Roy was in because his fire abilities made him more different than Marth than Leif, not for advertisement purposes.

Lucina's both more popular and is the one IS push as the face of the game now it's out. She's on the cover of both the soundtrack and artbook and Chrom isn't. If Sakurai asks IS who they think he should put in like he did with Brawl, aren't they more likely to suggest Lucina than Chrom with how much they love her?

Wolf really just has his Specials and Final Smash in common with Fox and Falco, and they're already at least slightly different. I imagine it'd be easier to copy Wolf from Brawl and change those 5 things than it would be to create Krystal from scratch. And can you really say that Krystal wouldn't have any similar moves? Her staff can create a reflector, like Fox, Falco and Wolf's Down B. Her staff can create Rocket Boosts to propell her into the air, just like Fox, Falco and Wolf's Up B. Her staff can blast out energy projectiles, just like Fox, Falco and Wolf's Neutral B. She also used a Landmaster in Assault's multiplayer, so she could have it for a Final Smash. All that's missing is a dashing Side B.

Prior to Melee, we han't seen Zelda fight either, and they came up with a moveset for her.

Even without being that huge, he's still much bigger than Mario in Mario games than he is in Smash.

And Lucina could get in over Chrom, she's at least as popular and is just as important to the plot of FE:A, if not more so on both accounts. IS might suggest her to Sakurai like they did Ike because of those things.

Lucina and Chrom use the same moves in the opening video when fighting side by side, and in the cinematic “Two Falchions”, the lunge is the same as is the the sword spin thing before the lung, they both have an epic jump attack. Chrom also appears to block one of Lucina’s strikes the same way that she blocked his jump attack. Given that there’s apparently a sword technique that only the Royal Family of Ylisse use that seems to have very little in common with how Marth fights, Lucina and Chrom have an incredibly similar, if not the same, fighting style, so Lucina fights more like Chrom than she does Marth, which means even if Lucina is in Smash Brothers, she shouldn't have a similar in fighting style to Marth, so wouldn't play similarly, whereas Chrom and Lucina would, unless you want to argue that Link and Ike are similar, and Link and Toon Link aren't, because Ike and Link weigh about the same while Toon Link is much lighter.

An issue with working out the ages is the changes to the timeline, as the war with Plegia went on a lot longer before Lucina went back.

Chrom and Lucina have the exact same fighting style. There's even a cinematic that shows this. Even discounting that, Lucina's Lord and Great Lord animations don't have a lot in common with Marth's in SSB or FE (with the exception of DLC Marth, who fights nothing like Marth in SSB or FE), about the only thing they have in common is a lunge with Falchion, and even that is different, with Marth stopping to do the lunge and Lucina moving while doing it. Plus, she and Chrom use lances, and Marth doesn't.

If Lucina's too similar to Marth then so's Chrom, seeing as how the two fight the same.

They worship her while she liberates them because she is liberating them, and considering Begnion has been doing to Daein what Ashnard did to Crimea but for a longer period of time, it's not hard to see why. And unlike Ike, she did it by herself. Ike got troops and funds from Begnion to help in the war against Daein, and later on from the Laguz nations as well. Micaiah got nearly all of her troops from Daein, and only had six members who weren't: Nalaih, Volug, Rafiel. Tormod, Muarim and Vika. Plus, she was the one who led the assaults to free the Daein people from the work camps Begnion had them in. Ike gets credit for things where he was not the only one involved. Why is he the one who is remembered as the person who mended bridges between Beorc and Laguz? Everyone you had at this point also helped out. Why is Ike remembered as a great general when Soren and Titania came up with the plans and he just parroted them at the troops? Micaiah's fame DOESN'T come from out of nowhere, Izuka explicitly says that he's spreading rumours in order to make people more likely to buy into their cause, and while there are smidgens of it before, it doesn't start to get really bad until 1-8, which is after she's liberated almost the entirety of Daein offscreen, and she's just returned from saving people from getting executed. How is this not earning her fame? Ike never touched the medallion, we don't know whether he could touch it or not. And I never said he could, just that he was the son of someone who could, though I admit that the wording was a bit vague. And Greil is the only one to be so badass as to having a title given to him, none of the other riders have that. Yes, all the lords have special weapons. Typically an early game weapon strong against Armours and Cavaliers, and an awesome weapon. Micaiah just has a rapier, Ike has the Regal Sword, Ragnell and Ettard. Why is he the only one that can use all three? The Regal Sword I'll let slide, since it was a gift, but why the Ettard and Ragnell? There's no reason given for why he's the only one who can use them, unlike how the Falchion can only be used by those of a specific bloodline. And I am aggravated by Thani being Micaiah exclusive, Ike is just more egregious with three exclusive weapons to her one.

Why people all over the continent worship Ike: He liberated Crimea. Why people from Daein worship Micaiah: She liberated Daein. Why is Micaiah's reason for getting worshipped not justified while Ike's is? And yes people all over the continent worship Ike, it's why the was chosen the lead the Apostle's Army in Radiant Dawn. Nothing special about Ike? He's the only son of the most badass man to ever walk on Tellius and one of two people who could hold the medallion without turning insane, by the end of Radiant Dawn he's known as the greatest swordsman on Tellius. He has three personal swords, none of which have a reason why only he can wield them. The people who give Ike beef and dislike Ike are 1. Shinon, 2. The Begnion Nobles. 3. Laguz. 4. People from Daein. Shnon's a dick, the nobles are evil, the laguz and people from Daein like him later anyway. Compare to Micaiah, who has Sothe, herself and Almedha, while pretty much everyone in the Apostle's Army express disgust and disbelief that she'd use the tactics that she does.
