I said; during RD Early Development Days) And we have the Roy's case (and even other no-FE characters)... Smash guarantees Popularity and Legacy.

Personally I think Ike being in Snash actually afected the development somehow... I mean; during the Early Development Days where they're still creating the New MC, appears Sakurai asking you for a FE character, and he is also searching a Heavy Blade Character... This looked like a Win-Win deal for Ike even if the future FE game flopped.

I'm just posting my unpopular opinions and things that bothers me about Ike; I wasn't dedicating my post to attack Ike... Just to say my opinions.

Well... Liking Ike is a popular opinion.

- I'm not a fan of using cavaliers, and I mostly use them if I feel I need it or I actually like them (like Mathilda) - Ike is the most overrated character in the existence of the world... I think everyone agrees Ike's existence in FE10 overshadows everything, but I also dislike how his "development" works in FE9. He is a nice guy... but oh god... the games makes me want to hate him for being so... perfect (FE10) or over-plot-protected (FE9) - Faye is my favorite Echoes's Villager, I understand why people dislikes her, but i don't think she is that bad. - The only Royale Siblings (Fates) I like (personality-wise) are Sakura and Elise; I'm indifferent with the rest. - FE10 is a flawed game (still one of my favorites in the franchise); and the DB Chapters, even if they're the most "painful" are also the most fun (and have overall the best map design). - Delthea is the BEST mage in FE Echoes, nor Celica or other overrated characters. - Eliwood is my favorite of the Blazing Blade Trio. - Also, Micaiah and Roy are my favorite lords. - Lyn is overrated and the only reason she isn't considered (usually) a worse unit than someone like Roy or Micaiah is because she is in a easier (a lot easier) game.

Yeah, her issues are mostly her base speed and her low base level (if she gained was like in Lv7 and have some extra points in the stats she would have a decent start).
