  1. I think I'll be leaving, guys. For you and your family, take care.
  2. Maybe I'll get a job today. Fingers crossed. Not yet, I need to finish Thracia and Tear Ring first. Impossible, this is not Genealogy. Top 3 They're the actual ones. Gayorg truly was a hero for that.
  3. You're not up to date with the SoV meta, are you? Gaining a single level with a character so that everything else becomes simpler ≠ overgrind Expanding on what Muzzy said above, in addition to those pesky avoid tiles, your units just plain suck. The best ways to deal damage are the Lightning Sword and Tobin's crits with Excalibur. Meanwhile, maps like Grieth's Citadel or Nuibaba's Abode are far enough in the game that you'll likely have more ways to make the experience less painful. It can be immensely helpful if you do Alm's Act 3 first and send a Killer Bow to Celica, it enables Leon to do things like that. You probably won't be as well prepared as this guy, this is just an example. One more example: in Dolth's Keep you will have your Dread Fighter with a Brave Sword, Celica and Mae with Seraphim, Palla and Catria with Blessed and Leon (and Atlas if you made him an archer) with the Killer Bow to deal with enemies. In Zofia's Castle, your options are limited, so it's going to be a slow march to victory.
  4. I saw that Hinoka got a Legendary variant in FEH and that was my reaction I installed FEH again immediately and reignited the flame that I thought had gone out in my heart involving the franchise. Should I go back to playing Fates and create Ultimate Hinoka™ or should I go back to playing Shadows of Valentia and get the Blitzkrieg achievement again? I'm itching to do the latter to prove someone wrong.
  5. To make Clive good you just need to be efficient. That's it. He's just a cog in the wheel. Gaiden/Echoes are games that were created with a bit of grinding in mind. By exploring Dungeons at least once you are bound to find money (you can also make some cash selling items too) and gain a few levels, and Ridersbane should be your priority alongside the Brave Sword and the Killer Bow. These things should come naturally to you. Just exploring the Deliverance Hideout can be enough to level up, and a promoted Clive is a big help (and that's without factoring into the equation if you intend to use Python, which makes the case for Clive even stronger). Zofia's Castle is arguably the hardest map in the game and, even if you don't want that measly level up, unpromoted Clive is decent on the map. Mathilda can't fight very well in the map she joins unless you backtrack to grind (triggering reinforcements in the process) or wait until the Sylvan Shrine, where she doesn't fight very well as a lvl 1 unit. Meanwhile, if you're using Clive regularly he's probably on lvl 5 more or less. Leveling up once with Clive is simply more efficient in the long run than training Mathilda. Saying he's bad because he needs a little care before he gets going is like saying Seliph is a unit bad because he needs it too, especially since those care are things you should already be doing normally in the game to lessen the frustration. Don't get it wrong, Clive doesn't come close to being a Seliph, he's still a good unit and the best Paladin until Zeke joins. Armos are still bogged down by 4 movement. For them to perform similarly to him on this map, they need to be minimally trained, and for that you have to be using them regularly, which is a great opportunity cost. You're better off giving EXP to Alm/Merc/Archer for them to hit certain thresholds in upcoming maps (and maybe even do the Dread Fighter loop). The most tedious. Mozu good (in Conquest) but she has a lot of opportunity cost. But we already have a name for it, it's called bad game design.
  6. Extremely dishonest argument. Units like Amelia can barely survive a round of battle and need extreme babying to get anywhere near "good". Meanwhile, Clive joins as a capable unit needing only 1 level to promote and become very good. That's in a game where 80% of the units need something to really get going. Firstly, backtracking only causes enemy spawns if you moved past the starting point in Act 3. If not, you can backtrack at will to train and/or promote your units. Second, if you took the optimal path, Clive will already be promoted and ready to take on the paladins in Act 3, making backtracking unnecessary. Witches are slow and Clive has high bulk, they won't 1-hit k.o. him. Maybe, but Armors still have low mov and you're better off warping Alm/Merc/Archer through the map, so Clive still takes the cake. Clive is a good unit that tricks you into thinking he's a bad unit due to the ways in which he's good not being immediately obvious to first-time players. I experienced this myself. Mathilda is mediocre, as she has a bunch of major weaknesses that hold her back, like her horrible join level, joining bulk and availability (missing out on a full half of the game, and many of the hardest maps except for the 3 act 4 ones, where she’s bad). The best thing about her is getting her killed to inject some drama in Alm's sterile route By Act 4 the usefulness of Paladins and Gold Knights falls off (and Zeke probably outclasses both Clive and Mathilda anyway). His true use is in Act 3 where he is the best user of Ridersbane and a good part of the enemies you face are cavaliers, and this is the argument proposed in his favor. Mekkah explains all this better in his video that I linked in my first reply.
  7. Clive is A+ tier, while Matilda is B+. Just watch at least these least 4 minutes. But the Mekkah WAIFU video about Clive clarifies the matter further.
  8. You can create Space Ancapistan. That alone redeems the game There's the furry version too
  9. Glory to Koker Ah yes Siberian Wastes, my favorite religion
  10. Me when I remember what happens to Kohaku in Ciel's route Understandable. Pokemon Gold was my first pokemon game and it's probably my least favorite. Just wait until you get to SC and Ouroboros appears I'm sorry, I'm not much familiar with Castlevania And I still need to finish Cavern of the Fae
  11. Whoa, Crystal Clear still receiving updates???? Wasn't this the romhack that made up a new Elite 4 out of nowhere? Also, if I choose Eevee as my starter, will I receive another one from Bill/Celadon????????? What do you mean "one those games"? Remember that Kohaku is best girl I was going to make a kind of guide with some interesting VNs, but I'm glad I didn't have to lol
  12. Sauce Start with the classics https://vndb.org/v7 Everything you need is here: https://www.readtsukihi.me/home Did they fix the awful level curve?
  13. You can't, sadly. The only bookmarks that exist start before she spawns (or after she dies if you are using mods). I don't know, man. The fun of CK2 is that we control "people", not just "nations". The human factor is what makes CK more special to me than EU4 or VIC. I'll never forget the stories of my rulers, like my first game in The Old Gods when I drove the pagans from the British Isles with Alfred the Great only for his grandson Eadweard the Cruel (literally the son of Satan) to let them come back and make the place the mess of paganism, heresies and bordergore. Afterwards I retook the whole place with his grandson Sigurd, who through a Crusade became Wendish and Britannian emperor and was known in the annals of history as the Lionheart. I also haven't touched Civ games ever since IV At least I can kick french asses with Henry V Yep Just use save states, bro.
  14. Spain is not a serious country The best part of the game Didn't you bail out before beating the final boss? Yikes. Every time I hear more about Thracia I'm glad that gave up on my blind ironman run Gone too soon Can't even play as her in CK2 Beginning of the End
  15. More like England moment since it was about the Premier League lololol Actually- Okay, fair Actually the gameplay is fun and the best part of the game That really depends. Yes, at first you heard that bullshit about it being a return to form, but I didn't perform too well and failed to become a flagship of the franchise in the popular imagination (Fates obliterates it). Nowadays people are waking up and discussing more openly about the actual quality of the story. Explain. I don't want to be dooming all the time That's not true, I can also recommend some Western VNs.
  16. Football. I was mad because at the moment because of football. Echoes happened out of the good in their hearts, don't lose faith Rooben. I thought Thracia was supposed to have good gameplay and story Literally me Jeez, why do you want to make me depressed so badly? The worst part is I know it's all true The Bond villain came first Get ready for kino in kuro Haha... Wait until the ending Want some recommendations???????????
  17. The emotion I'm feeling at the moment is anger. It's not Saint Seiya, just some indie game. But to answer your question, there are two, figuratively and literally. The power of word of mouth No chance of that happening and you know that. Maybe this time they'll finally listen to the criticisms of Engage and Three Houses both and get it right.
  18. I'm crying. I'm empty. I'm satidfied. I'm having all sorts of feelings now. I received a gut punch in the best of senses. No relationship has made me feel the way this work did in a long time, I thought my previously jaded heart had frozen. One of the best of the medium and I can't stop reminiscing the scene where it all came together. Today is going to be an emotional day, there's still Bobby's farewell later. But I am truly grateful.
  19. Your drawings keep getting better every time
  20. 2021 at least, it was when I noticed some Clive reappraisal. Mekkah even made some videos about him recently. This is Shadows of Valentia, a game where most units take a bit of love to become really good. Fun fact: you can, in fact, backtrack in Act 3 as long as you didn't move past a certain thresold on the map.
  21. TIL that Engage sold 30% less than Three Houses anyway When Christ and His Saints slept
  22. It's a lot more popular these days. Clive has better bulk and availability than her, and he can make most of the Ridersbane. He's probably the 7th best character in Alm's route behind Kliff, Silque, Alm, Faye, Tobin, and Python.
  23. Even Kamille knows who's best girl The new Saint Seiya movie is not good. It's not Dragon Ball Evolution-tier, but still... #doitforher
